After using this for a while, I purchased some additional cable attachments which opened up a lot more options and improved the use of this system. ua-cam.com/video/Fzr67_Ys_hs/v-deo.html
Great Video! I appreciated your going over the pieces, but also showing how it worked while you did the exercises. Very comprehensive and the best video I have seen on a cable pulley system so far. Thanks! It was a big help.
2 other things... 1. Ifnyou don't add weight to the squat rack, it will tilt if you go too fast. 2. If you go too fast, and at a slight angle, the wight will swing ba kwards and forwards.
Good points. I racked a barrel to weigh down the rack and kept it from tilting. That did the job. I have since upgraded to the permanent pulley cable system made for this rack and no longer use this generic system, but it worked well for what it was and did the job.
How has it held up to this day, any issues came across? Also, what is the max weight that you’ve tested on it? I want to be assured before making the purchase. Thanks for the honest and thorough reviews!
I’ve continued to use this regularly with no issues, so I’ve been using it for about 7 months now. I currently pretty much use it for tricep extensions, straight arm lat pull downs, and face pulls. 100 lbs or less. I was using it regularly for rows up around 140 lbs. but switched to barbell rows because it was hard to sit down on the floor with all of that counter weight. I bought some additional cable pulley attachments which have been a very nice addition. Review video and product link below. ua-cam.com/video/Fzr67_Ys_hs/v-deo.html amzn.to/3j3KkdY
@@HowtoandReviewsOfficial I appreciate you answering my question. That is awesome it’s still holding up using all that weight! I did watch and liked the Rigers attachment review and will be purchasing those as well. Thanks again sir for answering my question.
Best review on utube good job bro. Wanted to ask 1. What part of the pulley holds the weight? E.g. is the weight held by the straps when u first strap it on the bar? 2. I wanted to buy this for only triceps. Is it stable enough like the gym?
The weight is held by every component in the system. The strap, the eyebolt, the pulley bracket, axle bolt… the weakest link is the one with the lowest load rating. This will be perfect for triceps only. That is definitely where it shines.
Thanks for the thorough review! I ordered this and have been using it for about a week and it works great! Did you also buy another pulley to set up low rows? I want to do that but I'm not sure about the set up as I'm afraid my weight stack is going to be aligned with the low cable so when I drop the weight, it will crush the cable.
I still use it regularly as well and it’s still holding up great with no issues. For seated rows, I used it up to about 140 lbs but was having trouble sitting down with that weight. I switched to barbell bent over rows. I have not implemented a second pulley yet. I would definitely like to for side delts, and thanks to your comment I will do it soon. It would be nice for low seated rows as well, but I agree that I would need to take a closer look at where to mount the pulley vs the weight stack.
In this video, the center of the pulley is 71 inches above the ground. The bar that it’s hanging from his 83 inches above the ground. It’s a very universal system. There’s no specific height requirement You can tailor it to your needs and extend the cable length as needed with chain.
I think you would need two separate setups (loading pin, pulley, and cable). Connecting two separate cables and two pulleys to one loading pin in the center may work, but the geometry is not ideal.

Well explained video. Because of you, I have made a purchase to use inside my semi truck while on the road. Thank you!
Nice! That sounds like a great idea!

Hello, I know this video is old but can you tell me how far is the pulley from the ground? I think my setup is too short

@@HowtoandReviewsOfficial thanks
Any advice on fixing it without a rack? Thanks
It is a nice kit because you can hang it from anything structural. If you are connecting to a wood structure, use lag bolts. Not screws.
@@HowtoandReviewsOfficial Thanks buddy I'll try that 👍
Could you buy 2 pulleys and set it up for chest flys ?

Yes just do single arm
