Hey i also found drinking Ginger infused tea really helps with symptoms, just get some fresh ginger from grocers, chop an inch sized piece and grate it into boiling water. Let it simmer for 5-10 mins and drink that after and chew on some of the ginger pieces. It was really soothing and helps with nausea and seems to help with vertigo un-comfortability. You do not need to any tea bags or anything, its just water and ginger. I do sometimes add a couple slices of lemon when simmering the ginger and let it all infuse. Once you do the Epley manoeuvre the ginger infused really helps after the residual effects and initially if feeling nauseas
Hello, I performed the Dix HallPike maneuver for my left side and I thought the whole world was spinning around I could not believe it, it was like I was on a Merry-Go-Round. And so I performed the epley maneuver and it appeared to work but I did it three days in a row just to make sure and then when I repeated the Dix Hallpike test I had no vertigo. But I'm still having balance problems and I'm following the exercises that you showed on another video and I'm just wondering how long on average does it take before I regain my balance? I used to have really good balance. When I was a young man I could ride my motorcycle on the back tire all the way down the street and now I can hardly walk straight.
Great work so far! Keep up with the VOR exercises you mentioned, and if safe, you might throw in some standing balance with your eyes closed. Things should slowly improve as you continue to work the exercises. Also, don't be afraid to retest with the Dix-Halpike, just to make sure you got all the crystals back where they belong!
Fluid build up, like with Meniere's Disease can cause vertigo in dizziness, yes. But it won't cause true BPPV (where the crystals are floating in the canals).
I saw my PT today and she determined I have vertigo - bilateral or both ears . She sent me home with instructions to do Epley for left ear first. Well after doing the exercise tried to sit up and my body just slammed me backwards . I have no one helping me. Supposed to do this 2x a day for 5days. How?
I have done epley and bbq several times a day for 5 days now. I recorded my eyes and it looked like i needed to epley. Now when i lay down im not dizzy when i do the maneuvers but im still dizzy when im walking or turn my head to the left. So im not sure its a crystals problem. Ive been to hospital and they did catscan and said it was vertigo. This is horrible and its the first time this has happened to me. What do you think could be going on? Its definitely in my left ear and my right ear feels normal
Saved for my next vertigo episode. Great information.
Thank you! I hope your next episode is far, far away :-)

Great tip! I really like ginger for nausea and stomach upset as well and I drink it regularly in tea and coffee.
I do this too! 😊👍

Does fluid buildup in the ears cause BPPV?

Hello, I would like to know if there is a way to avoid vertigo altogether. I mean some vitamins, minerals or preventive exercise...
Not really, at least as far as I know. It's a pretty random occurrence for most people. Luckily, it's very treatable!

That's going to be really challenging without someone helping. Can you go back to the PT and have them help you?
