    A heavily modded 2nd gen ZX10 is summin serious, I've beaten ZX14's & busas but that power didn't come cheap. It came with a lot of trial & error but a 8.3 slip with a little nitrous shows what can be done. Money can be a equalizer, it's all about how much 2 you wanna spend. Down here in grudge bike country I've seen several 1000's wit 210-215 rear wheel horsepower, but it didn't come cheap. The question you have 2 ask yourself is how much do you wanna spend & how serious are you about your goal.

      Modded on 93 octane it was 198 or so to the rear wheel. Didn't have that long of a swing arm & definitely not a rider of either Ricky or Chris's ability. The average decent rider is not jumping on either 1 of those bikes & putting up anywhere close 2 that kinda number. Those are truly professional riders. There skills alone are worth 4-5 tenths of a second. There is a video on UA-cam where Jeremy Teasley rides a BMW & beats a ZX14, then gets on the same ZX14 he had just beaten & beats the BMW. Rider mod is more important than ppl think

My advantage was that I was light at 150 lbs. and regularly took that bike to the track to 1/4 runs. I got really good at launching her and would smoke those guys right off the line. If the track or measure street race was a few hundred ft. longer they would have caught me but they didn't, ha, ha, ha! Best night was a street race against a guy that had a relatively new blackbird. as i understood it (and i have not yet ridden one) the reason she got the rep she did, and the nickname Widowmaker was because of how raw and brutal the power was. i remember when she came out every motorcycle mag wrote that only experienced sportbike riders should try it, because it was difficult to control the hit of power.

    I think u guys don't get that the gen one is a race bike not a drag bike. 400 lbs wet wheel base of a 600 and had around 190 hp and the crank for its day it was a beast. But egr with over 200 hp is going to walk it in a drag race. Put them on a race track with good riders and I'll put my money on the gen one because that's what it's was designed for. Is on gen3 kawi started focusing on a bit more high rpm powerband and kinds more track oriented machines . if you setup you suspension to a more daily comfy commute ride and drop -1 front,an ecu commander to smooth its nervous low rpm throttle and a solid brand steering damper it becomes an excellent commuter for people who refuse to buy more suited commuters

      @davidjames1684 5 років тому

      We don't know that for sure. Prove it. How do we know you didn't remap the TPS to trick the computer (ECU) into thinking it was wider open? On some bikes there is not much difference between 1/2 throttle and full throttle. I seems most of the power increase is in the first half of the throttle opening. To be a fair test we would need to know a lot more information about those bikes, including rider weight, bike weight, "gearing", any mods, actual TP... and even then there is some doubt. Downvoted for lack of information.
      Why not just put those on a dyno and show us the HP when you "lock" the TPS at 50%? Better yet, mark the throttle with some whiteout for closed, 1/2, and WFO so we can see you hold it there at 50% throttle on the dyno.

The bike dose have block off plates so it’s ready for a real tune. My next question is , is an ignition module a MUST HAVE to make more power or will just getting a custom tune be enough to notice a big difference., and how much more am I gonna get by buying the Ignition box. @@widowmaker1493 actually, he's right, my brother had one back in the day, which I rode. The real scary part of the H2 750, was that the frame, suspension and brakes were terrible. High speed turns the bike would flex and buck. At speed the front end would come off the ground if you hit bumps. It wasn't much better than butting 75 hp on a bicycle frame. The '91 ZX-11 was also called a widow maker and organ donor, first factory bike to break the 180 mph mark. Point, every generation has their "widow Maker" it's nothing new. I 'm sure if you do enough research you'll find bikes in the 1920's with the same nickname. Ah, get over yourself brah!

So unscientific its not even funny but is a laugh. weights of riders, bike setups, test has to be done with stock setups to even vaguely accurate. Rider weights have to be damn close. Nobody should be wowing the findings but rather how gullible you were for believing this mockery.
