How is the accommodation like? How did u find an apartment? I am currently applying and i've heard that it's hard to find an apartment in the Netherlands.
Hello!!!! Love this video, do you know any page in which I can apply to a scholarship in that same career? I'm from Costa Rica, and my dream is studying in another country. I completed a degree in International Relations, but my true passion is illustration, and accomplish these couple of dreams at the same time would be incredible. I would be really grateful if you can share to me that information. Thanks!
Hello, love your video! Thanks for your thoughts, you helped me a lot. :) I wanted to ask if the Hanze University of Applied Sciences still give Illustration as a course? Because I really could not find it in their website. Thanks! :)
@@winingrace9732 that's a good call. So I'm planning for going to to study Illustration for a master's degree. I wanted to ask if you had any opinions and recommendation for universities that provided that. I also am looking for information for scholarships if any are available. Also, how different is Illustration from graphic design in the Netherlands? Does GD have Illustration as an integrated course? I ask this as in my current college graphic design is not extended to other mediums and options where Illustration would fall into. We're only taught about making our designs for commercial causes. I want to be able to see the kind of portfolios students make as well. But I suppose I'll have to do some digging around on websites and alumni profiles? Aaaaa sorry this seems like a lot but I tried to fit in everything I could think of here. I want to be able to make a good decision if I move countries to continue working on what I love and make a career out of it :')
@@nonisoup9028 Hi! Sorry for taking a while to answer. I have been busy with starting new academic year. 1. So as far as I know, there is no English speaking masters degree for illustration in the Netherlands(not sure but not in WdKA at least). For that I would look into master programs in US, Canada, or UK. 2. This also depends on the school, but from what I heard, Graphic Design in the Netherlands is conceptual and more focused on typography and experiments around it. WdKA is known to be commercial and practical whilst other art schools in NL are more experimental and autonomous. But it would be the best for you to look into each school's website for the curriculum and focus. 3. If you feel like you have no idea how to start on your portfolio, I would definitely recommend you to search for other examples. I find many portfolio examples for different majors and schools on youtube so you should be able to find it! *This is all from my personal experience so there might be wrong or biased information. Take this in mind:) Wish you the best!✨
Thank you! I want to study in the Netherlands for illustrations and live there in the future, so I so hope I get to!
