This is a great idea to incorporate synth techniques with artists who can also showcase their releases. Well done and much appreciated to both of you guys.
so torn, saving up for a last synth purchase, for the foreseeable future at least. and damn, this sounds amazing. Might just get the hydrasynth explorer and some guitar pedals and call it a day and start saving up again for all of them
Peak is my fav synth. It sounds very accurate but also has the grit in it. it could be king if it were multitimbral. with Peak and Virus ti2, i can say with confidence that I dont care very much about all those analog gears anymore.
My ideal synth is a Virus HydraPeak... the sound engine engine from the Peak/Summit, at least 4 timbres (but ideally 8 or more), a mixer, the assignable performance knobs from the Hydra, and probably an additional effects unit for global effects. The UI could be based on the Peak or the Hydra; both are good. Or I suppose I could finally switch to a DAW, and multitrack a Peak. Would be cheaper and more practical. But it sure would be nice to have a whole table of Peaks in one convenient box.
I've done a Peak review and a patch deep dive on my channel and my thoughts are, the Peak is an absolutely fantastic synth. It's so much value for its price.
Thank you Jeremy for starting with the most pressing questions; I would have gone mad sitting through this whole thing without understanding how Foxhunt actually implement the PEAK into his music. I have to experiment with this somehow. However, one of the reasons why I tend to acquire new gear is not so much that my current setup cannot produce the sounds I want. Rather, I often feel very uninspired when clicking around in a software synthesizer, which in turn often just tends to lead to me giving up, switching to a more fun activity like watching Red Means Recording on UA-cam :P So, I think I'll have to try just recoding my PEAK right away.
I like messing around with synths and know a decent amount about them but so much of this just zoomed past me. It's like, you know grimbos? They're like sombars but a little banchier
Novation had better quit beating around the bush and add MPE to the Peak, else I'm buying a Hydra... I don't want to do that, because I really want a Peak, but I will if I have to. Cheers!
I remember answering a poll that came from Novation a couple of months ago. MPE was one of the topics they asked a bit about, I believe, so it should be on their radar at least. Although I really haven't looked into the matter myself (I'll postpone all this until I get my Osmose from Expressive).
buy a novation peak
Foxhunt I mean, obviously. 😊
Got mine at launch!
Had mine for a couple years now. What a fun powerful machine.
Send Pics Of Peak
Got mine just a couple months ago. Super excited to watch this, thanks Foxhunt

Also, I own a pe-ak as well, so this was great to see in use. :)

MylarMelodies... this is your fault.
DAMNIT MYLAR
Foxhunt is a super talented creator ! I'm glad to see him on this Platform !
holy shit i love his album, i wasnt expecting it but damn its awesome congrats Foxhunt
As a Pe-Ack owner, this was excellent.
I can't say enough good things about this synth. One of the few in my collection that I'll never sell.
Watched this for the second time! I feel like I keep learning more from it! FM + wavetables is on my to-do list.
Great video, Jeremy! Learned a few tricks for my Summit. Bought the album as well!

The Summit (essentially a double peak) is multitimbral.
Also this new video form is great. Very enjoyable and much to gain. THANKS

Great video as usual.. this synthesizer is really growing on me.. gonna have to get one
Problem is, once you get it, you start to peak (pun intended) at the Summit :(
God damn it guys... I want a Peak, but I'm still going to hold out for the twin Peaks.
karuntribs that’s called a summit😂
@@mattnickel5113 That's what they want you to call it ;)
this is really fun, love this format
Awesome video guys

Man, Foxhunt's music is just candy to the ears. Unbelievable!
Amazing format, I need more! 👏👏

Great video Jeremy!
How does Pe-Ack compare with Hydrasynth in terms of sonic pallet? I know about 8 voices and filter diffs, I mean beyond that.
To me, the Hydra sounds very, very digital...That's why I bought the Summit.
I like messing around with synths and know a decent amount about them but so much of this just zoomed past me. It's like, you know grimbos? They're like sombars but a little banchier
I like to moddly my squomble with a loofington. But then again who doesn't right?
YES! I have been extremely looking forward to this video. Unhallowed sounds DOPE AF!
neat

What does he say PEE-AKK insteak of Peak? :-D
It makes this video impossible to watch
Just got RMR preset pack
crispY GROWLSA YEEEEE
innit
Peak or rev2 module?
Harrison Bos both. They are so different in terms of Sonics but they are both incredible
❤️❤️❤️
0:48 thank god😅
My earballs!
Can we get to the bottom of whether the LFOs are analog? I thought they were generated by the FPGAs, but Foxhunt said they're analog.
Lfo's are FPGA, not analog
Novatiiiiiiiioooooon Pee hak
I was about to stop the video until you finally confirmed Pe-ak as a joke.
thats how you say that...

It’s actually pronounced Novation Peak
He sounds like jackfrags
Jeremy: I have a Novaysheeawn Peeyack
