My auntie has met her hundreds of times with her daughter Carrie Fisher. I've met her multiple times with Carrie. Both incredibly sweet ladies, very funny, and very intelligent. Let me tell you when they both died I was sobbing with my aunt.

I just want to say she's the last of the great ones. Such a class act such a kind person. She also rescued a bunch of costumes from the dumpsters at the movie Studios.
Her plan was to have a museum, and in it would have been the Dorothy costume from the wizard of OZ, Star Wars, in particular the bikini that her daughter wore. Unfortunately, after her death, they were unable to get a good location to set up the museum. Makes me terribly sad to think about what could have been.
Oprah actually had her on her show with her daughter Carrie Fisher, and it was amazing to see the costumes that she had saved. I'm sure you could find the episode on UA-cam.

She actually did have her own museum - The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Hotel & Casino in LV where she had a special part of her hotel dedicated to her Hollywood Memorabilia. Not to mention, a large theatre & stage where she entertained - sang & danced.

She was a gymnast and a baton twirler in school.
She also didn’t complain with the intense dance lessons preparing for the film with Gene Kelly; to the point where her feet bled.

The movie would not have been the same if Debbie had not been it. I loved the movie.yes Donal O'Connor was great, but I do believe Danny Kay would have been just as good. Danny Kay was one of my favorite dancers

Debbie Reynolds and her husband, Eddie Fisher were great friends with Elizabeth Taylor and her husband, Mike Todd. When Taylor's husband died in a tragic accident, dear friend Eddy, married with children, comforted the grieving widow by seducing her while she was at her lowest point. I remember hearing Carrie Fisher talk about the scandal years ago. It sounded like she and her mom blamed him for ruining their family and taking advantage of an inconsolable friend. They didn't see Taylor as a husband stealer. They put the blame on Eddie. He saw a chance and took it.

She didn't. Her lack of dancing skills really got Gene Kelly frustrated. She was offered lessons from Fred Astaire for this role.
