    I'm very excited for this synth. The waveform display location is great, good video.

    Thanks for the oscilloscope, that's what I really wanted :)

      Totally! But what oscilloscope is he using? Is there a good AAX oscilloscope plugin? Or maybe just a stand-alone one for macOS that anyone can recommend?

    could this be my dear synthesizer patel here??

    Dear Novation, please give us the option to modulate effects parameters. Also, it would be nice to have ~ Voice# as a modulation source, so that subtle variations in LFO rate, filter resonance or other parameters can be explored for a more unpredictable polyphonic experience.
    Sounds good so far. Looking forward to hearing more of the chorus effect and how this synth behaves polyphonically and how the NCOs compare to VCOs when playing chords. Like the polyphonic (independent) LFOs (missing from the recent DSI synths).

    If you think the FM depth isn't enough, couldn't you use the same source twice in the mod matrix (source A and B) for twice as much?

  • @menageartois
    @menageartois 7 років тому

    It seems like you'd need to set sustain envelope to max to hear full fm effect

    I always hated the rhythm modes in the arp for the bass station, looks like the same hear, wish they would just do normal subdivisions instead

      It can have the wooden cheeks seen here, or an optional chunky black diecast stand which looks awesome. Not seen it rack mounted.

    • @leo.nordmann

      wtf... It does everything. And for a polysynth it's awesome for that price imo

    • @zerix01
      @zerix01 7 років тому +4

      If it we're a mono synth I would agree. But it does have 8 voices which means 8 times the analog components.

      Vlad TheSour hehe, yes they don't really show it properly, They bare
      Y skip over it but think the next day or so we will see a million of these videos and maybe others will concentrate their efforts a bit

    • @daftmoonz9395

      There are controls to make the wavesforms act more like analog ones to get that fatter thick sound.

  • @coldwar1977

    i already like it... But it's a bit expensive for a non-analog synth, no?

    • @MarsOneBeatz
      @MarsOneBeatz 7 років тому +3

      no it really isn't, look at the modal 002 which also uses NCOs for example. This thing is a beast for the price.

    • @daftmoonz9395
      @daftmoonz9395 6 років тому

      The preamps and filter are fully analog and theirs a DAC for each voice the Ocilliator CPU costs more than DSP chips. that's expensive to manufacture.

      No, it doesn't. Those filters are yummy.

    • @Heathcliff_hensel
      @Heathcliff_hensel 7 років тому +1

      A lot of these new synths sound like VST's and i believe its because they are built with the same electronic components as computer audio interfaces.

    • @EvilDragon666
      @EvilDragon666 7 років тому +5

      +Heathcliff That's true for all hardware really - they have resistors, capacitors, opamps, DACs, and so on... everything uses the same electronics, just in different configurations.
      +Monster LMA Peak is not a DSP thing - at least not for oscillators. It's using a FPGA, so that's actual gate arrays rather than transistors calculating some DSP code. And it doesn't sound like a VST at all.

    • @lownrgy
      @lownrgy 7 років тому
