She most certainly is! :) I love how soft spoken and sweet she comes across. She has this certain aura about her, that is so Jackie O-esque :) When I see her videos, it just transports me back to a time in our society, where women presented themselves with such class, elegance and sophistication. So refreshing to see that still exists.☺
I chanced upon your channel too, a while back, and immediately subscribed! UA-cam seems to be saturated with young (and some not so young!) perfume reviewers who wear enough makeup and eye shadow to basically be enbalming their faces. You have a natural grace and sincerity - and we can tell you really enjoy your perfumes - and I really enjoy your videos! Here, I can't wait 'til summer now to take out my bottles of Ciara and Obsession - and last but not least - Shalimar! What a great idea...
Very interesting suggestions! My cousin wore Obsession when we were teens in the 90s, so I'll always have an association of it being a young scent I think, even though I know it was such a heavy scent in retrospect. It sounds so funny when I hear someone describe a fragrance from my teen years as being a grandma/old lady fragrance now because some fragrances stay so attached to memories I guess. It will be hilarious once future generations cringe at the sugary sweet fragrances of today as being "grandma scents" lol.
Agreed lol I wear mostly vintage/older fragrances... Tabu, Obsession, Opium, Ciara, Youth Dew, Cinnabar, Heaven Sent... I love love love older classic orientals!!
I recently picked up a vintage Balenciaga called Michelle which is tuberose based and it truly Bridges the musty Dusty perfumes of the 60s and early 70s and carries the tuberose into that 80s Vibe not quite bombastic but man does this thing sing with the heat the tuberose is Velvet but just a creamy almost coconutty underlayer very much a beach Vibe I could see this easily being year round
I found a 1.7 of Angel Muse in the Clearance at Marshall’s. I couldn’t press the “Get Assistance” button fast enough. It felt like a rescue mission. I’m so happy to get a back up bottle. It works in all weather and gets compliments galore! My favorite warm weather scents are: Mugler Womanity and JLo Miami Glow. Summer nights, I like Coty Emeraude.
Jimmy Choo is amazing in the heat and I have been stopped by men in the city lol when I'm wearing it in summer time. :) Love your hair, btw. So pretty! Yes, I love heavy perfumes in the summer. I love Giorgio Beverly Hills (yes, I'm an 80's baby!) I also love LVEB in the summer. It mellows and just turns creamy on my skin...toned down a lot. I wore Decadence a lot this summer and Armani Eros, too. Both very nice. Givenchy Amarige is beeeaaauuttiful in the heat! I just adore it.
Oh my gosh. Obsession was an early discovery on my fragrance journey, and I LOVED wearing it on summer nights. Something about the heat brought out what I thought back then was a chili pepper accord - green/vegetal/balsamic - mixed with something like brown sugar, along with the sultriest amber I've ever known. Spicy, rich, sweet, dark, smoldering. I don't recognize the current version of Obsession, but the one circa 2008 was fabulous.
I am totally digging my citrus scents right now, The Key and especially Tag Her Pour Femme. These just blossom in the heat and stay with me all day. Jimmy Choo is nice in summer if you want some smoky sweet incense.
I have two that I reach for when the mercury starts up and most would shun them opting instead for more citric lemonades or salty aquatics: Jaques Fath Pour Homme and Tocade. They will absolutely blossom and create an atmospheric bubble that envelops and gently hugs but never cloying, suffocating, or induce anxieties of claustrophobia. They simple impart a warmth and serenity that plays first string in the orchestra of summer's mercury and humidity. As always Josephine I thoroughly enjoyed the olfactory insight!
I have Reb'l Fleur, Olympea, Obsession, Ciara, and Shalimar! I love them all :) Wonderful video! I've been wearing Animale, Ciara, Beautiful, Shalimar, and Giorgio as of late
Hi! It’s a pleasure to hear how nicely you talk about your passion. I noticed that you have a lot of affordable parfumes, l dare to recommend a few: Elie Saab- Rose Couture( very affordable, a buautiful blended rosie parfume), Armaf-All you need is passion( oriental brand, very affordable, the most beautiful vanilla scent l ever smelled, monster sillage) Carolina Herrera - 212 Sexy ( a pink pepper, kind of smokey, sweet and in the same time fresh, extremely affordable, huge performance). Congratulations for what you do!
I've been loving mature scents lately actually I might like that calvin Klein one. I also just bought Ciara its coming Friday! I'm 😁 great review like always!
I was waiting for the Shalimar in this video. I was given a sample with the purchase of Vent Vert when on holiday in France and throughout the holiday I wore nothing but Shalimar. It was the biggest surprise.
I love Poison Girl and PG Unexpected, I love Flowerbomb Nectar and the OG. La Vie est belle En Rose, All my Lancome fragrances. Spray them lightly from afar lol. La nuit Nude, Musc Diamant, etc. To top it off light perfume or a light body spray. You are so calming and tranquil. 😊 Thank you so much 👍
Hi Josephine, so good to see u back on! ☺Hope you and family have been safe and well. Although I do not own any of these, I love the choices you've presented here. I'm a Budget Perfume addict, I guess you could say lol. I'd love to try out Rihanna's line, seems you have a few of hers. I normally stray away from heavy scents, especially in the Summer. I tend to move to lighter body mists instead. However, at the moment, I am enjoying Hanae Mori edt, which is a tad heavy, but not too heavy. I received it for my bday this past June, and I am LUVIN it!!🥰🥰🥰 Even with masks, people at work, give me compliments on it, so I know it must be good! lol Thank u again and have a blessed day.🙏
Hi Josephine! You have some really beautiful perfumes. I have never smelled Elie Saab, and want to try so many of them, now that things are opening up here, maybe I can do that. One of my signature perfumes back in the 80's, was Obsession, and it always smelled so warm and comforting, and sexy. I also have been reaching for some heavier fragrances. I've been wearing, Jean Paul Gaultier Classique, Essence, a stunning orange blossom, with vanilla, woody notes, and last night I was wearing Nirvana Amethyst, Which has three notes, Honeysuckle, tobacco, and cedar. I think you can wear anything that smells good, it doesn't have to be just a seasonal perfume. Lovely video.
I love LOVE Nomade by Chloe in the summer. It s a good all year rounder but it does shine in the summer. I can smell it from morning to night, superb. Recently i got the Absolu one and it is so different. It lasts like 2 hrs and stays close to the skin, very masculine powdery balsamic, i hate it and had it returned, exchanged it with the original one.
Thanks for your dedication to present so beautiful fragrances ,you made such a difference in my life!🤗 Did you ever tried Jil Sander N⁰ 4? Wish you the best!
Hello Josephine! I’m a new subscriber. I love how you share your fragrance finds. I wanted to share, I know you’ve tried the Valentina poudre. That one I haven’t taken the plunge on, but I did recently acquire the Valentina myrrh assoluto and I almost had to sit down when I smelled it lol.. The myrrh does start off resinous and almost medicinal, but after just a few minutes the vanilla softens it considerably, and makes it much warmer. There’s a soft jasmine as well, and every other sniff I get a soft aged leather at the base. It’s truly a masterpiece. I’ve been wearing it even in the 90 degree heat (though I know it’s definitely more winter) I simply can’t sit on it that long... Thanks for all you do and sharing with us...
I have been spraying Ciara on every couple hours all day... it’s a hot day in California and the smell is just intoxicating. It doesn’t seem to be very strong on me? It’s this boozy raspberry at the beginning with a little smoke and the. After 15-20 minutes it’s like this incense and vanilla with this tart raspberry note way way in the back. I’m obsessed with this I feel like it’s becoming my signature...I have been using the 80% but have a 100% arriving next week! I want to find a vintage bottle so bad.
You’re so graceful, I love it 😊

Thanks you - that is so kind.

Yes it will! Coco Mademoiselle is already there for me.

Notes From Josephine agreed
I agree with all of those. I'd like to add Decadence Mark Jacob, Kenzo L'Elephant and My Burberry Black. All are stunning in really hot weather.
Those all sound beautiful in hot weather. I have the Kenzo and will give it a try very soon!
True👌🏿
Great video as always! Another to try in the sticky heat and humidity is Ysatis. Something happens in the heat that makes it sing!
I have never worn Ysatis but would love to try it sometime! Thanks for your kind comment,
true about the perfums who do smell good in the hot weather but you have to know which ones because as you know everybody is different
That's so true - chemistry matters!

I love Olympea in the summer, Prada Candy and sometimes even Lancome Oud Bouquet.
They all shine in the heat!

About Ck Obsession - I'm curious now - it's +35 C today in Spain & I will test it out.
Love your videos. You have the same calming affect over me as Bob Ross. ☺️☺️☺️
Agreed! Listening to her speak is almost like ASMR. 💜
LOL I love this! And thank you.
@@MsBarbara.651 That's awesome - thank you!
One of my favorite heavy summer scents is Paris Hilton's Dazzle, a sexy marachino cherry, great date night perfume
Dazzle is wildly underrated. It is a gem!
Dazzle will be on its way to me soon - glad you love it!
I am totally digging my citrus scents right now, The Key and especially Tag Her Pour Femme. These just blossom in the heat and stay with me all day. Jimmy Choo is nice in summer if you want some smoky sweet incense.
Great choices - I'd like to try both!

Yes, I love them all - great choices!
I never tried heavy scents in the Summer because I think that it might be too much so I just stick to my light to moderate sillage perfumes

I really want to buy ck obsession, but I’m scared😅😅👍love your video’s
Thanks for your kind comment. Obsession is inexpensive enough that it's a risk worth taking.
Jennifer Lopez’ “Miami Glow” perfume .
The hotter the weather the better.
I can smell on in my skin for hours .
It’s amazing 😻
Why have I not tried Jimmy Choi?? 💛
Now's the time - I love Jimmy Choo!

Hi , do you feel the incense more in 100%or 80 of Ciara ? And which are the differences between them ?
