The fact that blowing up a jet can launch a missile is such a cool detail.
Rockets/missiles are touchy AF. I know no less than 3 people who have seen them start up for the smallest things.
US Air Force air to air missile fired from a wing mount because of a static charge on someone's clothes. Missed a line of interceptors, a fuel truck and an apt complex before landing in the desert.
US Air Force cruise missile motor fired when it was dropped a couple feet off a forklift. Went through the hangar wall.
US Army Zuni rocket fired from the weapon mount on a chopper from static electricity. This one hit the door gunner in the back as he was loading the chopper.
To close for the warhead to arm. It still killed him though. A friend of mine was supposed to be that guy but he was grounded for too much combat air time.

@@depringles9636 just like a stray bullet, it's a bullet/or missle that hits you while you weren't even the target.
@@depringles9636 If a bullet/missile is fired, misses the intended target, past the point of the miss , it becomes a stray bullet/missile. Then it continues on and happens to hit whatever is in front of it and may hit someone which is then called getting hit by a stray bullet/missile.
This was what arma was intented for, platoon sized pvp skirmishes of any types. This is where this game shines the brightest
I wouldn't say it shines the brightest here, this was 16v4(?) A platoon is like 50v50, I've never really seen it go well with anything above Squad v Squad

next time use actual spetsnaz tactic, when seting up multiple explosives
plan your route ahead + estaminate how much exact time it will take you from one obj to next one. note how much left time for each explosives to go off
set the timers so they will start going off opposite direction than you are travaleing, if you are going a -> b ->c ->d -> e -> f make it so the d explode as you are on f, then goes c then goes b then guess where they will try to find you ;)

check the time as u plant each one...whatever the time is on the first bomb you set that time...all go off at once...or in close succession...

yup it was an ammunition cookoff, one of the rockets from the rocket pods ignited and launched but I think stray bullets are what hit drewski.
4T3hM4kr0n! One of the mods used, ACE, has options for the cook-off, and it also includes fragmentation. So either one of the rockets, or cannon rounds exploded, and the fragmentation is what hurt him.
The explosion ignited one of the rockets, its a cool detail

I was thinking they should’ve set the second one to blow before the first one, so that the enemy would get a reversed sense of direction to which way they were headed.

One of the simplest things I learned was if you can see an explosion it can see you. Meaning if you can see it, stuff in it can probably make it to your face
you can "tactically walk" with the gun with pressing c.. so you can aim with the laser instead of scoping in every time

This is the first I've heard of Arma. I love this concept though. The attention to detail is awesome. The only thing that I think could be better is if it were around 4v30 with no respawns.
