this video has filled me. its like i was the one giving questions. because actually i used to feel un-motivated since i am in kenya and i had no hope for being trained by a master. well i am so thankful to you, master wong
Once again, Master Wong, you put out some excellent advice. Also, kudos to the fella asking the questions to get things started. Will get your system once my finances are in order.
I love watching these videos. It's always funny to see traditional schools teaching as a student. You realize how much you actually have the techniques performed on you over time. His students are always red lol
this is my first time watching this guy and i wasnt expecting much from it but what he is teaching makes perfect sense and the demonstration is perfect
I really appreciate for the wise answers that you have answered for those simple questions. I believe in one thing that " Practice makes Man Perfect. The more we practice the perfect we become. For me I should practice on each and every time I breathe in and I breathe out. Karate or wing chun kung fu can be done or practiced in each and every thing what we do
I learned wing chun from watching videos and I had plenty of chances to use what i learn when i worked at group home. I had grown adult patience try to punch, kick and bite me. I had them try to throw chairs and tv's at me. I was able to defend myself and my co workers using wing chun. And i couldn't just hit them. I used trapping hands and body movements to restrain them in a safe and controlled manor. I trained at least 4 or 5 days a week for about an hour.So Master Wong is right again it is up to you and your situation that well help decide how long you train.
***** It's good to hear that you are able to learn from the videos. Keep up the good work and hard training. It does go for show that people can learn from videos.
***** I also trained myself initially using videos in wing chun and shared with my two close friends and we contact sparred. though eventually I learned Jeet Kune Do at an academy and that shit changed my thoughts about movements. As master Wong is always talking about, its about your movements, how your express yourself through your movements and how you ingrain them into your body so that when somebody comes and wants to misery into your life you instead turn the misery on them and your response its that of aggressive instinct and you get head control and palm strike their nose 8 or 9 times
Master Wong, your videos are REALLY helpful and a great resource! I use your videos to pinpoint mistakes I make in my training and improve a little every day if I can! I have a tremendous amount of respect for you as a martial arts expert and hopefully it is not too late for my 24-year old self to become as good as you one day :)
Master Wong, I was curious if you could do a stretching tutorial in order to become more flexible. I can do sidekicks but my high kicks are horrible. Thank you MW.
You don't need to do high kicks to win most of the fights. Low kicks and medium kicks are more than enough, and better than high kicks. But you can make yoga to stretch and then you can make high kicks too.
very very good answer, im student of all martial arts. but main thing is your philosophy your thinking and what is your surrounding, if you are in a area and around you are hungry wolves you have to train very hard and avoid any trouble possible, but when trouble comes to you EMBRACE IT
Thank you for all your videos, i canot come to the seminar because im living in France. Keep going you cours, Wing Shun is a very beautiful and original art for defense..so i continue to watch your videos. . Thanks again Master :) sorry for my bad english.
master wong videos helped me very much in my personal life too so daniel faggella you can take me as an example who got the maximum benefit from master wong!!!
Huge fan Master Wong... A huge fan. Can't understand why people are asking questions instead of watching and learning. Anyways, always liked your work. Bravo master...🙏
Great video Sifu Wong - he didn't mention it, but I noticed in every specific answer to every question and demonstration is the fact that he closed the "gap" immediately! anyone who has been trained, and or is still training, realizes that there is a sweet spot at the end of someone's punch, or at the end of someone's Kick. that position would be where the "snap" would take place. If it is an attack that you do not see coming, the initial point of contact, you absolutely will be at the precise ( that is if whoever is attacking you has any idea of what they're doing/ training? ) point of impact at the first strike. After that, you close the distance immediately , because the snap at the end of any kick or any jab - is at the very end of that particular strike. And I noticed that he didn't mention it, but, as he was doing his demonstration, his opponent was only given one opportunity to make that one strike work! After, that he closed the distance. And it is at that point where you begin to utilize your skills and training to work your way out of whatever situation confronts you at that time. When the interviewer asks the ridiculous question of how long or how often should you train? I am a guitarist, and I have been playing for more than 40 years, and I try to play at least 2/3 hours, and sometimes up to 6 or 8 hours a day to be proficient at playing my instrument. IF you want to be good at anything, you must dedicate yourself to whatever that is! whether it is playing guitar , martial arts, or how to cook scrambled eggs! You have to put your whole self into it! You have to live that dream.... Thank you for the videos Sifu! It sounds like you are in the UK? too bad, I would love to train with you! Blessings and Praises - G ( My Sifu in Wing Chun training was here in NYC w/Chung Kwok Chow - Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with the Gracie 12 time world champion. My boxing training was with a former middleweight champion of the world, as long as well as George Foreman's early trainer who took him to his Olympic gold medal. I try to make my style a combination of all of these things, and none of these things... )
I love all your videos sifu... it looks like you are a small guy like... How can I developed power in a short period of time... I am a jujitsuka my whole life... are caloustetics the way or are there other ways to become strong... thx for all the videos... Jujitsu is a street art... I find your techniques very similar... direct and street effective
Master Wong, you are very impressive, and I really admire your wing chun techniques. I have some questions. Could you please tell me how to defend knee kicks? How to defend high or low kicks or someone who can kick very strong? Could you show us some strong kicks on the way of wing chun?
it might be just me but i find every Skilled Martial Artist i have met or seen on videos films documentaries and so on they all had/have a Good Sense of Humour I did Lau Gar Kung fu/wing chun when i was 15/16 some of the moves in these videos are Refreshing my Mind and its inspired me to Start Training again as my old kung fu teacher would say to me all the time Don't forget to Breath! :D
Hi! love your videos! I studied wing chun, with a master Sifu named Song-Gi years ago, and I can tell you are really good! Your fighting reminds me of him a bit! :-) could you perform the wing chun basic form, slowly, so that I can remember it better, please? thanks for the visa!!!

This is all very good information, but can you do a video on how to raise your awareness so that you can see what your opponent is about to do
wildliferulers this will come down to your instinct and awareness. Practice being aware wherever you go. Keep your eyes on every thing.
