  • Eccentric strengthening can be a valuable treatment tool, especially when treating issues with "tendinosis".
This includes things like the following: Achilles tendinosis, Biceps tendinosis, Rotator cuff tendinosis (aka "supraspinatus" tendinosis) and Tennis Elbow.
Before you jump into performing eccentric exercises for one of these tendon issues, it's important to understand how eccentric strengthening works, as well as how it differs from "concentric strengthening".
In this video, I'll explain the difference between eccentric and concentric strengthening.
And in future videos, I'll share specific exercises for the specific tendon issues (such as Achilles and Biceps tendon issues).
So stay tuned for those videos, and make sure to subscribe to my channel!

I've been diagnosed with Extensor carpi ulnaris tendinosis. Have you got any tips on treating this. It's been hurting on and off for years so I'm assuming it hasn't been caught early. Does that make any difference to the treatment?

I don't have any specific advice, as I don't specialize in hands and wrists. Sorry about that... you might reach out to a hand specialist.
