The montage with the synced music was really nicely done. I think one of the core themes behind the cyberpunk genre as a whole is the Individual's struggle to maintain their humanity when facing antagonism from the System. David maintains his humanity by sending Lucy to the moon. So despite his death, he wins the battle against the system but pays a high price. Likewise, in the Aldecaldos ending, V pays the price of death in 6 months, but maintains his/her humanity by defeating Arasaka and mutually parting with Johnny.
Another reoccurring theme in the game is fatalism. The game is not even subtle about it. It's funny that Vik has been watching a boxing match that he has already seen many times before. He already knows how it's going to end. I'm actually writing a character study/analysis of V. I'd love some tips on editing and maybe some input. Is there a way to contact you?
