    hello, are the 40 w of the nextone stage enough to play with a band?

    • @holyronin
      @holyronin 5 років тому +3

      Hi I have a blues cube artist which is basically identical and found the 40 watt setting around 6 on the master was plenty for the stage use (playing with a 9 piece funk rock band with a miced amp). The full 80 watts is pretty loud but its probably what you need if you are competing with a loud valve amp, there is no PA or you just want lots of clean headroom.

      @@holyronin Hello, if we want to compare Boss nextone stage and Roland blues cube stage,what would you recommend?

      @@sametcemhabiboglu1065 in my opinion both are great at their own thing but unless you are really into the tweed sound I'd say the nextone has the edge as the Bluescube only really does off clean tones while the nextone has more in the way of crunch sounds without using pedals

    I don't think the tube logic in this is the same tube logic that's in the Roland Blues cubes. This doesn't sound great it just sounds okay. The Roland Blues Cube sound incredible.

    This amp is just okay until you get into the software. Then it's amazing. I know this because I own one. The artist (not the stage) would be fine to use with a band. It has much better low end than the Katana 100 mk.ii, which I also own and sounds like a toy compared to the Nextone Artist. Unless you're a high-gain player, then you should get a Katana.

      Looking to buy this on sale...what kinds of things did you do in the editing and what did it improve, specifically? If you don’t mind letting me know...

      Gordon Roberts use a different output section for each channel, I like the 6l6s for clean and el84s for lead, keep the gain moderate and use a pedal model in the boost for drive. The gain can be a little fizzy if driven hard. A little eq shaking helps depending on your guitar(s). It’s strength is as a clean pedal platform, using the lead channel for solos.

      Dear Glad, I m hesitating between the nextone stage and the katana 100mkii. Do u have any experience comparing the tow? I understand u ve a nextone artist but I don't know how much of a difference there is between the stage and artist other than the power. I m mainly a bedroom player into cleans and light over driven sounds. Tks a lot

      @@MrAntpre Watch the intheblues channel's videos on the Nextone and I think you'll find what you are looking for. He uses it exclusively for those tones. I didn't like the katana but I have many friends who play it professionally and swear by it. Those players are all hard rock, though.

    Good demo 👍
    but unfortunately the. Valve simulation is not really coming across on the video and it just sounds like a katana which is not a bad thing but katana amps are a much cheaper option.

      Totally agree. I’ve watched several demos now and I can barely tell any difference if any at all I’m all of them. Seems to be the big feature difference between these and the katanas also so really gives me little reason to spend more instead of just sticking with katana.

      ElDuderino I own a Katana 50 and I’ve got to the point where it’s just not doing it for me. So I recently picked up an Orange 🍊 Micro Dark it has a valve in the preamp section and it sounds fantastic and is ridiculously responsive to the guitar. Plus it will drive a 4x12 cab if you need it to. Good for blues to metal😉

      David C it’s so funny you say that, we must have similar taste somewhat as my only other amp besides my katana 50 is an orange micro dark paired with orange ppc112 cab. I liked it for awhile now but have been getting more bored with its lack of versatility and have lately been playing it louder and not liking the gain sounds as much at louder levels. Currently looking for a new head, I actually have been debating getting a katana 100 head because I’ve like the 50 combo but also think it’s stupid to do if I already have a katana. Was hoping this Nextone would be better in someway and come in a head version but looks like not. The search continues...

      Difference in valves is a minor audible change on a valve amp. Its where you go from there that changes major tone .
