Loki's Treetop Rescue

- Loki had been stuck in a few tree tops for 5 days. He was a skittish cat and everytime that a rescuer would get close to him he would climb higher, or jump to another tree, or in some other way evade all attempts to get him down.
When I attempted this rescue it was 99 degrees outside. Loki had just survived being sprayed by a fire hose by some well-meaning fire fighters. After that ordeal his family couldn't locate Loki in the tree, but after a few minutes of searching they found him in the fork at the top of the tree. At first they were unsure whether he was alive.
Apparently though, he still had some feist left in him becuase as I climbed up to him he climbed literally as high as he could in the tree to get away from me. Loki left me with very few options, but I was able to safely use a snare pole to get him off the limb he was draped over and back into the hands of his adoring family.
That was at the tree tops, scary. I love my long grab pole for the time like this that I have to lift the cat. Great rescue.
Nice video, you have way more patience than I do. Do you mind me asking how much you charge for cat rescues? I have been think of offering that service.
I don't charge but I accept donations and most people donate as they are able.
how do you like that chicane? can you easily transfer from SRT to DRT?
The Chicane and ZZ are my preferred climbing system. I rarely switch to MRS except when using my lanyard.
