Kermit's Treetop Rescue

Kermit is an 8 month old kitten who was just adopted last week. Her family went on vacation and the first time the cat sitter came over, Kermit darted outside and then was chased up a tree by one of the families outdoor dogs.
Kermit was showing signs of being a jumper as I started the rescue. She went all the way out the end of the branch as I set my climbing line and she was making scared/angry meows as I got closer to her. Then, as I was at about level with her she emptied her bladder. Fortunately none of my gear and no one on the ground got peed on.
Since cats like to dig and bury their waste, they will often hold their pee as long as they can when they are stuck in a tree. Apparently that was making Kermit miserable, because as soon as she emptied her bladder her meows changed to happy meows and she walked from the end of the limb right to me and didn't complain one bit about going into the glove bag.
