    RECIPE ONE-PAN PIZZA
    pizza, piza, peeza… oh how i have feared you for so long. mostly because i never allocated money towards investing in the equipment (like a baking steel, pizza peel, etc).
    well i’ve waited long enough, i’m starting my pizza journey with this one-pan pizza recipe that i found from ‪@ieatishootipost‬ . i’ve also gotten some guidance from @notapizzeria (on Instagram), who makes some wonderful pies. and i just placed an order for a baking steel and some other equipment.
    i was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED at how well this turned out. i had always thought that pizza needed to be made in some fancy wood-fired oven and a stone in order to taste “good”. granted, i do think this has a lot of improvement, i know i did a lot of things “wrong” by pizza connoisseurs, but at the end of the day i thoroughly enjoyed this pie. future pizza recipe videos will (most likely) be more complex.
    go have a pizza party with this recipe! feel free to use any kind of ingredients and toppings you prefer (i was so tempted to brush garlic butter on the crust). also, you could probably just buy pre-made pizza dough for this recipe too.
    yields 4 peezas
    dough (80% hydration)
    500 g - bread flour
    1 tsp / 2 g - yeast
    1 tbsp / 13 g - sugar
    1 tsp / 2 g - salt
    400 ml / 400 g - water
    sauce
    1 can / 794 g - whole tomatoes
    2 tbsp - tomato paste
    2 tsp - italian herbs
    pinch of salt
    toppings
    0.5 cup - bread flour
    0.5 cup - semolina flour
    extra virgin olive oil
    mozzarella (bufala di mozzarella)
    parmesan (parmigiano reggiano)
    prosciutto, arugula, burrata, basil
    method
    mix flour, yeast, sugar in a stand mixer bowl, and slowly add water
    mix until a shaggy ball, add salt and cover/rest for 20min
    knead for another 10min
    turn dough onto floured surface, shape into a ball
    cover with damp cloth for 45min
    divide into 4, roll into balls
    place each into an oiled container
    leave on table to ferment till double in size (1-2 hrs) or place in the fridge overnight for extra flavor.
    mix 1/2 cup bread flour and 1/2 cup semolina flour
    turn out the dough ball and cover with flour mixture
    shape the pizza dough by pushing the air to the rim.
    flatten the centre leaving a 1 cm rim.
    oil the Tefal ingenio pan
    place the dough onto pan and continue to shape the pizza
    oil the rim of the dough
    add tomato sauce to the centre of the pizza
    sprinkle parmesan cheese all over the pizza including the rim of the pizza. (you want it to melt and cover the outside!)
    sprinkle mozzarella cheese and add your desired toppings
    place the pan on stovetop at cook at medium heat for 3 mins
    using a pair of scissors make a hole in the middle to let steam escape
    after 3 mins, move the pan into a 225 degree oven and bake for 8 mins.
    torch to lightly char the rim
    slice and enjoy!
