Check out the top of that battery-
it's been boiling away furiously, spitting it's electrolyte out of the vent caps.
A very underpowered alternator, failing to keep up with the load demand,
and attempting to charge a failing battery. Those two components aren't far behind.
Hot climates are just as taxing as cold to charging systems. Huge electrical loads,
(even in winter) an AC compressor clutch is basically an electric magnet,
a fuse-protected dead short. Blower, rear defogger. Halogen DRL, then everyone's charging Devices, Nav onboard. Sometimes electric power steering.
Not to mention average under hood temperatures of +215℉, city traffic.

IMO anything that is "Direct Injection" is a very poor design, the huge coking
problem of the intake valve runners, and the high pressure fuel pump
that these engines use is also hugely problematic; who know when
it fails, and extremely difficult to source a replacement at times.
MPFI, TBI, or a simple carburetor is what gets you to work.

Yeah. You’ll see tomorrow. Interestingly this pump was leaking fuel out the bottom…

I liked the fact that you double checked the wiring. And also that you check volt meter too

For some reason the song that you use for the sped up driving sequences reminds me of Skate 3

The only Nissan product I ever own was a 2006 350z. I love that car but it didn't love me back. I needed valve cover gaskets because the way Nissan build the valve covers were to build the gaskets into the valve cover if I remember correctly. It was a nice car but I got out of it before anything worse would have happened. It was a weekend car I switched and got something else.

I had an 04 350z that I bought with 68k on the odo and drove that thing everywhere, coast to coast, everywhere! Never had one single issue… sold it with 186k still running just as good as the day I got it.
For every car that’s ever been made there are segments of people that say they are nothing but crap and then others that praise the day it was made…and there is evidence to back up both parties. Buy the car you want and don’t give one single sh!t what people think or say about it because in the words of the immortal George Carlin “god damn people are f¥cking stupid”…no truer words have ever been said.

why wouldn’t you put the live data reader on the car and diagnose it properly by looking at the fuelling trims and also pressures ?

Ernest cuts a bit of stuff in the editing process so he may have done that but just not on the video. I guess we'll see in part 2

@@ballinboxer3676 I have a feeling if it’s confirmed properly it’s the hpfp then Ernest will swerve doing the job more than likely as time consuming and will normally need recoding etc etc
But alwasy like to be proved wrong 👍🏻
