If this farm worked well for you but stopped working after some minutes try this:
Dig out the 3x4 wall behind the beds underneath the hoppers and spawnproof it (with buttons on the floor for example). this will break up the line of sight to the zombie for a second, so the villagers can hop into bed. If they are constantly being scared and can't hop into bed it will stop working after 1 in game day.

alternatively use a flowing water setup to make the zombie bob up and down where they can only see its head at teh apex of the jump and have a few seconds to sleep
I dug out the 3x4 walls and it works but only at night, why?

Another way around letting the villagers sleep is to increase the beds, workstations & villagers to five. Same design, just put two more of the above with the extra beds behind a wall on each side so that two villagers sleep while three run around like fools all night. This way, everyone gets to sleep here & there and the farm never stops.
I tried this but im not sure I did it correctly. can you elaborate?

(if you are having issues with the ig not flowing with the water into the lava) add ice in a 3x3 area before the hoppers so the igs with slide into the lava because sometimes they will stop moving inside the water but if u add ice it will slide them into the lava. Have fun :D
I tried this and it works! I just changed the fence to a trapdoor as mentioned in the comments. I haven't added the 3x3 ice but if in case it starts to not work, I will add it as an alternative solution. The underground iron farm I had before stopped working. I'm glad I went with the crowd and checked this video 🥰🥰
I have some tips
Replace the slabs placing by glass on the upper side and let the zombie free it will work better

I find air farms way to ugly but iron is sooooo much needed this video helped me a lot to have a clear invisible farm under the ground. Even made a double one with hoppers moving it to a central chest, now that I have this Iron farm I 'm wealthy enough to do that. I had to apply something similar to the button fix (didn't find that video when googling underground iron farm fixes) but adding a 2nd slap in the middle of the "bar" of the villager cage seems to have the same effect as digging an additional hole en placing buttons there. Seems the villagers need some rest from their fear from time to time., Big thumbs up from me for making a farm that actually is easy to make in survival.

Instead of a fence you could use a trapdoor. sometimes with the fence the iron golem doesnt want to get through. the trapdoor is holds the lava and is thin enough for the iron golem to get under when u place it on the roof.

this is a very nice design,tho it does not produce much iron as compared to other designs but this farm takes like very less resources compared to others and is very easy to make thanks

Thank you for showing dimensions very clearly and visually. It's often weak side of typical tutorials that you have to recheck it by counting blocks on your screen or something like that because it was shown too quickly and you got confused how much blocks down, up, sideways exactly. You on the other hand - make it perfectly clear.

Hello my guy thanks for this farm i had a big problem with the zombie getting there i ended up dying and the zombie took my diamond armor so he's stacked rn thanks again
In some instances if this doesnt work, maybe there is a cave nearby in your farm I tried it and it spawns golem but the thing is it isnt in the farm but rather in the cave and it wont spawn again until that golen in the cave dies
Probably my favourite iron farm design. It's just so easy and simple. I had a problem where my golems weren't spawning, to fix that, I just made a barrier between the zombie and the villagers just before they were about to go to sleep. Once the villagers were in bed, I let them sleep for about 20 seconds and broke the barrier. Immediately, iron golems started to spawn.
Edit: My method didn't work, it only worked for one day but if you make that zombie space 1 block and put it 1 block deep in a minecart facing sideways, it will keep looking and looking away at the villagers, allowing them to sleep. Villagers only produce golems if they can sleep for at least a few seconds.
This helped so much I've needed so many hoppers

found a golem in an underground lake standing in the dark.... and preventing others from spawning in the farm.... spawnproofed everything arround now it is working. (as I had not enough iron I used one hopper with a water stream - is also working fine... also in another world I used an bubble way - no need to go down to collect the iron anymore.... thanks for the tips.
Can we make multiple of these as combine the? I would like to know what should be the distance between each of them
AFK for an hour and watch the production drop to zero after 20-30 minutes, as the villagers never get the chance to sleep once a Minecraft day - and if they don't sleep for even a few ticks once or more a day, they get to tired to summon golems.
during block the visionby blocks between villagers and zombie and again allow the vision by breaking those blocks i tried it legit
@@mr.moonshot749 Easy cure - use a full block of some sort in place of the trapdoor of the middle 3 "vision blocker" blocks.
This farm works on 1.18. you can rotate the farm and have the hoppers go towards the zombie, thats how mine is. and if you do have the problem of the farm working then after a while, just break the wall behind the beds. 3x4 and 1 deep, place buttons on the ground to prevent other mob spawning.

A great idea but I had problems when the with the iron golems spawning near the zombie and not on top. I just tried and spawn proofed it by putting torches everywhere on the bottom level and it seemed to help. Is there any better way to solve this problem? And what is the cause for this problem? Anyway great video
Hey guys quick tip to help you guys out if it isn't working after 5minutes, all you need to do is make a 3x3 hole wall behind the beds/under hoppers and spawn proof it with buttons on the floor. I just saw a comment like this and it worked just re-commenting it so you see it and can try it.

@@AtifAhmed-yr1fd yes it does, I still have the iron farm on a realm and this still works just to clarify a bit more it’s just one block behind the beds going up to 3 blocks and it works.
The problem us Iplay in a server with my friend I did all of the following things said in the video but iron golem won't spawn should I break 3×3 hole?
@@AtifAhmed-yr1fd I kinda miss-said it but yes break one block behind the beds then dig it up to 3 blocks it should just be a block behind the bed then high enough for the villagers to walk to (3 blocks tall) now I forgot if I used slabs so i would not place slabs then if it doesn’t work I’d use slabs
So I need to break 3 blocks until the hopper
If you will be afk in this farm for a night, you'll get 333 iron blocks in a morning which is 3000 iron ingots and almost 48 stacks.

getting the zombie into its cage was utter hell. it took over half an hour in the process i was hit so much it broke my enchanted diamond pants and also he picked up my diamond axe. this farm better be worth it. haha

i had an issue where my fence gate kept burning because of the lava so i had to open to LAN, turn on cheats, and turn off fire tick, lol. otherwise this is working beautifully, thank you for the easy to follow tutorial!
How to build a xp farm w a spawner?
Hi! This farm was working very well for a few mins and then suddenly stopped working altogether after I tried replacing some of the natural stone with bricks. I also accidentally broke a sign and the lava spilled over (which was an easy fix) but it suddenly won't work anymore. Any ideas on how to fix this?
try blocking the gap with dirt between the villagers and the zombie(do this in night), lets the villagers sleep then remove the dirt. itll sure work ;)

For those wondering which minecraft edition is this farm for, it's Java. Yes, it works on 1.16.5
Edit: Make sure there's no caves nearby and put slabs on path that you used to access the chest
Edit 2: It won't work on bedrock edition (tested on PC)

im playing on purity vanilla and i´ve spawnproved every single cave near by and ive done nearly all steps that you explain in the other video but its just not working properly :( can i improve the farm by adding more villagers ? Or is the server the problem ?
try putting a trapdoor in the middle slab so that it breaks the villagers line of sight enough to where they can sleep for 1 second

Tip: if your farm does not work its because its near to a cave. Try covering the caves so iron golems cant spawn there.

I was just wondering if this farm is tileable.
I think it is I test but they have to be a couple of blocks apart. I would recommend about 15 blocks

For everyone who thinks this doesn't work: since this is underground you will have to mob proof all caves in the surrounding area, i had the same problem, make sure you place carpet/slabs in all caves in a 50 block radius.

Mine stopped spawning golems after the first mc day because the villagers were unable to sleep. A simple fix is to block off the middle in front of the zombie. He will occasionally stand there and break the line of sight allowing the villagers to sleep. Working great for hours afterwards! Where he places the 3 slabs on the ground at 1:38 just build a pillar on the middle slab

I made this and it worked for the first time and the next day I checked it and the iron golem stoped spawning.
I am making this the second time in the same world. The first time I made it everything was fine and the iron golem didn't even spawned once and now I made it again and after some time it just stoped spawning I checked and everything is correct.

@@shreyashshirsat1848 see the fix video (first command of VOltrox) that you need the one with the additional hole in the back and the buttons most likely. if Not I fixed it by adding a slab on top of the middle of the "bar" that keeps the villagers on their bed. give them a place where for a split second they can't see the zombie and all should be fine, with that addition I ran 2 parallel farms all night last night and they both still worked when wakig up.

Put barrels behind villagers so that they can get jobs, also make sure there isn't any cave or any space near the farm, otherwise iron golems would spawn there. There should not be any space available in radius of 8 blocks

Guys make sure you don't do the machine nearby a cave because they're golem well respawn there that happened to me and thx these is the 5 tutorial i have seen your is the only one work others golem spawn outside the machine ❤️❤️😀

Works great, with some tweaks.
1. Replaced the Gate, which burns. With a line of 3 Signs, coming off the side wall. Crouch placing them on top of each other.
2. Added 3 Composters, inset into the rear wall, to give the villagers jobs.
... TIP: Block off their view of the zombie, and wait until they sleep, to just walk in, and add the Composters.
3. Villagers need to get a little sleep at night, so I made it so the zombie is sometimes hidden, by adding 2 Trapdoors into the centre part of the Zombie area.
One in the ceiling, and folded down. The second one on the middle slab, in front of the Zombie, folded up.
This makes the Zombie hidden, when it crosses the centre area, and the villagers can sleep.
Without it, in 1.16.5 Java version. The Iron Golems will stop spawning, until the villagers sleep. They only need a couple of seconds...

I also added stairs to each level, for easy access, along with access to the caves around it.
I adding an extra Hopper, so I could put glass over it, to seal off the Golem killing room.
Along with a big viewing window, looking into the Golem section.
It's now my favourite Iron Farm...

for 1.15 youll need barrels behidn the villagers! take out a 3x3 space, put barrels in the ground, and place some buttons on top of it! (If you want a picture of it, dm me on discord)
