The band is on fire here. Leroi playing the flute with the sax in his hand, Boyd steps in for enough time for him to put the flute down and give us such an emotional solo. Carter and Stephan in their groove, and all Dave can do is stare at each one wondering how he got so lucky to bring all this talent to a show and blow our minds. Talent is beyond anything.
I could listen to this song every single day of my life and never get tired of it !!!!! Wait… Rewind ; reverse… I already do ha ha ha ha… Please enjoy it the same way I do every single day… I’m guilty of playing it three times A day !!!!! Y’all be good now !!!!!!!!! 🤠👆🏻🎶🎶🎶
A true favorite. I cannot express how deeply I miss Leroi. Don't get me wrong; I love Jeff Coffin, but there was something about Leroi that was just so smooth and poetic with every solo. I think this flute solo is one of my favorite pieces of music of all time. Unparalleled.
Sitting in your truck, moonlight pouring in, sharing a 12 pack of beer, watching you play the drums on your steering wheel.... we were both in so much pain back then. We were each other's soothing balm....this music helped. Love you always, my Hector.
Carter is such a fluid and emotional musician. The amount of influence and emotion he conveys through his playing is phenomenal. So much soul dedicated to his art. Definitely the biggest impact on my personal development as a musician and I'm sure for many. Dmb is truly set apart and will always stand in history
Just went to a concert , cuz a friend wanted a companion. Are we allowed to say anything other than "love it" here - like some real opinions? Hope so, cuz I'll name the group, and it is like many others - filled the outdoor stadium and all, the 1975, it was a "show", but as a musician, I'll say that it didn't not display anyone's musical talent. Well, there was one sax solo that I could tell he was good. Beyond that, I really don't know if any of the players actually had talent. There were, some prerecorded tracks and layers upon layers of synthesizer loops, and vocal effects including pitch correct. Anyway, not to bag on 1975, as I said Sold Out crowd and all had a good time. Just saying, in contrast, Dave Matthews and band is a treat of musical talent, song writing, arrangements, and un bastardized production. Rather rare these days, but will be remembered for hundreds of years.
Wow. Such amazing musicianship. This track flies with me, sleeps with me, and shares my sentiment. I find so much comfort in the lyrics, melodies and passion for which it is perfected. Thank you Dave Matthews Band
I've been listening to them for just about 25 yrs now never gets old....kids today missed out some of the best of DMB hits....best performance of this song to date.....hands down.
Omg. I am hovering around 20 and have NEVER heard it live!! Even did back to back at Va beach and Charlottesville thinking he would....NOPE. Its.my unicorn song
My wife and I had a great band play at our Wedding Reception and they asked us if there was a song that we wanted to request and that they will learn whatever we want by the time the reception is. We told them DMB #41 and they learned it and nailed it. Many people thought it was there own song and they told them that it was #41 from DMB. The best moment of the reception bar none.
Amazing. I've always thought what an amazing job it would be to be a wedding singer/band- being a part of, and helping to create so many people's beautiful memories.
I really like that look Dave gives LeRoi around 6:33. This is such a great performance; they're all so locked in with each other and just having a blast creating art.
No doubt. I was thinking the same exact thing just as 6:33 came around and I read your entry. It was very similar to the look Dave gave Tim after his solo on LIOG on Radio City. He has such respect for art and remains extremely humble even though he, in his own right, is as dirty a musician and artist that has ever walked the earth.
This is some of the most beautiful stuff available on the internet. Takes me back to the wonderful time that the 1990's were. Seriously, the end of that last little bit of innocence. Dave should remind everyone how awesome it is to be alive!
a good friend of mine got me hooked on this song, it is the best-ever. all kinds of feelings get released, soulful, feel good, and best jammin song I have ever heard
Come and see I swear by now I'm playing time against my troubles I'm coming slow but speeding Do you wish a dance and while I'm in the front The play on time is won But the difficulty is coming here I will go in this way And find my own way out I won't tell you what to be But I'm coming to much more Me All at once the ghosts come back Reeling in you now What if they came down crushing Remember when I used to play For all of the loneliness that nobody Notices now I'm begging slow I'm coming here Only waiting I wanted to stay I wanted to play, I wanted to love you I'm only this far And only tomorrow leads my way I'm coming waltzing back and moving into your head Please, I wouldn't pass this by I wouldn't take any more than What sort of man goes by I will bring water Why won't you ever be glad It melts into wonder I came in praying for you Why won't you run In the rain and play Let the tears splash all over you
#41 is easily my favorite DMB song among many, many favorites......just can't wait until we can all hear them live in person safely again.....so many great family memories tied to this band and their music. My wife and I raised 3 children on this music and their in their late 20's and early 30's now, so many great memories tied to DMB concerts. Just seeing videos like this brings all those memories rolling back as I sit here socially distanced from the ones I love so much. DMB thank you for the lifetime of great moments, and to those who share these videos, thank you for the memories your kindness affords!
This Is ☝🏾 Of #Best #Live #Songs 4 #Beautiful #music Anyone Will Ever 👂🏽 Miss You 😘 Leroi Your #Jam Solos Will Always Be Missed May You #RIP But You Will NEVER Be #Forgotten Only #Remembered As An 😉 🎷 Player; So #Beautiful Your Style! 🌸
LOVE Dave and Leroi. Great musicians! Absolutely love the violin. The flute and all. Perfect. It all comes to together at the right moment. I am from New Orleans and often listen to sax and serious jazz players . Good music all the way around. Love it!
My favorite live version of one of my favorite DMB songs. It soothes my souls and my soul needs soothing in these horrible times. Dave never fails to make me feel better.
Taken back to the first time hearing this in my room to my now deep root of a young adult heart and finding a space for peaceful loving wreck-less abandon unraveled.
Love this, music touches the soul. The horn section along with the violene hit a whole new nerve. Please remember me when I'm gone...God loves you, so do I.
The studio version of 41 on the Crash CD was destroyed by a completely different guitar riff played on the electric guitar I that i believe Tim is playing not Dave. A perfect example of producers insisting more electric guitar in order to commercialize the music. Hats off to Dave for going against the grain and lamestream showing us how the real version as heard here on the accustic playing a riff that is just SOO DAVE Matthews.
Every time I hear this song, I am stopped dead in my tracks and can't focus on anything other than the music. Before I die, my adult make-a-wish would be to play the drums live on this song with Carter giving me a 'atta boy' thumbs up. Goosebumps, awe, happy and sad (not a b flat or minor chords either) all the way. Thanks DMB for moving us all.
Forever my favorite band live...I've only seen them twice but if I could just run into Dave one time on his bicycle.....I'd be cool, I promise. I'd just shake his hand and say, "Great music, Dave. Keep it up" ....Later.....tears.....hot mess.
If I could resurrect some people, LeRoi Moore would definitely be one of them. His playing was wondrous as it was beautiful. DMB is still my favorite band; but having him back would make it all the better.
I've listened to this version a million times and it never gets old.
Josh Mayorga 9/11 somewhere in Jersey '99.
Josh Mayorga me too
Me 2
Ikr
I just play it and play it again, great music.
The band is on fire here. Leroi playing the flute with the sax in his hand, Boyd steps in for enough time for him to put the flute down and give us such an emotional solo. Sooo Awesome!!!
Everything you said 💯
Yes very true there I seen them in concert a few times back in the 90s and it was awesome
Never gets old. Best version of #41 ever.

Best version of #41 ever!! Favorite song!!
Took our boys to all the concerts starting 20 yrs ago. Still do. They are in their early 30’s!
LeRoi, one of the best ever to live. No one will ever be able to fill his shoes. Forever missed
Sitting in your truck, moonlight pouring in, sharing a 12 pack of beer, watching you play the drums on your steering wheel.... we were both in so much pain back then. We were each other's soothing balm....this music helped. Love you always, my Hector.
like? no button.
Hector never love you. I do.
...thank you for the beautiful picture... and feeling!
RIP LeRoi Moore You played that flute in this video and that tenor sax this was your time
No matter how many times I watch this it will brings me those chills ya know... Smfh, crazy DM, just crazy
Carter is such a fluid and emotional musician. The amount of influence and emotion he conveys through his playing is phenomenal. So much soul dedicated to his art. Definitely the biggest impact on my personal development as a musician and I'm sure for many. Dmb is truly set apart and will always stand in history
Leroi Was a beast on the wind instruments. Together they were magical. RIP
100%

Wow. Such amazing musicianship. This track flies with me, sleeps with me, and shares my sentiment. I find so much comfort in the lyrics, melodies and passion for which it is perfected. Thank you Dave Matthews Band
Very very much so....well said
what a jam... play this at my funeral...
at mine too
Same
I requested this song to be played at my funeral 18 years ago
God Bless you Leroi. Hope you realize how much musical joy you have brought to the world.
Rest in peace.
Goosebumps. Every damn time. Never gets old
2 years later.. Still not old
You are so damn right. I know they've seen some changes, but i know they'll be just as great!
Dave would not have it any other way!!
May 19' oak mtn
goosebumps = demons
Damn...that was just TOO perfect!!!! Now that is the epitome of class, skill, heart and soul!!!!
My favourite DMB song and my favourite recording of it. Absolutely never get bored of listening to this.
It feels like there is an entire universe living within this song.
The most beautiful DMB song ever...Love it!
I've been listening to them for just about 25 yrs now never gets old....kids today missed out some of the best of DMB hits....best performance of this song to date.....hands down.
Sax's solo is unforgettable! So much groove and easiness! Leroi boolin #RIP
Omg. I am hovering around 20 and have NEVER heard it live!! Even did back to back at Va beach and Charlottesville thinking he would....NOPE. Its.my unicorn song
My favorite version. Gosh, I get so emotional listening to this. Just absolutely beautiful...beautiful like this should be playing in heaven.
So much soul. This song just puts me into some kind of trance every single time.
Gerald Gaerlan same!
This is my favorite version of #41 ever
this performance is sheer perfection, I love it . you could feel their passion and rarely can you find a band that exudes such spirit in their playing

Amazing. I've always thought what an amazing job it would be to be a wedding singer/band- being a part of, and helping to create so many people's beautiful memories.
Every time I get heartbroken I come back to this song. If only I could sing my heart out to others the way he does.
@@seanmccaffrey897 Fuck yeah dude! This is so beautiful
you would think that after seeing DMB
67 times I would be a little numb to the power of this song and this band - but nope - goosebumps watching this.
forever
Couldn't agree more! This song time warps me back to 95-96 and it's like time has been frozen and life's troubles have evaporated ! Just numb
This is some of the most beautiful stuff available on the internet. Takes me back to the wonderful time that the 1990's were. Seriously, the end of that last little bit of innocence. Dave should remind everyone how awesome it is to be alive!
Man these guys can seriously, seriously jam!!! Natural talent at its finest!!!
a good friend of mine got me hooked on this song, it is the best-ever. all kinds of feelings get released, soulful, feel good, and best jammin song I have ever heard
My favorite version of this song! It makes my soul dance...my heart full.
Dear Lord this was so long ago and Dave looks so young. His music never gets old.
I would seriously give ANYTHING to have been at this show!
Amazing version of the song. .. just BEAUTIFUL!!!
this is what happens when perfection comes together and jams out.
Come and see
I swear by now I'm playing time against my troubles
I'm coming slow but speeding
Do you wish a dance and while I'm in the front
The play on time is won
But the difficulty is coming here
I will go in this way
And find my own way out
I won't tell you what to be
But I'm coming to much more
Me
All at once the ghosts come back
Reeling in you now
What if they came down crushing
Remember when I used to play
For all of the loneliness that nobody
Notices now
I'm begging slow I'm coming here
Only waiting I wanted to stay
I wanted to play,
I wanted to love you
I'm only this far
And only tomorrow leads my way
I'm coming waltzing back and moving into your head
Please, I wouldn't pass this by
I wouldn't take any more than
What sort of man goes by
I will bring water
Why won't you ever be glad
It melts into wonder
I came in praying for you
Why won't you run
In the rain and play
Let the tears splash all over you
What does all of this mean??
Still listening in 2019...never gets old
Leroi's jam on this video is just out of bounds amazing. What unparalleled talent he had!
#41 is easily my favorite DMB song among many, many favorites......just can't wait until we can all hear them live in person safely again.....so many great family memories tied to this band and their music. First time I`ve heard DMB.
We need more bands like this.
Damn this is real music with real talented musicians.
LOVE Dave and Leroi. Great musicians! Absolutely love the violin. The flute and all. Perfect. It all comes to together at the right moment. I am from New Orleans and often listen to sax and serious jazz players . Good music all the way around. Love it!
I’ve been looking for this version for YEARS!!! Thank you!!
Missing LeRoi...what a loss for us all
I love Dave Matthews, he's a true poet
My favorite live version of one of my favorite DMB songs. It soothes my souls and my soul needs soothing in these horrible times. Dave never fails to make me feel better.
My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE DMB song, of ALL TIME. I've see him in concert over 30 times and this is the ONE song I have yet to hear live.
My God....thats horrible!!!! I hope you get to see it....it was emotional for me the first time I saw it.
What a bummer. Sorry to hear that Lori and I hope you get to see it also.
Lori Branch How do you see DMB that many times and not hear #41? Using the bathroom at just the right time every concert? ;-)
Can't get tired with this song! Great jam
What a perfect mix of instruments!!!! Fantastic!!!
The most sensuous band I've ever heard.....Love you guys!
Always feels like the first time to my ears 💞💕💞💕
So freaking bad ass. Yeah, I have listen some off the nearly 1 million plays of this jam. Finest performance material. Thanks for posting, Roman!
My FAVORITE ALL TIME SONG!!! Love the way EVERYONE in the band is TOTALLY into it, JUST JAMMING!!!!
Taken back to the first time hearing this in my room to my now deep root of a young adult heart and finding a space for peaceful loving wreck-less abandon unraveled.
wouldn't it be great if every single song you hear gave you the feeling as this one ?
i would be numb

So little effort, yet SO MUCH GOODNESS! This is just some of the best stuff ever. #RipROI
I Love David Matthews Band! One of the best songs
Love this, music touches the soul. The horn section along with the violene hit a whole new nerve. Please remember me when I'm gone...God loves you, so do I.

One of my favorite sax solos.
This is the best version I've ever heard...
Joshua Freiwald
The entire album is really well done. One of my favourite live sets.
The studio version of 41 on the Crash CD was destroyed by a completely different guitar riff played on the electric guitar I that i believe Tim is playing not Dave. +Brent Danzig My favorite for sure. Intense.
+Brent Danzig One of their best for sure, but I think my favorite overall from them is Grey Street.

Trigger Happy Guns hkgf
I'll have to take Seek Up as my favorite Dave song.
Trigger Happy I agree with you 100%
Trigger Happy
Show!
Two step!
I don't know why but that guitar outro from Dave at 8:57 made me reevaluate my life in a lonely yet positive way.
My favorite DMB song and LeRoi’s sax calms my nerves and my nerves are fried.
We were all so young back then.
Thank you for the wonderful music Leroi...RIP .
This is literally the best live version of this song bar none. Boyd and Leroi's solo's stole the show!
Same here, always tearing up on this song. An emotional roller-coaster. Love it. All is well.
We all lost the day Leroi left to a better place .. but no one lost more then the band . He was the rhythm and soul
What pure unadulterated talent , stupendous. Never saw this before Ty FB
Greatest song ever in my opinion.
Mixed Feeling Jam.
Up, down and all around like a bittersweet frozen moment in time.
Great sound. 💗
The epitome of musicianship is unbelievable in this band all around
Can’t believe LeRoi will be gone 11 years this August. Absolute legend.
same here...terrible loss
DMB was the first concert I ever went to, sophomore year in high school. American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX. A night I'll never forget.
Long live Roi! I have never heard such a GREAT song in my life!
Thanks for sharing, Roman!! This is incredible!!
The best song ever!
listening in 2020---still soooo good...sooo soothing!!
If I could resurrect some people, LeRoi Moore would definitely be one of them. His playing was wondrous as it was beautiful. DMB is still my favorite band; but having him back would make it all the better.
