Subscribed because this is the best tabletop game how to video I’ve ever watched! I sooo appreciate the visual aids, the use of alliteration to help remember a key part of the rules-and the fact that you didn’t start with the setup! My eyes glaze over when people start with the setup. It’s just not relevant yet, so I space out.

Awesome video, Ryan thanks so much. Needed a quick simple way to learn to try the game on Board Game Arena. I appreciate the simplicity and yet detailed video. :) Cheers
Truely a superb explanation. Only one rule I seem to have missed and not yet understood: Some bonus on a card has the phase indicator on the left highlighted in light grey, others not. Especially for phase $/IV this seems to matter. Anybody know why? Cheers, B
i hadn't noticed it, but couldn't figure it out on my own. Resident RFTG expert @dmexplains to the rescue! If you see a highlighted phase on a card, it's because that card also has text on it to explain the benefit. No highlight? No accompanying text.
I just opened the game for the first time, looked at the first page of rules and though “oh dear, this looks too complicated to learn”. The game sounds a little bit like a mix between Puerto Rico & 7 Wonders. The video was very helpful, thanks for making it.
Nice work, mon! Thanks for putting it together! New to the game. It’s one that’s been sitting on the shelf for probably two years and it’s about time the gf and I tackled it!
Dear Ryan, is it possible that a card consumes it's own good? Btw, what a great 'how to play'! Top notch, in terms of content and visually. A galactic masterpiece!
Thanks so much! You’d have to give me specifics, but i think it’s technically possible? The abilities on the cards trigger in different phases, and if a power says you get to consume “a” good, i don’t think the game cares where that good comes from. If the game was farming-themed, you’d just be harvesting a crop.
