[ I pray I will see this young lady perform before I die! I have never heard so beautiful a voice] Your post brought tears to my eyes as it so resonates my feelings.. as I to wish to see Jackie before my time is up..I'm 65, I have traveled all over the world ..have listened to all kid of music and when RAP CRAP took over I thought we were doomed and one Day I heard Jackie's first AGT song and I knew God came along and saved us by bringing us angel Jackie..
This piece of music should have been on the CD along with Con Te Partiro. She does the classics so beautifully. I listen to her everyday and never get enough. She has a way of touching one's soul. I will see her live in 6 weeks and it can't come soon enough.
This piece can be found on the bonus edition of the CD, along with 3 other added tracks. Worth looking into! :-)
of all of jackie songs this is the song that makes me emotional. this will always be her song for me. there are no words to describe the the effect it has on me.

I had the great joy of experiencing Jackie live last April in Detroit. This is my favorite song of hers. She has such a beautiful voice. Nobody like her. If you haven't seen Jackie live you need to get to a concert. The experience is surreal.

I have never heard this piece of music done by anyone else and can't imagine anyone doing it better. She pours herself into the music with all her emotion. Beautifully done by the most beautiful and talented child on this earth. If she were mine I would be the proudest dad on the planet. God bless her. She's awesome.
Ditto,littlejack. I'm 69 and I've never heard anything like this child in my entire life and I have been into music of every genre all my life. I'm glad to be alive to hear and witness this before I leave this world.
I feel for you missing the Vegas show. I will see her on June 8, 2012 at the NJ PAC in Newark,NJ. I bought the most expensive seats in the house. I want to be as close to her as I can be to see her face as she feels the music. The only way I'll miss it is if I'm dead.

Jackie Evancho is just so amazing!!! Hearing and seeing her videos never gets old. It is always like hearing her for the first time. This little sensation is a miracle!!
There are certain sounds that move the soul...this song is full of 'em! Stirring. Emotional. No wonder we loved her so.
Even though Jackie was reportedly under the weather for this performance...she was amazing. My wife has a phrase she likes to use to describe someone who has that certain something. She refers to the person as "the complete package". And that's what our little Jackie is...the complete package.
Definitely a child prodigy, a phenomenon.
Even though she studies music....that's not a factor.
She was born with this gift.

Miss Evancho's bell tone voice produces a sound that goes directly to the pleasure center of my brain. It is intoxicating, and then she is so gosh darn easy to look at, stunningly beautiful. I am in awe.!!!!
I've never heard her do that one before but wow! She really nailed it. She keeps on improving and that's the sign of a truly great artist.

I was listening to her in my car today....she's all I listen to (on 3rd CD now as
I wear them OUT!) and she didn't seem to even take a breath & yet my trying to follow that one particular long note left me gasping for breath!
And I can & do swim the length of the pool in the gym on one breath & can
easily match Jan Wenner's record for males on holding a note.
No one is going to match Jackie for a long time, IMHO!
The CD version of this song, in my humble opinion, is truly one of the most beautiful pieces of music EVER recorded...period...end of story...a true benchmark of vocalization, and to do it at 11 years old is truly remarkable.

How I wish, that someone will upload her DWM of Mi Mancherai!........... I wan't to read all the comments when it does. This the most powerfull of all Jackie's song in DWM, you can really tell on her body language. This is the song that showcase Jackie's voice and technicality.
Absolutely outstanding with moments of pure brilliance and surge of passion to top it off. She poured every ounce of emotion into this song.
This rates with Nessun Dorma for sheer raw talent!

@vadinhopsc You are correct. Jackie is not a linguist expert. She does not speak or understand different languages...which is why she is so unique because she sings as if she understood every single word. Jackie recently states that she does not understand every single word in a song but only the general idea and theme. Her emotional connection to the song is innate and that is why I think she is gifted and why she is a prodigy !!

This is my favorite song of hers and has been since I bought the deluxe edition of her CD "Dream with Me". You have to get the deluxe edition to get the four extra songs; and this is one of them. I would really love to see her sing this on the Tonight Show one day. She is just so amazing and wonderful to listen to!!

@tube7562 Right! I don't know if you understand italian, but the lyrics are just desperate. And Jackie sings like if it were her own feelings. Amazing! I repeat: it's the first time in my life that I feel real love for an artist. Even being 50 years older and living more than 10,000 miles away! But I do care about Jackie, as if she was my own daughter. It is strange, but it is like this, and I can't help it. Regards.

@davekanak This girl is the most amazing thing to emerge in so many years. Yes, she personifies BEAUTY in every possible way. Many songs she sings are the best renditions ever.....like 'A Time For Us'....just for one example. You think she may be destined to be the best singer ever???? Certainly looks that way. I love this girl!!!

@My7571 As far as I can recall: 'I'll be Home for Christmas', 'The First Noel', 'Believe, 'Imaginer', 'The Lord's Prayer', 'When You Wish Upon A Star', 'The Prayer' (duet with Chris Dallo), 'Angel', 'All I Ask of You', 'To Believe' ... I'm not sure if I missed a song or two ('A Time for Us') . Perhaps someone who also saw this concert would edit my list? :) Chris Dallo sang, 'O Sole Mio', then his duet with Jackie, and one more which I don't quite remember. :)

Could be any one or more of the following reasons :
1. Schedule conflicts - DF and JE are both busy with their own things.
2. Change of direction - DF and JE may not see eye to eye on what the future should be for Jackie - Not saying that's the case but could be.
3. Cost - DF is not going to be cheap and he isn't going to produce an album for free. That could also be an issue for JE team.
4. Change of music genre - They may not agree on what genre Jackie should sing.
@vadinhopsc Completely understand your feelings. Many feel the same way. Jackie seems to be the perfect daughter or grand-daughter that everyone would want. :). One reason perhaps why most of her fans are adults...or rather adults behaving like kids when it comes to fawning over Jackie !! :)

I like her on recordings better than hearing videos of her live, because you can hear her breathing into the microphone, which shouldn't be that noticeable. .

@davekanak Yes. Pretty Amazing. And equally amazing is the fact that she does not have a vocal teacher and her technique and diction are pretty much self taught. She has no vocal teacher other than her Mom and Yvie who coach her on singing safely. The emotion / passion are her own contrivance. So here we have an 11 year old who is being compared to the best singers across several genres and who has little or no professional training...a true prodigy !

You won't believe what that child can do to an audience. Hang on every note. It's all over in a flash.
Who says she doesn't understand what she's singing ! If she can sing like that and with that much passion without understanding, then God help us when she does understand the lyrics. Look at her expressions and her hand movements....I've rarely ever seen adults perform with such passion and beauty and grace let alone an 11 year old. She is destined for the ages....perhaps the greatest there will ever be...

I love hearing her beautiful voice but whoever insisted on talking constantly while she was singing her little heart out needs to learn some manners!! If little 11 year old Jackie had been the one in the audience I guarantee that she would've shown the courtesy of listening QUIETLY!!

Well Jack I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings but Charlotte has been cancelled. Save your ticket because Mike has said it will be rescheduled. You can go to her site for more information in the Concert Dates forum.

@roddiener Try playing it real loud in your car on your way back home from work (open the sunroof first). Mileage improvement + right of way guaranteed. Jackie, my BMW refuses to jump without your music (it must have something to do with your German-Italian-Ukrainian origin). A vanity plate like JACKIE4U should repel the spell. Anyway, seriously, I agree her CD version of Mi Mancherai goes down in history.
She had pretty much the same schedule in California last year and again this year. The Eastern trio was booked last Nov.-Dec. The official reason is "scheduling conflicts". No one knows what that means and Mike E has not elaborated. If you are correct they will not schedule her concerts like that again until she is much older.
Jack I've seen you post on Jackie's videos a lot. Why aren't you a member on her site??
