While the band name Gonzalez didn’t ring a bell the song certainly did. Best Disco in Town was played constantly at our Sydney haunts Chevron Hotel and Texas Tavern in those days. It reminds me of the “Hits on 45” line up. Loved hearing both songs again.
@@DavidsSoundTrackofLife I believe we did - I think it was Friday 10th May 1974 - two honeys dancing together and we asked them both to dance - when they knocked us back we stayed beside them dancing together - just to see them off 😂😂🕺🕺
I'm a former disco dj and you and I probably have a lot of similar interests. I don't know where you got this version of this song though, I have the original Gonzales album and this is not the version on that album. I assume you like a lot of other artists from that era like Lime, Change, Love and Kisses, Dan Hartman, Gregg Diamond, Amant, Revanche, Peter Brown, USA/European Conbection, Love and Kisses, Liquid Gold, Musique....
Hi Kenny, Thanks for your comments, you are absolutely rite I enjoy listening to all music from classical through to heavy metal, but I love the music of the 70's. I hope you keep watching, Cheers David.

I used to hang out at the Texas Tavern & the Chevron Hotel. Who knows we may even have had a dance together.
