Thank you, this really helps open up what can be done with this series of amplifiers. It's a wonderful thing to watch a pro at work and learn from them.

A ten minute lesson from the master on how to tailor your sound that is useful across multiple platforms. . . thanks Brett!

I really like the layout and functionality of the Boss editors. The GT-1, GT-1000, Katana amps, and now the Nextone... all have great editing software.
P.S. I also really like the tones you're dialing in, Brett.

Great editor then again I like simplicity . That is why I keep it simple with my quilter transistor amp and a pedal board.

The versatility of the editor really makes you wish the amp could store a lot more presets than one - great for a studio environment, but a bit limiting for gigs. It's still much more than what you get with a Blues Cube.

I tried this amp 40w against the katana 212 100w combo. I preferred the katana

40 watt stage rattled the windows at my little 100 seat Baptist church after practice one night. Turned it up halfway. It’s got some shoulders. Didn’t want to go further because I didn’t want to damage the speaker.
It will get you into some Joe Walsh funk 49 territory.
Sounds like a fender to me. Weights 29#. I play every Sunday night at church with it. And every 2 weeks for practice. Play it at home.
Has plenty of tone controls to adjust a dog guitar.
Yes, it will keep up with a drummer. Quite well.

Trying to find more info to understand the software better - what is the purpose of the "Liveset" in the Nextone. My understanding is you can set on clean and one lead on the amp itself from the software. So what is the use of the LIveset?

Can you change presets from the GA-FC foot controller with the Artist, or would you have to go for the special and use MIDI?

I'm at a decision stage between a Nextone Artist and pedals and a gt-1000. My question is will I be able to dial up the tones from the Nextone on the gt-1000?? Cheers!

nice tones but ...so many knobs and infinite knob settings...can be confusing on stage! Ahhh ...so confused. Nevertheless...probably my next amp

Yeah; this isn’t designed for you to use the editor on stage. The idea is that you find a sound you like, save the parameters to the amp and use them live. You can make standard tweaks to the EQ, presence, etc. using the amp face. It’s never going to be a gt 1000 or helix, but you can set the boost and tone to do some big things, so you can get a half a dozen variations just from the two channels in a custom patch. With the foot switch it could be workable.

@@Newnodrogbob yeah thats why i got this over the katana, nice and simple on the actual amp but if i wanted i could tweak the sound on the software

Mr. Kingman, I have a NT Stage and the GA-FC coming soon, and I have a question that hasn't been touched upon in any of the vids I've seen so far:
Can the different user patches created using the Editor be assigned to the different channels on the GA-FC?
If not, do I really need the GA-FC?

They should’ve put a harmonic tremolo in there. Disappointed
