1968 Porsche 912 gets new front and rear glass seals

- I replaced the front and rear glass seals. I figure it was worth sharing since other people may be curious as to how this job goes. I did not want to do this, but two of my cars needed new seals. It would have cost nearly $2,000 to have both cars done. A decent savings and one more small skill as an at home mechanic. Hope it helps anyone looking to do this. Other Channels offer more detailed info. I mainly wanted to show this in a quick format. If you are doing this at home for the first time, it will be a challenge. This video is an edit that does not show some of the struggle bus moments. Take care and hope you enjoy this one.
If you own an air-cooled porsche, you'll save yourself a lot of money by doing jobs like these at home.

So... Here's the deal. I LOVE the underdog. I started with James "stradman" back when he had 10,000 subs. I was TOTALLY into the story of his challenges and success'. Now, however, his and many others is all about the new car, the traded car, the upgraded car... It's kinda boring to be honest. So, today, as Im wading through videos on Instagram, I see a compilation video of you and this porche. Welp, aside from your relatively new editing education, Im in. Consider me subbed. If you are interested; I would love the next step to be a complete, floor to ceiling, paint job on the car. Use the original color, that's cool, OR... do something new and fun since its going to be your daily driver. Make sure to document the entire process. I love it. great job!

My local Porsche dealer did the windscreen installation on my -85 911 as it was an insurance job. Boy did they struggle.... The rubber creeps back in the corners 😢
The corners can be a challenge. The front gave me no issue, though

surprised you don't remove the metal trim first and then cut the seal away.
That may be the better way
