Hopefully this isn't a permanent decision on her part, but no one knows at this point.
I was front row center the very first time she ever performed this in public, at a historic church in Houston about two months before this video was made. It was like seeing Hendrix that first time at Monterey; something you never get over.
I was not there live, but I saw all the videos. She was definitely amazing, at that age totally unheard of, even at 18 it would be something special. I think Foster set that up, to prove to PBS that Jackie was ready to carry off a full length concert, on national TV, all by herself, as she did, with incredible performances like this.
16-time Grammy winner, David Foster, produced this concert for PBS Great Performances following his having produced the album "Dream With Me" for Jackie which soon went Gold. It was her second album following her EP, "Oh Holy Night" which sold over a million copies making her the youngest solo artist in US history to go Platinum. Imagine that this brilliant, talented little girl had a Platinum and a Gold album her first 2 years as a professional singer. At 11 she was the youngest solo artist in history to headline her own concert at Lincoln Center. That was the beginning. Since then she had performed another PBS solo concert at age 12, and another at age 14. Today, at 19, she has had 8 consecutive albums hit #1 on the Billboard Classical Chart.
It's no wonder the concert production cost was over 1 million dollars for this concert. For this song alone they had to find competent musicians who played these authentic Chinese and Japanese instruments. I'm guessing they are pretty rare.
@@oahuhawaii2141 Yes, the taiko drummers are regulars at the Japanese pavilion at Epcott. I am not sure where Foster got those beautiful Chinese instruments though, like that single string violin, and that flute. I have certainly never seen anybody else recreate a performance of this song as incredibly great as this one. I dont even think the original movie managed to do it this great.

Imo, considering Jackie's age, having just turned 11, performing in her first live TV PBS concert, the surreal ambiance beauty and quality sound of this David Foster production, and her mesmerizing majestic pure perfect spot on spiritual delivery....Jackie, and this entire amazing classic Dream With Me 18 song concert, should have received multiple Grammies and awards, and go down as one of THE all time greatest DVD albums and performances in history.... :) Thanks Jackie!
Yes, why the heck Jackie and foster never received any awards for the Dream With Me concert, and album, is beyond me. When I saw it on PBS, and called in to pledge, I told them it was one of the best programs I have ever seen on PBS, or anywhere.

love seeing this back on YT... but miss the very end, Jackie's look of innocence and amazement at the crowd reaction, reverting to an 11yr old with no idea of what she just accomplished.
@@iceblu333 Nothing to do with the Inauguration. They were mostly deleted well before that happened. Columbia is owned by Sony and was Jackie's original record label. There are certainly other repercussions though, that have happened to Jackie due to the political hysteria surrounding that Inauguration.

im lost for words here , love this song and always thought it was a adult opera singer who did this - 11 years old she is magic how i mean how . WOOOOOW
Opera singer Kathleen Battle (then 56) sang the original for the movie 'House Of Flying Daggers'. Jackie usually sings this as her lead in song to her concerts because it makes for such a dramatic entrance. To hear her sing this live now at 19 years old is truly an experience.
I did it again! May it was the fact that I drove back home back home from Wabash concert in a snow storm, 350 miles. My first concert for any singer, and I was 68 years young.
Details fade now, but I saw her in Cleveland at 13 yrs old. Concert was over promptly at 9:30 because of her age. The standing ovation lasted over 2 minutes, with pleas for "encore!" She sang another song. Another 2 minute plus ovation, and still no one left. She came out again and thanked the audience...and a third multi -minute ovation.... My daughter heard her for the first time, and spent most of the concert with her jaw in her lap. Jackie was/is as brilliant "live" as on tape....
Yes, Jackie’s voice is the main point of this music, but David’s arraignment with the use of Taiko drums, and the other orchestra instruments makes this most beautiful song ever. Thanks for bringing this video back to u tube👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
An Angel.........I literally cried my eyes out the first time I heard her sing. 😭😭 I thought my heart was going to explode when she sang "Lovers". (The pitch was so high, I felt my heart tremble)
Over ten years ago now I first became aware of Jackie Evancho by accident while searching the TV channels and happened to hit PBS announcing a concert. Since there seemed to be nothing else worth watching, I stuck around. From her first song's, "Like a bolt out of the blue", I was hooked. The pleasure of watching and listening to her performance brought tears. In my, then 76 years no vocalist had ever sung with such perfection and emotion. Jackie became the only performing artist that I have ever followed and so much enjoyed listening to.
I first became aware of her when she did the Christmas special at Disney. I was also searching for something to put on the tv and when she was on the screen and signing I let it stay on that channel, and to this day I'll never forget that she stole the show that day. Just a child who I didn't even know, but that quickly changed!
This is a pure Love song and she was only 12 or 13 ! She has all emotions or may be more... every time i listen to it makes me cry. Her voice is from Heaven

Look up Jackie sings O Mio Babbino Caro Jackie is wearing a flower print dress with a flower in her hair . You'll see what I mean . There are also videos of Jackie praying before each performance, and she is not rolling her eyes when she does it, she has stated it is a good calming and focusing ritual for her. The reason Jackie was rolling her eyes at that one gal, was not because Jackie did not believe in angels, but because it was a trite phrase a condescending adult says to a child, that interrupted the far better answer Jackie was in the process of giving herself.
Jackie loved classical, also classical Christian hymns, because she loved the beauty of classical, because she knew she sang it great, and believed when she was singing, God was inspiring her (which she has also stated in interviews, with non believers who did not have to prompt her for that answer). I doubt if Jackie could sing Pia Jesu, How Great Thou Art, Hallelujah, To Believe, many Christmas songs, The Prayer, and Our Father, as sincerely as she does, even at 18, if she did not believe it. Since then she had performed another PBS solo concert at age 12, and another at age 14. Today, at 19, she has had 8 consecutive albums hit #1 on the Billboard Classical Chart.
Eine 3 Millionen Dollar OneKidShow. Mein bestes Konzert in meinem Leben vor Jahren, gestern, heute und morgen wohl immer noch. 👍💕
Original copy 1st CD prelude to a dream lists at 5 grand on major site ppl
Dream With Me concert on Bluray is the single greatest female vocal feat in history. God blessed JME.
This whole orchestration is absolutely amazing. Magical almost. Who ever thought of this should get a bonus. Jackie is the cherry on the top.
d foster
It's no wonder the concert production cost was over 1 million dollars for this concert. For this song alone they had to find competent musicians who played these authentic Chinese and Japanese instruments. I'm guessing they are pretty rare.
The taiko drummers are from a club in Orlando, and does performances at Disney World.
@@rd1903 The 1M was worth it though, I suspect PBS got 20 times that amount back in pledges, since PBS said it was their biggest pledge response event the whole yr. When I called PBS to pledge after I heard it on TV (not something I do most years), I told them it was the single best event I have ever seen at PBS in my life.
So wahr.
Yes, why the heck Jackie and foster never received any awards for the Dream With Me concert, and album, is beyond me. When I saw it on PBS, and called in to pledge, I told them it was one of the best programs I have ever seen on PBS, or anywhere.
It's too good for normal people
amen
@@mrkroeger Its probably too good for the grammies anyway. Look at the crap they are giving awards to now.
If you will not see who is singing....you will never say its a voice of a little girl. You are a gifted young girl, hand picked by God to be given such an angelic voice .When I listen to your songs .......I feel so relax. There is peace around me. Jackie Im an old woman, almost 77 now.
I'm an old man of 80 and I still love listening to Jackie singing in her youth.
Many people feel this was perfect in every way, and it was! Looking back on it, who on Earth would create such an incredibly dramatic spectacle and then put a 11 year old singer front and center? What 11 year old would even go out on this stage? Jackie Evancho. she KILLED it.
Yes , this a brilliant performance. I love her singing so much and as a person she is really beautiful ! Xxoo Xxxooo Xxxooo
Jackie is the world's best female vocalist!
At any age, any time, or any place!!
🎉😅🎉😅😂😅😂зртњтезруртљрњт😊
Wowwwwwwww, she's so underrated🤦, SHE is a million better than famous singers out there. Best performance ❤️
Best ever ! You fill my heart with beauty Jackie!
her melancholic and dramatic vocal adds more melancholy to the already tragic ambience of the song itself... great rendition!
love seeing this back on YT... but miss the very end, Jackie's look of innocence and amazement at the crowd reaction, reverting to an 11yr old with no idea of what she just accomplished.
That little smile at the end seemed to say "I got em again " probably folks wiping tears away.
Warum hast du die DVD nicht? Das weltweit beste Konzert für einen kleinen Preis.
BigCooter, take a look here: www.dailymotion.com/video/x35zq4c
i like the the music the ton is prfect😍🥰
In my view this version of Lovers is the touchstone against which other great love songs can only begin to compare
i got so sad when they were deleted. So happy to hear her perform on yt 😍
SO GLAD this is back on UA-cam .. simply stunning performance!!!
I am looking for this song for long time. Glad to listen again
@@mindydeng8852 Yeah, youtube did it, took her off.
@@gbogolin why? Because she performed for Donald trump's inauguration? I see that the video is also not by Sony anymore but Columbia records
@@iceblu333 Nothing to do with the Inauguration. They were mostly deleted well before that happened. Columbia is owned by Sony and was Jackie's original record label. Jackie's last record label was under Sony's Masterworks label. Her latest album 'The Debut' is under Jackie's own independent label. There are certainly other repercussions though, that have happened to Jackie due to the political hysteria surrounding that Inauguration.
I've probably seen this epic a hundred times, but each time my jaw drops to the floor. Today March 30, 2020 I'm at it again and my jaw dropped lower than before. I cannot get enough of Jackie. She is just too precious !!
im lost for words here , love this song and always thought it was a adult opera singer who did this - 11 years old she is magic how i mean how .
How the heck did you marry these sounds together so perfectly to stir the emotion of the deepest part of the soul?
I have never forgotten the time you performed at Presadent Trumps inauguration in 2016.The production was just wonderful.
Her old soul emerges with her voice. Gifted in every way!
I am obsessed with this entire arrangement!
....and that unaccompanied finale- as David Foster said, "FEARLESS"!!!
An Angel.........I literally cried my eyes out the first time I heard her sing. 😭😭
I thought my heart was going to explode when she sang "Lovers". (The pitch was so high, I felt my heart tremble)
I’ve seen this so many times, and it still gives me chills. One of the greatest performances of all-time!
Eleven years old, the voice of an angel. “And the children will lead them”
still watcing this BEAUTIFUL performance,in 2022..
It’s so surreal and pure , it can sound like a new religion I m willing to follow.
dory chedid Well She was born almost to the day 2000 years after the death of Christ
😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is a pure Love song and she was only 12 or 13 ! She has all emotions or may be more... every time i listen to it makes me cry. Her voice is from Heaven
She actually had just turned 11 years old a few days prior.
Born 9 April 2000.
This was taped mid-week, a few days after her 11th birthday, April 2011.
still just 10 actually
@@rosairedubrule60 Jackie was still 10 years old when she first performed "Lovers" to open a concert in February, 2011. But this performance was just 3 days after her 11th birthday. Here is a link to the earlier concert, during which Jackie got well derserved Standing Ovations after EVERY song. ua-cam.com/video/8Tn4cvRINFY/v-deo.html
WOW! WOW! On so many levels, WOW! For me, this has to be THE very best vocal from an 11 year old I have ever heard. I bought the DVD and watch it still, but it is so beautiful to see this back on UA-cam.
I have the DVD too and it's a Masterpiece! Worth her weight in Gold and Silver this child! 😍😊🙃😏
after Nessun Dorma? the most powerful interpretation of Jackie, unique and for the ages!
I think I agree with this statement.
First time I’ve heard her, my jaw dropped to the floor! PHENOMENAL
Her best performance, bar none.
I say that about every song Jackie sings.
Jackie...wherever you are...I wish you success in all things ... there may never be another like you...you were beyond magnificent...
We are fortunate to be witnessing a real-life prodigy doing what comes naturally to her "...possessed by the music", she said, an old soul perhaps, wanting to use her voice "to do good in the world"
From a young age Jackie Evancho sings beautifully. Listening to her songs is a spiritual pleasure and a joy of perceiving her voice. Now Jackie Evancho all grown up girl. We wish to Jackie Evancho from Russia well-being in creativity, mutual and long love, strong family and joy of success. Be always joyful in life.
From Russia with Love!

Amazed you can view this in Russia. Love the car crash vids from your country, is everyone drunk over there.
@@gbogolin Gary, Only a fool person can think that in Russia all persons drunk and all drink vodka. Your country's propaganda is idiotic and deceitful. However in our country the propaganda, too, was some time a false. But in Russia, alcoholic beverages drink less than the UK, and less than in Germany and less than in the USA. This is researched and determined by scientists from all around the world. But the propaganda of liars overshadows people's minds with muck. If you are a smart person, then you will understand. We love talented people from all over the world. We do not distribute talented people across countries, because talent has no boundaries.
Jackie starts touring again in Florida, 23 March 2022 in Clearwater, the 25th at the Villages, and the 22nd in Ft Lauderdale. Looks as if she'll release a new album before the tour.
so much power in a single song, masterly executed
Who ever wrote the song. Amazing but to bring it together with Jackie was a 1 in a million. What a masterpiece.

There was a field in my old town
Where we always played hand in hand
The wind was gently touching the grass
We were so young so fearless
Then I dreamt over and over
Of you holding me tight under the stars
I made a promise to my dear Lord
I will love you forever
Time has passed
so much has changed
But the field remains in my heart
Ooh where are you?
I need to tell you
I still love you
So I reach out for you
You fly around me like a butterfly

I have lost counts the number of times I've been watching this AMAZING song by my Fabulous opera singer, the one and only Jackie Evancho
ДОБРЫЙ АНГЕЛ!!!! Будь СЧАСТЛИВА!!!!! С ТОБОЙ СИЛА БАЙКАЛА!!!
only those of us who have seen this, as well as the other videos of "the little girl lioness",before they were deleted and blocked by youtube for a long time, can understand the enormity of Jackie's lyrical talent, something that new Jackie's fans(Pop) , never in their lives could will ever understand, all those that categorized voice of jackie as divine, they never exaggerated in the least!, they only remitted manifest what their eyes and ears could contemplate, and this video is proof of that
You Tube has done a great disservice to Jackie and her fans. There have been other popular sites that were deleted without comment. I do not like people using their positions to censor content of those who offend their prejudices.
@@johnhenthorne1588 I could have been to owners of the Dream With Me DVD and CD rights, including Jackie and he family, who wanted people to buy it, instead of just viewing on utube. But I think they finally realized that most people who see this on utube want to buy the DVD/CD anyway, and the advertising is great to let new fans know how incredibly good of a singer she actually is. Plus there are still several songs on the DVD that are not on utube now, so it is still well worth buying.
The greatest live performance in history!!
As for the entire DWM Concert!
Jackie in this song is so wonderful, as is the whole concert. You should check out Sarah Brightman's concert in St Stephens Cathedral in Vienna performed in 2008. It is also wonderful, especially "Fleurs Du Mal."
One of my favorite performances of all time! So beautiful! Takes all the stress away after a long hard day!
That musical arrangement was insane, so so beautiful to compliment Jackie's stunning vocals. wow wow
Her voice is so beautiful to listen to that I can listen to her all day amazing and wonderful. Makes my heart an soul happy. at eighty years old I have heard hundreds of singers, and she is the best.
The blend of musical cultures in this performance is just gorgeous… Her voice, the western orchestra and the Taiko drums just blend so organically
She has always had a beautiful voice, this song doesn't have enough words in it
I'm delighted to see these videos back on UA-cam. This piece ranks among Jackie's best. After seeing her this year I can honestly say her bell tone and clarity now surpasses anything that has come before. She has no peer. Thank You for the journey thus far Jackie. It's been a true delight. The best is yet to come.
First words out of my wife's mouth after we left the Genesee Theatre April 6th:
"her voice is just so clear now".
It’s me again, I’m entering the phase of listening to this song of Jackie every day just like 3 yrs ago
FINALLY THESE VIDEOS ARE BACK!
Yes, whatever one pretend , it was the best of Jackie in 2011 and 2012 ... No one choose grace: Grace comes in time, and go away without any fortuity.
Bonny Monstrosity I agree
Bonny Monstrosity I agree.... this is the best of Jackie E. Everyone should also listen to her "2011 Summer festival tour in Atlanta." She sang "Impossible Dream" and "Theme to Romeo and Juliet." It was truly amazing and hauntingly beautiful!
Isso ai!
Bonny Monstrosity yeah, your right
My God! Such a sound comes from a heart touched by God himself.
No just from Jackie herself .
@@richdandanell2911 Jackie herself has said her voice is a gift from God. Even for those who dont believe in God, you must admit it is a rare gift we are not likely to see in another human for decades, unless you still listen to Jackie at 18.
@@richard40x It's not surprising that a young impressionable child to start believing what all the superstitious adults around her are telling her whether it's true or not . Everyone on the planet goes through this . That part of the indoctrination process in every religion . There is a video on YT where Jackie is 9 yrs. old at a talent contest . And the women introducing her suggests her inspiration comes from angels . Jackie just rolls her eyes and is like , yeah right . Look up Jackie sings O Mio Babbino Caro Jackie is wearing a flower print dress with a flower in her hair . You'll see what I mean . But the main point is it's absurd to give credit to an unproven god that has never been shown to exist . Instead of giving the credit to the person who really deserves it . It's the 21st century time for people to stop believing in and spreading childish superstitions . Yes , Jackie's talent is rare and wonderful , But a gift from some invisible god ? That's something that needs to be proved before it can be asserted as true .
@@richdandanell2911 Keep up your atheistic Christian hating propaganda crap, in your warped propaganda view, nobody can possibly believe in God because they want to, they must be forced to.
So quit being a fanatical atheistic propagandist moron. I am not a huge believer myself, but I am not a fanatical idiot, who cant recognize sincere belief in God when I see it.
I've been listening to this literally every day since i clicked in the link my friend sent me. Jesus i'm addicted to her voice
I had to hunt around to buy an import version of this concert because the only version available locally was the dvd version. I’m not disappointed, it’s filmed beautiful and sounded fantastic.

"Insolent"? This song is from the movie "House of Flying Daggers" chosen by Jackie's mother for her Dream With Me album produced by legendary David Foster, this performance in concert for PBS Great Performances.
