Maybe next Friday… before this, looks difficult to me… Since it it sketchy, quite high, is is better to have a dry environment and no wind. So normally next Friday.
Remember it wasn't too long ago that you were a guy shoveling muck out of the basement of ruins. He would be very jealous of the guy sitting on top of his castle saying, "Gosh, it's windy up here!!"
Thanks for the update, Dan. Even though you didn't get done what you wanted, some progress was still made, so there's that. Also, it's very common for roofers to call off a job for a day because of unfavourable weather, especially high winds, so don't let that bug you. Well done! Safety first.
J'étais inquiet de ce que les spécialistes de la sécurité appellent la fascination de l'objectif, et je suis rassuré de vous voir conscients des priorités, malgré la passion, et la beauté de vos réalisations en cours. Bravo et merci.
What an unusual treat for a Saturday! Shame about the wind, but exciting to have everything prep’d and ready to rock as soon as you hit a break in the weather.
Can't believe how far you have come in 3 years plus. It's so wonderful to see the roof almost done. To your credit and your helpers not one accident or injury that we know of . Super proud of all of you.
I had to grab the arms of my chair so I wouldn't fall of and my stomach lurched! I can't believe how high up they are. I'm still dizzy and the video's been over for 5 minutes. LOL
Nick….” Guys I can’t light my ciggy …it’s too windy”, Dan “ ok I’m calling it we can’t do the roof if Nick can’t light his cigs”. Brian” oh goody, that means we can play with the puppies” 😂😂 I know you really wanted to get the roof done but safety has to always come first, hopefully it’s only a day or two and you’ll be back up there. I’m sure there’s other jobs to be done or even just a day or two off with the boys.
Imagine being lucky enough to discover this channel 5 years from now when it’s all complete and watching each episode back to back. 👍 keep up the good work. Great channel 👌
Aww... Rather safe than sorry, yes? For you guys personally, AND the chateau, I reckon! No point in putting yourselves and everything you've done at risk. Take a step back and return soon as. Be inspired, be blessed..
Right descision! Stay safe, stay awesome! Still appreciate the update, thanks for enlightening my day once more, especially since its the first day of my own working vacation and I have to do stuff on my house too! 😅👍

Boy , am I glad you called that off !!! You can tell even from the floor of that terrate that it was way to windy and then to get above the roof line of the scaffolding and see just how windy it really was , gave me butterflies and I'm not even there ! Glad you called that off , you need a day with NO wind or rain , dry preferably !
I really admire your determination to push the project forward. The fact that you won't do it at any price is what has set the project apart from the start. Even if it seems quite chaotic at times, especially in the beginning. Safety comes first. Keep up the good work!
so much for the days of no rain. Those beams you just cut with locking joints remind me of Lincoln Logs which was a building toy for children to build a log cabin. Wow that is a dizzying height and the peak is still to be added. glad you shut this down due to wind.
EDIT AFTER WATCHING WHOLE VIDEO: Thank God you decided to wait!!! LOL I know you are "Danger Dan" and all, but wouldn't it be much safer to wait for the weather to chill out? LOL Wet wood, high winds sounds like a recipe for disaster. Please be careful!!! We desperately want to see you finish and decorate this gorgeous place! 🙂
It's great you got all the prep work done - that will be a real help once the weather decides to cooperate! In the meantime, well done making the tough decision to not push through today; kudos to all, and will look forward to next week. :)
What an amazing view! Its exhilerating to see, vicariously through your camera. It never ceases to amaze me just how much work has gone into the chateau so far. So much sooner than later, sitting Curled up on a couch by a crackling fire, youll think back on the work done, and take great satisfaction in a job so very well done!
Good morning team❤ Good call there guys… Can’t risk getting blown off .. Safety is Number One priority up there in the turret… Don’t forget your harnesses lads.. Isn’t Brian away ?? Does this mean Calvin’s popping over 🤣🙌😁 Have a safe weekend.. See you on my Tuesday ❤
safety must always come first. You and the boys have made remarkable progress in so short a time. A marvel when one thinks that usually heavy cranes and other mechanical equipment would be use in the re-building. The wind and rain are troublesome but you are getting there. Best wishes to you all.
Respect the wind, Dan! Agree with your call!!! We just got over hours of Helene's nasty winds in Indiana. Hate NorEasters. The winds were fierce and we lost power to be expected. Admire our electrical repair teams on the poles fixing the lines. The winds were so stout it snapped a pole in half! Please take care! Stay safe!
Well done Dan. I fully support the delay. Nothing is more important than the lives of the 3 musketeers ❤️
😊😊
I just have to look where Dan had started and where he is now. It is very interesting.
Yes it’s the best decision ❤ be safe

I believe all your viewers would agree, "Safety above all else"❤
Better safe than sorry. Gosh it’s windy.

During a car pursuit by the police, it’s called “red mist”. They must call off the pursuit if the driver displays signs of red mist.
Beautifully said!
Very wise warnings.
In mountain climbing it's called "summit fever".
Just remember you have two sons, safety first always😊
I love how Nick follows all securityrules!
You mean the same guy who tests wind by whether he can light a cancer stick or not as a safety thing 😂
@@paulb1951 As long as he keeps his beard its safe.

You three are fearless but sense prevails. Thank goodness. Take great care. 😊😊😊

DAN, safety is paramount. We all love what you are doing and eager for progress, but your safety and the boys is the most important thing.
Bloody hell!!!!!!…. That’s a height ….!!
Stay safe boys ❤
As a commercial roofer, you made the correct decision. Y'all take care...

Thanks for letting us know. Good luck next week with the weather.
You made the best call, especially that high up and exposed. Stay safe.
Always listen to the safety supervisor in your gut.

You guys are more important to us than the chateau! Good call! ❤
Great call. Safety first... but awesome to see Nick and Brian playing king of the castle 😂
Bless you three amazing hard working guys. Always consider your safety as you are very precious and the emerging revamped château needs you!
I know you have managed all this time without a crane but I really hope you can swing a crane for the home stretch.
Call in the chopper 😅
The Cost for a crane hire in France is stupid expensive many thousands of €
For everyone’s safety 💕🙏
@@gaelenecole4053 Why is that so expensive?
Is it because of the infamous french bureaucracy?
