- Amy Winehouse performing a Live acoustic version of Love is a Losing Game for album promo on Back to Black. She was so nice, unassuming... just concerned with practising with her guitarist to get the tracks as good as they could be.
It took me five years after her passing, but I am instantly connected with this level of raw emotion. She had more talent in one hair than most people have in a lifetime.
R.I.P. Amy.
Amy Winehouse was the greatest singer/songwriter of our time
that is my opinion too...She was so insanely good that she did not even seem human.
Couldn't have said better. Completely agreed.
socialdef3 I'm the same . I missed out on a true talent.
@@bak-mariterry7386better late than never. People will be discovering and enjoying the out of this world talent of Amy Winehouse for centuries to come ❤
A true artist. Just her voice and a guitar. No gimmick. No useless dancing. No trashy clothes or flashing lights. So rare to see nowadays. Miss you Amy. Thank you for making me feel not so alone.
and a song she wrote on her own
true artists come in many forms - we can appreciate one without having to dismiss the others. amy was rare and precious, but not because she didnt use flashing lights or because she didnt dance...
Couldn’t agree more
le wrong generation vibes
So effortless, raw natural talent. I don’t think she knew how good she was
She really is that fucking good it's makes you sick to listen to anything else afterwards
+Wiener Fritzl of course he is honey
+Wiener Fritzl You are sick..
+SchwarzeneggerAKAgod is that you in your picture? HELLO
+Wiener Fritzl After Bieber I always listen to Miley Cyrus, she's even better
+SchwarzeneggerAKAgod She ruined music for me. I can't find any other artist at this lever nowadays. Only the old school ones and well, Adele.
...Amy feels everything she sings...and she relives all those old heartaches!
Love is a losing game is my favourite.
Incredibly sad and soo soo true. Grieving in a single song....
Amy was made for small venues not stadiums she is incredible in small venues good lord
Tell that to her dad 😢she wanted to back off and just live her life in peace but her dad, GREEEEED wins out
So true, intimate settings, she gave her all, close, clear and real.
Sometimes the larger spaces, lose the closeness, not always but sometimes, it is speacial getting up and doing at that moment it's a truth and we feel it. X
Amy probably wrote this song with a piece of paper, a pen, and her guitar. In her bedroom one night. Wow. And then there is her singing..... WOW WOW. Miss you and thank you for giving us hope that other original artists may break through.
o
+Patty Jeddy (Ladygadget) she was amazingly talented
:) I love her
Patty Jeddy pretty sure it's a old song
It's not an old song, she wrote it.
This particular acoustic set she did is OUTSTANDING. Her tone, control, musicality, and versatility is INSANE. Thanks so much for posting!
She was brought up on real music - jazz, Sinatra, loved Sarah Vaughan, Donnie Hathaway and Ray Charles. You can hear it in her improvisation, and the value of her lyrics. She was gold.
don't forget tony benett
Ariyanna Casillas acdc acdckoncert acdckoncert
Shrimani J. Senay so right what a lose not only to her family but you us her Dan so much more she could of bought this world Rip my little pocket rocket my funky jazz gal
Billy Holliday
Amy always surrounded herself with great musicians (the only kind that could keep up with her singing), but this guitar player was the best. He could fill a room with beautiful chords and not step all over her vocals. That takes major skill and a gentle touch. I wish I knew his name so I could give him proper credit. Anyway, a great duo. Peace.

Thank you Art. Damn I wish she was still here. Peace.
TheMisterMonkeyman gone too soon, so much more to give and her story will be forever young
Excuse me, do any one knows where can I find This complete marvellous presentation ??? 🙏🏼
I have sought to buy or find this beautiful piece of art, and I have not succeeded ...

As a kid me and my oldest sister would listen to Amy... it was our special thing and I always saw my sister in Amy. (My sister) She passed away 3 years ago almost 4 in January. I love you Vivi so much with all my heart, I loved when you would sing rehab to me. You both are so special to me even though you're both gone 💛 I will always come back to this because it's SO SO special to me . When I listen to this I feel them both very close to me and I feel joy.
So sad :( R.I.P
I am so sorry..for you
I know I am kinda randomly asking but does anyone know a good site to watch newly released series online ?
I'm very sorry you lost them both. This song makes me cry on a good day and I have no attachment. What it must do to you. Take care
I can’t get over the raw emotion she put into this performance.
1 hour later still listening can't stop pressing repeat button. This is brilliant
Chana C feel exactly the same
Probably my favorite rendition of this song, gut-wrenchingly good. That voice never ceases to amaze me
Amy Winehouse, wherever you are I just want you to thank you for all the music you create.
you don't know but for many people like me you were more then a rehab, a therapist, your songs were like a Bible to many of us , and dear lord you might not saved yourself but you saved me , in many ways with your songs.
rest in peace great Amy Winehouse you always going to be loved
Bruna Oliveira Amen
one of the most talented musicians of the 21st century. Unique and authentic. Extraordinary
That crowd was blessed.
She is so wholly in the song ( I thought she would cry at a few points), and then when she finishes she flashes that sweet shy smile. RIP, dear artist.
So much power in that voice.
My God, this raw, incredible talent. Her voice echoes straight to my soul. I've never heard such power and emotion like this. Amy was a shooting star, vibrant and beautiful and gone too soon. This woman saves me. RIP Amy.
She didn't get enough credit for her great songwriting, in addition to her beautiful singing.
My very favorite Amy song. Beautiful version too. She’s relaxed here, a wonderful way to remember her.
She wrote these lyrics when she was 22 years old. I can't even grasp how she was able to write something so fucking incredible. Wow. Wow.
I love this version more than the Studio version. 🖤
yesss
Of corse
She was one hell of a singer
Unfortunately we were left in a losing game, but our tears for this wonderful musician will never dry. She is the biggest loss of music this world has ever experienced.
Nobody is aware, how difficult it is to sing acoustically with such accuracy in tuning and having the 3-D hall effect in sound. That is the supreme talent..never met before...
In this day and age of generic sounding pop music it's refreshing to see pure raw musical talent...for all her personal troubles gave her the emotional connection and battle scars needed to really deliver these songs as poignantly as she did...love her or hate her, the lady had talent
Her voice had the ability to touch you in the deepest part of your soul.
Every time I hear sister-woman sing, I eventually find myself thinking how impressive her talent was, as if it were the first time I had ever heard her, as if I didn't remember from the last time I heard her sing.
whenever I'm down...Amy is right there with me...thank you Amy...God bless

We were all blessed with her beautiful voice, this incredible women sang with pure melancholy and it warms and breaks your heart at the same time. If you honestly have anything nasty to say about her death, because she threw away her life just to get high you have no idea what it is like to be addicted to a substance and you have no place talking about it.
no one will ever be able to come close to this soulful music
There will never be another like her. Such rawness & passion. That voice just rips through you. Always thought this would end up on a james bond movie. Thank you Amy for sharing your gift and her family for letting her be true to herself and her craft.
A true Artist such pure raw talent her sound is addictive mezmorizing totaly her own and each time different. A song writer and singer able to improvise her sound at will. Only Amy Winehouse sounds like Amy Winehouse. Just a guitar and what a voice oh what a voice, one of the greatest natural singers of all time.
Careless, singing without any concentration, but at the same time also flawless..that is why she was defined to have an unsurpassed talent.
@@SkitzoBenjamin does his comment trigger u? A comment from 6 years ago that he probably will never read. Congrats
@@calebriggins5628 I meant to make this comment as a reply to a different comment, one about her being “sick”. No, not triggered, just a mistake, and time is irrelevant when it comes to UA-cam comments. I’ll delete it, thanks for pointing out I commented on the wrong thread.
Perfect! I think same as u
i promise she's singing with immense concentration. she's just so good at it that it takes little effort.
Definitely true..
Amy & Whitney were victims but their stars, their passion, their immeasurable talent, fantastic voices, the immensity of their skills will remain in the history of music. It's like this world, this humanity not achieve sustain these human beings whose personal stories beyond his romantic spirits.
This is my favourite song in the whole world and this version is amazing. It's such a haunting song. I hope Amy gets back to her best soon. She's so amazingly talented it would be a tragedy if she weren't able to make more music like this.
This comment is so sad 😢
she's in a better place now
She had a voice of a goddess rip AMY
Amy at her very best. Her gorgeous, unique transitions, phrasing and breathtaking emotional delivery on full display. This and Mercury Prize '07 are my favorite versions of this deep, absolutely poetic piece of songwriting...astonishing performance. Truly miss this extraordinarily talented singer/songwriter...R.I.P. sister AW
Can't listen to her sing without crying.
I'm gettin' a bit misty myself.
Today Amy would have been 32. Gone too soon. RIP.
She was at her B E S T vocally here. I've never heard her sound so pure and so accurate. My God! Whyyyy!:(
Amy in the house in quarantine.
Can you imagine her Instagram content, lockdowns would have given her so much time to write 😔 we lost out on so many great masterpieces that were inside of her just waiting to come out.
she plays with his hair while her voice out a beautiful magic melody .. this was amy a beautiful genious
every time she makes me cry
I cry to this nearly every time I play it but it’s good to cry sometimes it’s a relief
Every performance of this song pales in comparison to this version. This is absolutely perfect!
Man... this song always gets to me, her words and her voice are so powerful, you will always be missed Amy.
Such rare raw effortless talent! .....goosebumps........tears for the loss....
I think of the unimaginable pain her mother must feel when she watches stuff like this......
so much talent!, her voice and song writing skills are second to none, she could sing the same song a hundred times and it would sound different each time, she is truly missed, no one has come along in the last 20 years that had her style and sound RIP AJW
thank you for having existed 🙏🏼❤️
Love her music this is real talent
When words fail to embody any sensation or feeling that this performance embodies or empathised. Every syllabul was from the depths of her soul and energy. Depleting every source of her being to expose her realness and raw existence.... F=£#*&g love you Amy... I will continue to play your music til the day I draw my last breath. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
How many times can yer say what a voice she had,but WHAT A BLOODY VOICE SHE HAD!,and what a loss to us all, your amazing voice will play in my head forever ,your truly missed, R.I.P,AMY GOD BLESS.X
If there's one good thing about all this, it's that we have extensive recorded performances. To think of all the midblowing voices throughout history that must have been loved long before audio and video recorders existed is mindblowing. For all we know, some woman 300 years could sing like this and we will never know. So glad I was born in the same decade as Amy, and there is only a 4 year age gap between myself and her meaning I was of the age to appreciate her whilst she was alive ❤
I've never seen an audience so quiet when an artist performs, literally not even a cough because everyone wants to suck up as much of Amy's beautiful talent as possible. so amazing, I love her and heaven was a little jealous that's why she left so soon.
Probably the most beautiful voice since Piaf, Aretha Franlkin or Etta James.
RIP Amy.
When you hear this and Back to Black you understand her decline. Can you imagine getting up and singing about your most intimate and acute pain night after night while still living it. That must have been torture. I hope she feels love now, she is still missed.
This is the purest way to absorb Amy's energy. Just her, fuxkn beautiful
Rest easy my love. Thank you for everything.
This shows off her true raw talent. A really big loss. This woman was able to bring me to tears.
I kicked a chair across the room when I heard she died ten years ago, because I saw it coming a mile off.
Like most phenomena in music she was essentially murdered for profit.
Here she is the rare creature on full display, the slight madness, the barely contained demons just bubbling beneath the surface, the pure hot honesty, a true artist ‘s stylistic choices being made in milliseconds, subconsciously so, like only the greatest singers can, and the ocean of raw emotion in the huge voice of a child woman who was aware of her brilliance but even more aware of how uneasy it made her feel.
The only thing she did wrong, was she unawarely, and unintentionally spawned a generation of copycats who missed all the above points and just thought that the hiccup style and seemingly bad diction was all they needed.
She never sang a dishonest note.
Beautiful comment, spot on really
I get goosebumps every time I hear her amazing voice. I really love this version... true emotion.
Her best work imo. RIP Amy. I loved you during your short time here on earth. Thank you for giving us these masterpieces.
I’ve commented on this before but it is just amazing it’s so emotional you can feel the pain in her singing it’s so personal. What a massive loss to the world
Why am I just hearing this song for the first time? I love this!!!!!!!!
Me too, I just heard this for the first time recently and love it. What makes Amy Winehouse a true artist is her ability to convey her interpretation and allow us to feel the story of the song. I truly believe she understands the stories she sang.
Aletha CC of course she understood them, she wrote them. geesh!
For you I was a flame
Love is a losing game
Five story fire as you came
Love is a losing game
One I wish I never played
Oh what a mess we made
And now the final frame
Love is a losing game
Played out by the band
Love is a losing hand
More than I could stand
Love is a losing hand
Self professed... profound
Till the chips were down
...know you're a gambling man
Love is a losing hand
Though I battle blind
Love is a fate resigned
Memories mar my mind
Love is a fate resigned
Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
And now the final frame
Love is a losing game
I had not seen this live version. Wow. She is the only singer that still makes me breath deeply and puts tears on my eyes.
Great voice, great guitarist, Flawless.
wow...(speechless) wish we could have experienced more of Amy.
Perfect. No more to add.
agghh what can u say....i lost my love and every time i hear it ...it makes me cry
This music is beautiful and her voice is always perfect
This is my favorite version of this song.
10 years ago, wow that’s crazy. People coming back after all those years.

I am absolutely lost for words, this is precisely why she is the greatest singer in the world to me even though she is no longer with us. Absolutely stunning, her voice control, tone, her riffs literally everything are pitch perfect, I love you with all my heart Amy, Rest in Paradise Princess.
miss u babe
I still listen to this now, does anyone else?
This woman was so pure and honest and true, the voice of an angel and now an angel herself! Beautiful girl
A true artist. People like Amy are one in a million. Addiction is a truly tragic disease

Incredibly melodic. Just listen.
Amy had so much more to offer to the world, she was an amazing singer because she felt every word she sang. I'll admire her for ever because she wrote her songs with her heart, she was too talented to left. I can't listen to it without crying, thanks amy for sharing your love of music with us, your songs are kipping you alive.
Dios... Que belleza esta cancion...
I think this is as raw as it ever gets and she bled all over that mic. Truly a legendary artist. RIPAmy.
When she sings you can tell she sings from her heart and you can feel every word she utters
All of her acoustic performances are always flawless. You can really feel her soul. Her voice and lyrics brings out feelings I didn't know how to verbalize. Someone seriously make her come back
why is my heart breaking
Minor chords specially Dm creates a sad emotions. I’m a songwriter that’s one of the trick.
RIP Amy. Forever in my heart!! 💜
Happy Bday Amy we still miss you.
I miss your music!
Oh Amy..this still hits hard
Beautiful guitar playing and Amy's extraordinarily expressive voice. Each time she performs even her own songs, it's a new, painfully beautiful interpretation. Amy was such a great, unique, incredible artist. 😢😢😢
Amy, I fell in love with you from the moment I saw you, heard you, felt you. When you died, a part of me died with you. I miss you, forever. 😞❤💔
Once in a generation. RIP Amy ❤
