we lost a gift. BUT she was a person before any of it. not just here to meet our music needs and provide for us. just appreciate that she even shared any of this with us and respect her.
She was a person during it and she needed to be shown concern- not just concern of a star facing problems, but the concern of and for another human being. People stopped treating her like a human like they do with every other celebrity and she couldn't handle it. She was a person "before" it, but she was also a person during and after everything. People need to stop forgetting that celebrities are people and need to be helped and held to the same standard as everyone else. If we have interventions and prevent people from exhibiting certain behaviors because we fear for their mentality and well-being, then we should help celebrities in need too- even if that means preventing them from hurting themselves. Don't let a "rock star" live a "rock star life" just because they can- they'll end up hurting themselves and people will view it as nothing more than a flower wilting in the sun. People could've and should've done more to help her help herself and it's incredibly wrong and negligent to say "oh we can only look back now in appreciation" rather than allowing people to explore the need to prevent anything like this from happening to another person. The whole point of saying "we lost a gift" is to open the discussion of preventing it from happening again. Do not simply appreciate her, make her the model of what not to do as a society.

Amy Winehouse is proof that an artist has to deliver a great performance no matter what. She drinks but succeeds in blowing the minds of the audience with her talent. So shame on the other artists who keep coming up with lame excuses that they're drunk, high, or tired and so can't or failed to perform well.
Lyrics All I can ever be to you is a darkness that we knew And this regret I got accustomed to Once it was so right When we were at our height Waiting for you in the hotel at night I knew I hadn't met my match But every moment we could snatch I don't know why I got so attached It's my responsibility You don't owe nothing to me But to walk away, I have no capacity He walks away The sun goes down He takes the day, but I'm grown And in your way In this blue shade My tears dry on their own I don't understand Why do I stress the man When there's so many bigger things at hand? We could've never had it all We had to hit a wall So this is inevitable withdrawal Even if I stop wanting you And perspective pushes through I'll be some next man's other woman soon I cannot play my self again I should just be my own best friend Not fuck my self in the head with stupid men He walks away The sun goes down He takes the day, but I'm grown And in your way In this blue shade My tears dry on their own So we are history Your shadow covers me The sky above ablaze He walks away The sun goes down He takes the day, but I'm grown And in your way In this blue shade My tears dry on their own I wish I could sing no regrets And no emotional debt 'Cause as we kissed goodbye, the sun sets So we are history Your shadow covers me The sky above ablaze That only lovers see He walks away The sun goes down He takes the day, but I'm grown And in your way In this blue shade My tears dry on their own Whoa, he walks away The sun goes down He takes the day, but I'm grown And in your way My deep shade My tears dry on their own He walks away The sun goes down He takes the day, but I'm grown And in your way My deep shade My tears dry

the way that last belt just comes pouring out with no effort-ugh😍😍. we miss you amy❤️
Amy Winehouse is proof that an artist has to deliver a great performance no matter what. She drinks but succeeds in blowing the minds of the audience with her talent. So shame on the other artists who keep coming up with lame excuses that they're drunk, high, or tired and so can't or failed to perform well.
Sad. I miss her so much. Even after all these years, I come back to see her live performance.
Lyrics
All I can ever be to you is a darkness that we knew
And this regret I got accustomed to
Once it was so right
When we were at our height
Waiting for you in the hotel at night
I knew I hadn't met my match
But every moment we could snatch
I don't know why I got so attached
It's my responsibility
You don't owe nothing to me
But to walk away, I have no capacity
He walks away
The sun goes down
He takes the day, but I'm grown
And in your way
In this blue shade
My tears dry on their own
I don't understand
Why do I stress the man
When there's so many bigger things at hand?
We could've never had it all
We had to hit a wall
So this is inevitable withdrawal
Even if I stop wanting you
And perspective pushes through
I'll be some next man's other woman soon
I cannot play my self again
I should just be my own best friend
Not fuck my self in the head with stupid men
He walks away
The sun goes down
He takes the day, but I'm grown
And in your way
In this blue shade
My tears dry on their own
So we are history
Your shadow covers me
The sky above ablaze
He walks away
The sun goes down
He takes the day, but I'm grown
And in your way
In this blue shade
My tears dry on their own
I wish I could sing no regrets
And no emotional debt
'Cause as we kissed goodbye, the sun sets
So we are history
Your shadow covers me
The sky above ablaze
That only lovers see
He walks away
The sun goes down
He takes the day, but I'm grown
And in your way
In this blue shade
My tears dry on their own
Whoa, he walks away
The sun goes down
He takes the day, but I'm grown
And in your way
My deep shade
My tears dry on their own
He walks away
The sun goes down
He takes the day, but I'm grown
And in your way
My deep shade
My tears dry
I hope I was able to see her live. Media had given her bad image when I was teenager. For years, I've been hearing her name in the news and I avoided listening to her (never knew her genre or her songs at all). Just last year when I was at my low, discovered her songs and it, for some reason, consoled me. Her voice is so therapeutic to my ears and makes me sleep fast. hehe! I hope Amy's soul is at peace and happy wherever she is.
She was so incredible her talent is unmatched rip Amy we miss you
Such a great talent and a beautiful person
She was an absolute genius, the music flowed through her veins! This is one of the best versions ever. The music industry needs to do better to protect people 💕 all in all though, Amy was a wonderful gal, and we’re all flawed aren’t we. Can’t imagine being in the spotlight like she was
She sings effortlessly.
R.I.P ... beautiful soul
One performer I truly wish I could have seen live. So unique.
Awesome performance
If she was still here with us and healthy she would still be an amazing star. God took her to soon, it truly makes me feel so sad that she is no longer gets to share her talent with the millions that love her
I miss her so much that watching her performances just make me sad
Amy was a pure talent. Every time I listen to her, I feel like I listen at first time. It's not possible not to be admire of her style and voice.
Incredible
A perfect example of a strong woman 🙌🏽
I will never stop loving this woman. Her voice, her talent...everything. The world lost a diamond the day Amy died. Whether she was ‘plastered’ or not, she gave it her all and I’m heartbroken that I’ll never get to see her live or hear a new song, or see her sober and happy. I’ll love her forever and ever ❤️
my favourite general performence of her
Jamais será esquecida. Voz única, personalidade única, estilosa e talentosa! Essa era é e será nossa eterna Amy. 🥰
