Roll for the Galaxy is a dice game of building space empires for 2-5 players. Your dice represent your populace, whom you direct to develop new technologies, settle worlds, and ship goods. The player who best manages his workers and builds the most prosperous empire wins!
This dice version of Race for the Galaxy takes players on a new journey through the Galaxy, but with the the feel of the original game. - Ігри
What a great summary video. I already knew how to play but needed a refresher... great voice , pace and display!!! Thanks!!!
Anyone else getting a headache from trying to understand these rules?
yeah these rules r not like other games for me... the mechanics aren’t... intuitive? idk how to put it
Not intuitive at all. I think I will sell this game. I thought it would be low complexity but nothing makes any sense to me.
Absolutely. Haven’t been able to understand the game at all. Wish Rodney would do a rules video for this, sigh. Guess I’ll have a crack at the rulebook and see.
Thank you for putting this together! Was a great recap to get me going after not playing for a while
Was the Narrater Marshal Sutcliff?
THX !!! I was positive i knew the voice, but culd not point out
Wrong images for 1 and 10 victory points tokens at 2:00
Just a small note: there's a typo at 10:45 - goods from an alien world give you 6 credits, not 8.
Really good rules explanation! Thank You. It's like Watch it Played. I prefer your content more than in my native language ;).
Excellent tutorial! So helpful!
Great introduction. One minor correction: When abandoning tiles you do not draw the new tiles one at a time (8:22). Instead you draw all the tiles, and then choose where to place them in the your construction zone.
Hey, thanks! I never noticed that and always assumed they had to be drawn and decided upon one-by-one, but a quick check of the manual shows you are correct. This should not only speed up explore phases, but also give players a bit more control over their tableaux! :)
Because a worker is on it's x side and a worker is in the dictate space both go back into the cup. What is the X side and why does the correlation make the ship dice go back into the cup? That was not explained just dictated. Thank you for your time with this.
Excellent rules runthrough😎😃
Indeed! Very clearly explained!
What happens if you were to exceed 10$? Do you lose exceeding $ or do you flip the counter on a different side to mark it as +10 or something?
$10 is the ceiling
Hold on, if all you're doing is placing the dice on those spots regardless of symbol, then why roll them at all?
you only do that for the one die that you put on your phase strip. the game has a few different ways to mitigate luck and give you interesting choices.
We should just have Marshal Sutcliff narrate everything.
This game is really amazing if you can power through to learn it... but yeah it is NOT an easy one to learn.
You should have written the damn manual. It's so bad. It's just as bad as Race's manual.
I just finished reading it and have to agree. Especially for the Explore section.
It's confusing, yes, but one great point in the game's favor is once you understand the iconography everything is very easy to understand.
Marshal? Is that you narrating?
I was thinking the same!
mage knight is a piece of cake compared to this game
lol no
Not sure about that lol
IKR? I’m so lost
