Why use water to rinse the pipettes? Water can haemolyse the red cells. We want the cells washed and not haemolysed. Use normal saline for rinsing of pipettes please
major crossmatch uses patient serum against donor red cell, minor uses patient(recipient) red cell against donor plasma for full crossmatch bt youre are using patient plasma against donor red cell, what method is this, emergency?
Nice explanation. But when you mix the donor RBC and donor plasma, you can centrifuge it at the rate of 35000 rpm and check it there is clumping or not. This will safe time in case of blood transfusion.
I came to this video looking for this comment. Ratio of red cell suspension to plasma should be 1:2. If she uses 2 drops of cell suspension, she should have used 4 drops of patients plasma
