@Torvic Yes. There is a difference between those who have left it all behind to follow Christ (to live a new life, seeking to honour Him) and those who want to find a way where everything and everyone can be accepted (even if obviously rebelling in sinful pride against God).

He certainly seems like a nice man but that's only because he doesn't follow what the bible actually says, and picks certain verses to interpret how he wants, where as at least a fundamentalist christian as awful as they are and wrong about a lot, they can say they adhere to every word literally.

Although I'm basically an agnostic, I find Welby to be very thoughtful, low key, and humble; he seems to be completely lacking in the pomposity one often associates with figures in high positions in the clergy. It's very refreshing to hear him admit that he struggles with certain issues and does not have a clear answer. He seems like he could have a reasonable conversation with just about anyone.

I really find the Archbishop of Canterbury fascinating, well-read, not pompous in anyway at all. Infact humility is the description I would use. An extremely intelligent, wise & genuinely honest man (quite frightening and, one would understand why I said that if you listen to all the conversations they had) and yet quite witty. I love his explanation of the Scripture Romans that Alistair Campbell mentioned that his sister read that morning and then asked him to expand on, and his explanation of God's love for all humans regardless whether you are an atheist or not with other examples is telling. I love and have deep respect for him.

God created man and woman to come together to bring about mankind. JW either does not know the Scriptures or has decided to use his own ideas. I only watched halfway through but it's an interesting interview with both interviewer and interviewee being as honest as possible with their questions and answers. However, it's interesting how Justin Welby addressed the questions intellectually (rather than from the heart) on the whole, avoids some questions and actually contradicts himself a couple of times ('I'm going to heaven' vs 'Deciding whether someone goes to heaven or not is above my paygrade'). It's obvious that he doesn't understand how it all works, but at least he admits so, and his heart is in a good place.

I've seen that said about aliens and for me that is more terrifying. What you're saying isn't a matter of God or no God. It's more a matter of what happens when you die because the truth of the matter is that none of the thousands of Gods throughout human history have ever had any impact on the earth aside from human believing. You're just worried about if you'll meet some sort of God after death or if you'll fade into black, the latter being more realistic. You have issues with dealing with death. I'd suggest you come to terms with it as it happens to us all
