A tip that has helped me battle the morning anxiety is making a to-do list the night before for the next day. Having a plan and a schedule and reminders of little things I need to do has helped tremendously. Helps me shut my mind down for better sleep, too.

Wow I'm so happy I found this video. I struggle with OCD and my mornings are tough while my nights are more relaxing. Sometimes when people talk about their anxiety I think "but they can't relate to my intrusive thoughts." But it's nice to have people to relate to, so thank you. :)

One thing that has been life changing for my anxiety is magnesium. I use to get terrible panic attacks and social anxiety to the point of me having to go to the hospital thinking I was having a heart attack several times. I now take magnesium daily and feel great! It is truly a game changer. I hate taking nasty meds but did have to take ativan for my panic attacks. Magnesium gives me the exact same result but is 100% natural.

I take 2 in the morning with food which are 250mgs each. The pills are vegan and cruelty free. Seriously life changing!

I have night anxiety. Going to sleep at night because I worry about the next day or I overthink about things I could have done different during the day.
Sometimes it takes me forever to fall asleep, I have to be literally emotional and super exhausted in order to pass out. Sometimes I force myself to stay up even thought I’m exhausted but lately I’ve been going to bed earlier instead of telling myself I’m not tired. Staying up with it makes me even more grumpy and the I think about doing things I know I will regret.

For someone who does suffer from anxiety I watched this video for helpful tips. I was sad to see a long advertisement for bedding in it, and felt like I was tricked into watching an ad. So I stopped watching the video at about 6 minutes in. I understand paid promotions are important for your income, and there's no shame in that. I understand you might include one in a video like this. I just wish it was either a quick mention of product rather than such a long ad. Or either at the end of the video. Or even just for an anxiety tips and how to reduce video .... maybe omit the ad this time and know it's a sensitive subject. I know you meant no harm and you're a fantastic content creator I just couldn't finish watching this one. Thank you for everything else you do

I too dislike breathing 😅 I found the 4 7 8 breathing helps me the most. And when I breathe out, I blow like a candle so the exhale lasts longer (if that makes sense). I find that I naturally want to breathe in and out quickly, and this method helps me slow down. Took me forever to find a breathing exercise that actually helps.

I highly suggest seeking spiritual cleansing and prayer. Not trying to sound preachy or make you uncomfortable, just speaking from experience. I recently rekindled my relationship with God and so much has been revealed to me through this journey. Anxiety doesn't just up and go away, but I learned the true source of "I don't know why I'm anxious" feeling, when there are no external or logical factors.

This resonates with me so much. The odd thing is, I’m so much better in the mornings now (I am on medication). Before though, I struggled.
I am dealing with horrible OCD and intrustive thinking right now. How did you over come this? I HAVE noticed a HUGE difference in my thinking when I eat right, but I’m someone who can’t eat a lot of veggies due to not digesting them well. Like I could never drink a green drink because it would make me nauseous. I try to drink more water and I have found that to be very helpful. I am in perimenopause and that has really been hard on me, but I am much better than before.
Thank you for this video and I love your phone case! Is it from Amazon?

I'm in perimenopause too. It was horrible!!! Morning anxiety is cortisol . It's suppose to raise in the A.M. it's our awakening "hormone" and as she says ..stress hormones when u wake up Spike.
I watch "Brad Yates Tapping" every a.m as soon as I wake up. I do tapping with him for 10mins and it helps a TON. His anxiety video helps and the fear and worry video. Highly suggest you do this!!! It's a good sent.
Eat well, if u can't eat veggies and fruit a lot. Make a smoothie. U don't need to eat bfast asap. Make it later if u like.
Go for a daily walk with headphones. Put music on your cell and walk 30mins.
Stay the hell away from coffee and sugar!! Absolutely a NO NO for nerves.
Lastly I got off my medication and replaced my anxiety meds with natural Ashwaghanda and vit B1. Every night and a.m I take these. Holy crap what a difference in my anxiety!!!! Trust me on these tips. They work for many.:)

Thank you for sharing ideas for coping with OCD. If you have other coping skills for dealing directly with the intrusive, repetitive thoughts or feelings of depression, that would be so deeply appreciated. Have a beautiful day 💖.

To everyone here I have a question:
So, we all know that wearing a constant high bun or ponytail can cause “traction alopecia” or hair-loss, so will putting my hair in a LOOSE claw clip bun to sleep in at night do the same? I know it is a loose bun, but overtime could just the fact that it being in a bun every night cause traction alopecia, cause I’m scared and I just can’t for the life of me sleep in a braid every night anymore (I’ve done it for the past year) and I absolutely hate the kinks it leaves, what should I do, is the loose bun okay because it isn’t tight??

Hi Mainlyn, I personally don’t put my hair in any kind of tie when I sleep in order to let my scalp breathe. If you wanted an alternative to a braid, you can use a bonnet or you can use multiple hair ties down the length of your hair, telephone cord hair ties are less prone to leaving dents.

My anxiety is extremely bad in the morning after my mom's suicide in 2019. Nausea, legs aches, feel like crying, bowel movements. I'm on Lorazepam & Gabapentin for this. Perhaps I should take the Lorazepam at night. I'm lost :(
