I recently bought this controller out of nostalgia originally. I used to use the wired afterglow controllers for my Xbox 360. And I knew I used to love those so when I saw this one at GameStop here in 2023 I went ahead and picked it up. Once I got it paired, it is awesome. The controller itself is very responsive. I love the colors of the lights. Absolutely awesome. Back in the day if you want a different color afterglow, you’d have to buy a different controllers. This one allows you to choose the color you want. Which I find awesome.thanks for the video. It was quite helpful.
The battery was the one thing that was stopping me from buying it but now I can buy it with confidence.
I love them so much I have two lol. Reminds me of the see through n64 controller days. The battery lasts much longer for me then the joy con's! I think if you set it to do multiple colors it kills the battery faster
I just ordered mine! What was your original concern with the battery though? Or was that with an older model?
The afterglow can have up to 4 days worth lol

I got this controller from my brother who plays on the OLED model on the couch, since he held it low the light didn’t matter. I play on my stomach on my bed so naturally it’s an issue.

Thanks, my afterglow controller stopped pairing with my switch a couple months ago. Somehow just following your directions, I was finally able to get it paired again!
How? My sons controller was working fine the day before yesterday - then yesterday he paired it to his friends Switch and now it won't re-pair again with his on switch - suffice it to say he is properly distraught and I can't figure out how to pair it again :(

Things I love the most about this is it straight out of the box it was connected and blinding me. I didn't even know there was a way to turn those down or off so that makes it sounds better. TY SO MUCH!!!
Aside from the lack of rumble, this is a must-have controller! I absolutely love it!

I just bought one a few days ago. I also have a couple afterglow controllers for the Xbox. I've had no for a few years and they work great.

This controller is a MUST BUY. Imo better than original one. It's licensed by nintendo. REALLY customizable. If you don't like rgb, you can disable them temporary. If you don't like the back buttons, you can disable them temporary. You can change brightness. Usb-c charging cable. What is there not to like about this thing? ONLY cons about this is there is no NFC and rumble. THAT'S IT. Which I don't use amiibos nor rumble so it doesn't matter. 10/10

rumble is kinda disappointing. Most modern controllers have rumble these days.

To be honest, I had this controller for my switch for a while. And I always remained at the same O’l blue color it originally starts with. But now knowing it has light years cooler color features baffles me.

Is there a way to turn the lights off to save battery life though? Some of us just want to play the controller the way it is without the lights on.
