#StarWarsTheoryPlus
Star Wars is for everybody. That should include people who aren't strung out on some DEI agenda. Most of us are just folk who want some good stories. No more, no less.
Star Wars is not for *Everyone*. Star Wars us for *Anyone* who enjoys Star Wars.
@@Mad-Cat_Dan George Lucas didn't confine his target audience only to the people "who enjoy Star Wars". It's for people who love sci fi, romance, adventure, action, fantasy and a dozen other things. People who love any of that stuff can find something in George Lucas's Star Wars to love.
And you and other SWT fans should come to the fact that under Disney, you simply will not get good stories. From Stat Wars or Marvel. Everything has to go through a DEI filter because its Disney...probably the wokest company in Hollywood
@@GrayFox370 Oh, I know it. I've known it for ten years. The moment they killed off the old Expanded Universe, they killed off the heart and soul of Star Wars itself.
Why are you still triggered
What's crazy is having less creative control in the third season after creating 2 very successful seasons!!
First one was good. Second season was nothing more than key jangling cameos to hide the plotholes.
Sadly... that happens all the time.
Once you do have a succefull project....
All of a sudden some people will want to be more involved on the project once it becomes popular.... and then you end up with producers trying to be creative all of a sudden and give their creative imput..... and you end up with too many cooks into the kitchen. :(
@@GrayFox370 It coulda been stronger but you have to admit there was some cool shit (and not just dumb cool shit)
@@GrayFox370 explain the plot-holes.
@@DCUOMultiverseYep. Frustrating having to switch fandoms every time my favorite thing gets in a bad content output phase.
Its such a Kathleen move.
She had failed numerous times with anything she touched. So she is pretty much forced to give Jon autonomy in making mando.
Then when it becomes a huge hit she comes charging in to try to make it hers.
Nice to hear someone finally acknowledge all of these problems are because of DEI mandates.
YES! and I hope now some people out there can truly understand BOBF & Mando Season 3 how they turned out was NOT Jon Favreau's fault, and they can stop blaming him!
I want to believe this is true, but Jon is then just confirming what we already know. KK has the franchise under lock and key and no matter how successful something becomes under the Disney banner she will always have final word and ruin it pushing her agenda!
"put a chick in it and make it gay!" -Kk
What I fail to understand, if there is such clear view that KK is ruining projects, why do they continue to let her interfere with projects? It baffles me how they have so much rich content to pull from and make money on and they fail to do so. I think the Mandalorian is a CLEAR example of how much money they could make when there is a clear creative direction. Ugh it infuriates me
They can’t admit that DEI is a failure, they think it would look bad for them if they fire a woman no matter how much money she loses
Technically she’s still making them a shit ton of money. Doesn’t matter if everyone hates it, people are still paying a lot of money to see it.
@@bubbachomp4674 Indiana jones lost Disney about 100 million dollars and Solo lost about 73 million dollars, it was such an embarrassment that Disney is now only doing Star Wars shows instead of movies
Isn't it obvious to you? She's been around since the 70's when she used to get coffee for Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. She was their personal assistant. She has dirt on them and Bob Iger and others so she uses that as leverage to keep her position regardless of how bad she's at it. Her contract apparently expires later this year but of course she is already grooming a female from her storyboard group to be her successor. You will not get someone like Faverau or Filoni be the president of Lucasfilm I can guarantee you that. It will be someone from KK's own all women story group who came up with "the Force is female" back then.
It's not a matter of "let." She's the president. With that said, her contract is up in October and I doubt she gets renewed.
It stands to reason that story writers in their best interests has to see what fans and critics like in a fan legacy universe to make good stories so they’re aware of any criticism.
So Kennedy ruined Mandalorian Season 3
No surprise. All the dorks on Reddit, & people like Mauler Blaming JON for everything.
Yep!
KK, Jon, and Filoni are all equally to blame. You need to clean house and get rid of everyone if you want good Star Wars. You need to get rid of Kevin Feige if you want good Marvel.
@@-Anonymous-. I blame them all equally. I know everyone blames KK and gives others the pass but Jon is the one who allowed her to meddle with S3 Mando. He could have walked off if he didn't like what she was doing.
@@GrayFox370he is working for Disney and has to follow their instructions or he is out. kk’s dei has to adjust the script every time, this isnt a new thing, but they are being VERY strict about it clearly. You clearly havent heard of the story where he DID walk off set because they changed the story so much. He still wants to be employed to be able to get some income into the projects he is working on, and star wars was a dream project for him.
I’m coming to the conclusion that she must be evil
Von mentioned that filter they put all the writers through, and then today we see the news about Rey movie getting delayed for THAT VERY REASON. Crazy!
Basically confirms our biggest fears for the upcoming stories. Everybody will still be creatively neutered by the almighty KK
I don't believe dude ever spoke to Favreau. LOL
Right? lol I would believe it if he took a photo with him or took one of him at this place that he was in
I wish i could prove it. But, when the making of mando season2 first released favreau says “closing out the grogu arc by sending him to Luke”. I watched it around the time of book of boba and that comment was no longer in the special. It is a shame. Favreau had reinvigorated most of the fandom but Disney and LF has a rotten culture and squashed it. I hope Favreau got some creative guarantees since LF has obviously messed up again with the Rey movie production
I do find this story remarkably unbelievable as well, as so many others have commented.
Such a high profile and wealthy individual just at a random bar, by himself, speaking freely about something that could blow up world wide against him to a perfect stranger? Yeah - not buying it.
In the age of smart phone cameras in everyone's pocket, not only would you... but 3 dozen other people would be snapping phots of this man and either fan boying him or harassing him.
A comparable event I personally experienced was in ~2007, seeing Dave Chappelle at a night club in Hawaii. Guess what - he had his own security crew, went straight to the VIP room, and definitely wasn't just leaning on the bar waiting for randoms to chat him up. I say again "aint no way."
Theory - I am a fan, but I don't like your brand being connected to stuff like this.
You work your ass off, make damn good fan fiction, are beyond passionate about Star Wars, and I align greatly with your way of thought from all that I've heard you put out thus far.
You do not need what this guy is offering to grow/thrive.
I share your skepticism, but...Jon Favreau's face is not *nearly* as well known to the general public as Chappelle's. Not even close.
The balls it took to just walk up to Jon Favarau in a bar and ask him shit
They shouldn't have to explain anything. That's what good storytelling is supposed to do. They'd be able to tell full story arcs if they did more than 6 episodes per season. It's always the bare minimum with Disney to the detriment of the content. Oh, and get rid of Kuntleen Kuntedy already.
You just know at least one person will say “but we didn’t know what happened between ANH and ESB” and to that we say…
You don’t HAVE to in that case. There’s enough time and enough possibilities open where it kinda explains itself. With this? We had some questions that needed answering and didn’t get ‘em until after. OUTSIDE the projects themselves
And that's business apparently. No matter how much work you put into a production in Hollywood or Disney it'll always have to get approved by someone. Someone will always have the last day in what goes in and what will need to be changed
New Kid coming in with "I know it better than you" situation. Lived that in the Tranformers fandom when the Bay movies came out, so I hear y'all.
This sounds like a 'trust me bro' kind of story.. but I lack the context around this clip
he gave the context on Theory talks. He lives near the studios.
I hope we get a Mandalorian Game set in the two years were grogu is with Luke so we can play Mando in a new adventure
its true we just want good stories, kk needs to just let these guys work.
I jave a hard time believing that Disney's Top creative, who is under NDA's and contracts and has had media training would open up to strangers on a whim.
The guy in the vid literally said Jon said he couldn’t say anything other than there was some changes that effected the direction. Homeboy is just speculating what he meant by that, which is a good thing.
@@RedBone45 Sure Jan. "Let's strike up a conversation with a Rando in the streets about corporate politics of the company I work for"
Jon Favreau has signed NDAs, had media training, worked for Marvel and LFL under the Disney Banner.
He knows what he can and cannot talk about wether it is press or fans.
Taking this as fact is lower common denominator at this point.
And shame on SWTheory for passing this as fact. This is embarassing.
@@anthonyguadagnanoify are you a tard? Can you not read or listen? The guy literally says Jon told him he can’t say anything really and referred to some changes that was clear by the way the seasons were different. The guy in the video literally separated that from his own personal speculation given the information that we all have at our public disposal about what happened around that time. No one here said Jon leaked anything people didn’t already speculate from the beginning
We get it, you’re a theory hater. You guys purposely avoid context. Lmao
Watch this new Rey spinoff have a story of her finding Grogu and trying to return him to his kind only to discover that he’s “one of her” and then having her take him as an apprentice…
+ @harrambou9468 Basically apply the Mandalorian plot line to that abomination movie in the making?
I bumped into Jon Favreau in a coffee shop and he told me he sleeps with a baby grogu plush inbetween his legs
😂😂😂😂
It's glaringly obvious that he had more creative control for Seasons 1 and 2, than Season 3. Don't get me started on TBOBF. It's clear that someone came in to fix a disaster. I never believed that Favreau wrote it that way.
Boba Fett becoming the good guy was set up by Filoni in the clone wars though. One of his last quotes was "No more people are going to die, or be locked up, or live in fear" as he stood up to cad bane. A deleted scene that was reused in Book of Boba Fett, ending in a stand off the same way.
Boba Fett had problems, but portrayal of the character wasn't tarted by this show. Filoni has a different view of the character than everyone else did.
@@corellioncrusaderproductio4679 It was the sudden switch to Mando and Grogu and Grogu returning to Mando that was the big problem for me.
Thanks for the info from CW though. It's been awhile. I'll have to go back and watch those episodes again. You wouldn't happen to know which episodes those were would you?
@@rebekah.2187 The episode it was in was cut from the 6th and 7th season, but if you look up the CW Cad Bane vs Boba Fett deleted scene you'll find it. It definitely shows that Filoni had this idea way back when they were finishing off Clone Wars, but wasn't able to work it in until now.
It's almost like he wanted Boba to have a bit of heros complex before he grew up, but then he wasn't able to get it into Clone Wars, and ended up doing it later in Boba's life at a point where most people wouldn't think he would act like that. I think it would have worked way better if it was just done in Clone Wars to begin with.
I 100% agree with you about Grogu returning, honestly I don't think Book of Boba Fett needed Grogu at all. It was so random and sudden that it felt like they were just in a rush to keep Grogu around for marketing.
@@corellioncrusaderproductio4679 Thanks for the info. Honestly, I never bought the "marketing" story for Grogu's return. If it's true, then wow, that person really effed up royally. Disney has already repackaged Anakin's lightsaber as Rey's, but they're passing up the opportunity to sell Grogu lightsabers? Yeah, right. And the moon is made of cheese. The kid wouldn't have had to be gone that long anyway. He already had training, which was obvious to anyone who was paying attention from the beginning, but few did. So, all they had to do was do a time jump, say that Luke helped him unlock his memories and discovered Grogu had more training than anyone originally thought, and he just needed to regularly practice using the Force after 28 years of not using it, or only using it when in the most dire of circumstances. This way he could have finished his training, built his lightsaber, and returned to Mando in Season 4.
Another way would have been to time jump, and have Grogu with Luke for part of Season 3. He doesn't finish completely, but is with Luke long enough to build his lightsaber, and get the help and practice he needs so he using the Force doesn't keep knocking him out, and then he quits because he senses Mando is in danger or something and returns to him that way. Either way, he wouldn't be gone that long.
Disney may think it's too big to fail, but that's what they said about the Titanic too. Whether this is all a Disney problem, a KK problem, or a combination of both, the ship is sinking fast and they'd better find a way to keep it afloat before it ends up in a watery grave.
@@rebekah.2187 Well, Luke was going to give Grogu Yoda's old saber, so if they went that route it would effective be doing the same thing they did with Luke.
I don't know exactly where it went wrong, but you're right, something has got to change. That being said, Kenobi had some really cool moments and I honestly thougth Ahsoka was the best thing I've seen out of Disney Star Wars so far, even if it does have a few problems of its own.
With Filoni being upped to creative director, hopefully he and Favreau will have the creative control they need to start making higher quality stuff.
He probably doesn’t want people he talks to on the street (obviously off record) to take what he says and blast it all over the internet. He is probably being chewed out right now because he talked to a random person
I'm a Katee Sackhoff fan, so I'm OK with Bo-Katan. But the stories should be good.
A show called Star Grift was the perfect place for this attention seeker to spout his nonsense. No way on planet earth that happened and Drinker/Mauler can tell
Most of what he is saying is him speculating what the changes actually were based on the time frame of when the story was being shaped. The guy in the video isnt saying that Favreau said everything that was said. He only said Favreau said there isnt alot he can say but there were some company changes and he couldnt go into the Grogu thing.
Nobody wants to be made to look stupid, you can tell that even Ryan is very skeptical of him and even questions him on his story. Tbh I don't think I believe him, it's just that I believe that's what happened to an extent in general, I just highly doubt Jon Favreau would tell some random guy at a bar this 😂
you should listen again, all he said Favrau said was that he couldnt say anything and that there were some changes with creative and thats it.
Hes been on Theorys Podcast b4 and has shown he lives near the studios where alot of that stuff gets shot in LA and he has a photo with Jon in his discord. He wasnt lying lol @@Rev_Goose

Either Jon is a hack, and the first couple of seasons were flukes at best, or the third season was manhandled by Kennedy herself. My guess best guess is the latter.
Womanhandled.
So this confirms (I mean we pretty much knew it was the case) that there were a lot of hands from up top interfering with Mando and hell maybe even Bad Batch, Clone Wars S7 the list goes on.
The only thing the check should do is make sure that things line up across the board. Continuity wise.
Not trying to call you out, but I know Jon or should say more specifically, am related to Jon. I kind of doubt he implicated anyone or department at Disney the way you said he did. He perhaps may have said the "yeah we hear you" comment, that sounds like something he would say, but I think it's possible you read more into what was said than what was actually said.
That said, I personally think Disney has ruined the Star Wars franchise with it's DEI extreme push. As for Jon, he would never say that even if he believed it was true, I am sure of that.
AND A LOT CLAIMED JON IS INCOMPETENT AND SEASON 3 IS HIS FAULT….
ITS NO SURPRISE WHAT REALLY HAPPENED.
He said in an interview that years had passed between S2 and S3…but like…how
@@harrambou9468 because that was the original plan & story. After he said that Disney shot that down immediately by putting out statements.
This video is LITERALLY about what happened between seasons 2 & 3 lol
Grogu coming back suddenly is “addressed”
Lol they are blaming the guy making the show good. Fire kk and all these problems end.
I love Theory’s recent collaborations with Geeks and Gamers and other affiliated UA-camrs.
For 1 thing: Kennedy's firing of Gina Carano, and banishment of the character of Cara Dune, which led to the cancellation of Rangers Of The New Republic, strongly affected/detracted from the original results of both The Book Of Boba Fett and Season 3 of The Mandalorian. Most likely, it also affected some of the timing for certain plot elements in Ahsoka. Kennedy & Co. were pissed that "The Rescue" had revealed just HOW WRONG their game plan had been, since 2013, and they all wanted to pounce on this newfound $uccessful SW venture. Grogu being forced back on Din Djarin was absolutely a company decision...plus, I'm sure Kennedy hated the idea of Luke Skywalker training a member of Yoda's species, when she and her Story Group had already decided that Ben Solo was to be Jedi Master Skywalker's 1st Jedi Student. Yet, when that poster was made, depicting Grogu and Luke together, with a yellow (Sentinel) Kyber Crystal suspended in air along with a small lightsaber, fans all over were piqued with excitement, HOPE, and anticipation. Somehow, I'm certain many of the newbies over at Lucasfilm Ltd. weren't overjoyed to see both the poster and the fan adulation. Polar opposites. I'll bet, however, both Favreau and Filoni have copies of that poster in their own personal stashes.
Star Wars was always for everyone. DEI has made it an exclusive property and killed it in the process. Real Star Wars does not currently reside with Disney. It remains alive in our hearts.
This is like a nerds dream version of the avengers coming together critical drinker mauler and star wars theory the level of analysis skills good opinions and critical thinking is godlike among these 3 when it comes to movies shows and entertainment media
Wish John Favreu had total control.
Fits with all the stuff Film Threat is discussing regarding Pixar / Disney Animation.
I just binged Mando and and book of Boba Fett. I know a lot of people disliked season 3, but I enjoyed it. I like Bo Katan. Katee Sackhoff was great in BSG.
Who is the person telling the story about his convo with Jon?
A sad dude making up stories for clout 😂
a nobody, he's from theory's Discord channel who payed theory to have him come on a stream to talk about lies lol
From someone with a young inpressionaable 2 year old nephew. I only let him watch the prequels and first 3 episodes of Star Wars. Anything created after rogue one doesn’t serve a purpose to me or my family
Get Kathleen Kennedy out period end of discussion I love Star Wars and hope to see another saga from the infinite amount of creative ideas that are possible
Nothing will change with her out. Her contract expires later this year I believe and if she doesn't extend it, you already know she is already grooming a female from her storyboard group to be her successor. You will not get someone like Faverau or Filoni be the president of Lucasfilm I can guarantee you that. It will be someone from KK's own all women story group who came up with "the Force is female" back then.
Remember Theory, you were once the "young whiper-snapper" when the prequel trilogy came out. And the OG fans berated the prequels. It's the transition of things. The only difference is that now, the changes and transition is agenda and politically motivated. But everyone dislikes the changes from what they knew.
THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS
It's unfair!
This isn’t information that we don’t already know
We already know what happened between seasons 2 and 3. KK got her succubus claws into it, and sucked the life out of it.
What I don't understand is how much credit KK gets for so many very successful movies. Just because she was listed as a "producer". Typically she was producer #4 or 5 which pretty much means she got her name in the credits and that's about it. She has not produced anything good, on her own.
I knew I was right. Seasons One & Two were completely Jon’s idea. Once Disney saw how successful, they made sure they had their claws in the writing room. Season Three was completely different from the first Two Seasons. After seeing Season Three, I cancelled my Disney+ subscription. Have no urge to continue watching any Star Wars that Disney touches after they ruined the last good thing they had.
It was still a Din Djarin centric season in Season 3. Din united the Mandalorians and was instrumental in retaking Mandalore. Bo Katan needed to be a part of that but she was NEVER the lead. That talking point is old, tired and has no merit.
I just hope now that Dave got his promotion, that'll he'll get more creativity freedom and therefore also John as well... cuz they are doing an fantastic job together, 1 is master in SW stuff, the other is master in how to make good stuff... they basc make the perfect mix... ofc they are able to create stuff on their own... Ahsoka... the new dave feloni movie... I just hope they get more freedom from now... but then again Disney never learns... even tho it's gonna loose them money...
I guarantee you that the reason why Filoni is in that position is so that he can be the fall guy. When future Star Wars projects suck, he will get the blame. And he would get fired before Kathleen Kennedy.
Dave is just as bad as KK. Ahsoka was absolutely horrible my faith is destroyed.
its the gina davis diversity program.
filoni was also promoted after season 1 or 2. he gained control over the show.
Filoni wasn't promoted, until long after Season 2. Then, he wasn't elevated to Chief Creative Officer, until about 6 months ago. Plus, The Mandalorian's showrunner is Jon Favreau, with Dave Filoni as his Second-In-Charge. Always has been, always will be. Jon owns the character of Grogu, through his own production company. Just like Jon is the main creator for this upcoming The Mandalorian & Grogu movie; and he will be an Executive Producer for Filoni's Mandoverse culmination.
@@anthonyyoutubefan7567 nope. that was his second promotion six months ago.
he has been favreau's boss since season 2.
@@ardendragoon Nope: The first promotion was, Executive Creative Director, which happened in Spring 2021, long after Mando Season 2. And, it didn't give power to overrule his own collaborator/showrunner. The promotion to C.C.O occurred late Fall 2023, just 2 months ago.
@@anthonyyoutubefan7567 I concede the date. it wasn't until season 3.

How in the world is this supposed to be corroborated?
The comment about 'Young Whippersnappers' made me laugh out loud. How very ironic. I was at the first showing of Star Wars in my city. Where were you guys in May of 1977??? Please, boys - your arrogance is showing,
Simple - season 3 is nothing more than shitting the bed. I feel bad for us true SW fans - but I feel equally bad for Favreau who really started the train rolling on good SW with seasons 1 and 2. Damn shame.
Well well well…we started with the Drinker takin the piss outta SW Theory and here we are 😅
Remember when Darth Traya said _“an alliance formed out of hatred is flimsy at best”_ so long ago?
Nah, sister, I find that consistently disproven 😂
*Edit:* clickbait, really? 🤨
REEEEEVA
I enjoyed almost all of season three, except for the jack black episode
“Put a chick in it, and make her gay and lame.”
So.........schools deciding not to put put certain books in their library is a violation of the first amendment and book banning ? But telling TV and movie script writers what they can and write in their scripts is just fine ?
Whatever happened fucked the show so SO bad. However it happened, whatever it was, season 3.... sucked. It was awful.
What was bad about it?
I know what happened in season 2 & 3, it went woke 😅
Well i mean this just says it all. EXACTLY what i thought, i knew Kathy Kennedy had interfered! But this is kinda worse than i imagined regards the whole DEI/ESG stuff.
I rememeber when director Denis Villenuve talked about how he was ordered to put ex-amount of Ethnic & Female characters into his DUNE adaptation, for tick boxes, and he even said, the produxers told him if he doesnt do it, they will just force gender-swaps and race-swapped characters into his movie. So he ultimately changed the character of Dr Liet Kynes into a Black Woman, and a couple other like smaller characters were changed. Denis handled it well though and the female version of Liet Kynes in his movie was actually handled well.
But this is a very troubling thing now in Hollywood, knowing that literally EVERYTHING has to be combed over, scanned through all this WOKE ESG/DEI process first, before it's okayed and put out there.
But atleast we know our suspicions have been confirmed. Thanx for this very insightful video.
It's why the Mandalorian Movie is so iffy.. Jon Favreau can totally make a great movie, but will he be allowed to.
Can the nut jobs keep away from the set and let him make it. They showed in the Tv series that they couldn't it was clear as day that Season 3 went off the rails.
I hate when folks gatekeep Star Wars. So is it longevity in being a fan that makes you a true fan and if you just started liking it you're not a fan? So stupid. By that standard I have been a Star Wars fan since 1977 when the first movie was released. Does that give me more fan cred than Theory and his ilk who started liking Star Wars during the prequel trilogy? To me, if someone likes Star Wars then they are a fan. Everyone is entitled to their opinions on Star Wars without being told or made to feel that they are not a fan or that they are more of or lesser than someone else.
Fan elitism is always wild to me..
I just watch the Star Wars stuff that appeals to me and hope people enjoy the stuff that appeals to them. 🤷🏿♂️
Welcome to the generation of outrage

I don't think you should title this video this way after bringing a dude on stream with a "trust me bro" source. 😂 it's just hella misleading and dishonest. I think you'll probably use your usual reasoning - my channel I do what I want. Ye sure.. ok. ;P

Here's another news flash! Fire is hot and ice is cold... Simply put i will no longer support being insulted by Lucas Film and Disney. I won't pay it and will gladly see the rey bomb and burn in a blaze of woke glory. I feel bad for them sacrificing favro by pushing out the mando movie first cause thats not gonna bomb as badly as the rey one cause normies with grogu...
Yeah and my cousin's neighbor's boyfriend saw Jon Favreau at KFC and he said Theory is bantha poodoo.
Bottom line is KK needs to go.
Joking about drunk driving and laughing it off is not funny.
The Book of Boba Fett?
Woke changes that's what
The story of Star Wars has become how to turn something so good into something that's complete trash.
NONSENSE 😅
Did drinker say anything in this?
Season 3 was bad
….weak at best
Nothing new was said here. Also, who even cares about Star Was at this point. I'm unable to watch the original trilogy because I know how those chacters end up. One is a cowardly old man who gives up all his obligations to hide himself on an island, the other a failure as a political leader without allies and a failure as a military leader that lost the army she commanded leading all her men to die for no reason and the last one a failure as husband leaving his wife and son and a failure as a man for not knowing where he parked his space ship.
What happened was after two successful season the woke crowd at Disney dug their claws in. You saw it in the book of boba fett where they neutered boba to push the Asian chick and the diversity scooter squad. While also making the mini series the Mandalorian 2.5 in which they ruined the entire plot of the first to seasons so they can keep their cash cow , baby yoda, in the show.
The tossed in some characters they stole from the Legends storylines. I pretty much got annoyed with it when they brought in Cade Bane.. it was a shit show.
I was taking a $hit and Kevin Feige was in the stall next to me
