I just came here to say i really loved this anime i watched and read the manga years ago and i loved that this is such a tragic tale basically sugar coated as like a funny romance story but still a very sad story and it's beautiful when it comes to visuals i'm really sad there wasn't a season 2 but at least the manga got an ending and cheers to every person who still remembers Sankarea to this day
It's still sad why chihiro isn't joining rea to become a zombie, for example he drinks the potion and injects pentobarbital, therefore his body is in very good condition. Or the author makes the ending rea really eats chihiro. For me, a sad ending is better than an open or empty feeling ending, and puts the cherry on the top, the extra chapter i can feel rea's sadness being left alone cause she's become immortal
@@munubi9845 It was truly a dumb vague ending, author deemed the extra chapter to be non-canon as said in the same chapter, and was supposedly up to fans of how to interpret it but it was factual that Rea ended up likely all alone.
Even though i watched this anime in 2024, Somehow it brings back my memories of when I was just 8 year old kid not knowing this anime even existed. I’m so happy that i got to watch this anime it’s so amazing!!

Why do people not like the ending of the manga?? If their talking about the special chapter then yeah, it's not canon. But the final chapter was an otherwise perfect bittersweet ending
they need to make a season 2 of this this is the best anime zombies are not real but its right there standing next behind you and its a zombie gf remember this is the best anime❤❤
