Came over from Samurai Carpenters page.. Subscribed last night! Love your axes. your craftsmanship appears to be excellent! I am also a Wranglerstar fan so I hope to see Cody swinging one of these when he gets back from the Boston Marathon! Also love your music selections in your videos! Thanks for sharing your crafstmanship!
The video is really good but I had some trouble with the audio. The music is that too loud for me when you are speaking! Otherwise you make really nice axes :)
Music is a beautiful addition. Cutting the wood in the rain tops it off. Beautiful video. Makes me a little ashamed of my current status in life. Men are meant for greatness.
I've had my 2.25# Camp for a little over a year now. Best axe I've ever owned or used. Nothing even comes close. A true piece of American craftsmanship young man.
Man, your work is stunning. I'd love to have a Damascus version of your camp axe. The flamed maple looking handle looks amazing. Maybe one of these days.
Your videos and knowledge are inspiring dude! I just started (literally, 3 hrs ago) watching your videos. I'm a woodworker, 3rd generation. Working in the same shop on the same 3.5 acres my grandfather built on the st John's river. I'm not bragging at all, the quest for knowledge has no finish line. To rekindle the flame, the passion, IMHO, can only be done by someone just as in love with same thing!
I have an old mustad ox which is a very similar shape and weight to your farm axe. Man is that thing a joy to swing and split with. I look forward to owning some of your work soon. Rob - Australia
Have you ever thought about making axes for timbersports competitions? I know theres a lot of specifications for making them but most of the ones ive seen are from over seas. And id definitely prefer to buy American if it were me
The sounds of wood being chopped is always a wonderful thing. But to see how little force you were swinging the axes, speaks volumes about the quality of every single detail that you have poured everything you have into creating the best damn axe in America! Job well done sir! I would say that it would've been perfect timing for a "mic drop"-- I mean axe drop but the axes are to nice for that
I've always been impressed with your work! Blacksmithing has always fascinated me. If you ever plan on making a documentary, I'd be happy to do the voiceover for it since I'm no good at blacksmithing 😂
Came over from Wranglerstar nice work.I work in the woods all of my life how would one purchase a double bit ax of yours thanks so munch for you sharing your talent
Another one from the Samurai's page but after going through most of your videos and the forged in fire episode I would love to see your axes beside gransfor or wetterling axes. I don't think there are any comparisons out there at all but I'm sure your axes could stand beside those and with video evidence I'm sure it would also be a major selling point! Again, good work man!
Did Dave Canterbury do an interview with you some time ago? I am putting the hint in with the wife to get one of your double bit camp axes. Very nice! Good work!
Love the fit and functional-ergonomics of the handle shape, edge-geometry, and weight. Wish I could afford that farm-axe right now! :) Your axes are TOPS ON MY LIST. Wranglerstar was 100% coorrect in his assessment. You make an awesome product!
You should try making a few axe handles out of either that black birch or yellow birch if you have it. Both have about as good or better shock resistance than ash
i have seen many videos of yours and you do some very solid work. im sorry that this may be a rude question to ask but how much would a camp axe like that run?
heard about you from Cody from Wranglestar when he unveiled your axe. Have you made a splitting maul yet? I'd sure like to see whet you'd come up with.
Who are the five grouches who hit the "thumbs down" button on this vid?? Liam, my oldest son & I were routing for you on your FIF episode, so bravo there...and my hat's off to you for deciding to make/sell axes - I'm sure you found that the handmade knife market is absolutely flooded, but almost nobody in the U.S. makes boutique axes. You're a triple threat; smart, talented, & very much like myself, boy-band hot. BTW, the knives you do make, holy crap dude, they're on par with the best in the world, like, guys who have twice as much experience as you are old. So, a question, why do you favor the double bit hatchet? I can't stand double bit axes/hatchets...I just always want that poll, & if I may expose myself as anything less than fearless, it strikes me as dangerous to have another super sharp edge to contend with on my backswing - what say you? Lastly Liam, since you & I are now practically best friends, I'll thank you in advance for agreeing to grant me a singular "cutsies" pass to the front of your production line...I'm going to need both of the axes you feature in this video (a camp & a farm axe), as well as a hatchet - and my hatchet needs to be one them special ones with an exotic hardwood handle & maybe a crazy San Mai head....I mean listen bro, if you want me to use your axes, they've got to beat out my Helko Traditionals. OK, well, I guess I'll shoot you an email with my shipping info, so you know where to send my finished axes - thanks again, with both "thanks" being in advance of you actually doing anything for me, so I think I'm being pretty generous with my thank you's, which you're welcome for - Your BFF, Scott Sherman
If you really want to put your axes through their paces you should send one to Steven Edholm of skillcult, he really knows how to use an axe and he cuts all of his own firewood by hand with an axe, he even does a "cordwood challenge" where he cuts an entire cord of wood with an axe and others do the same along with him. He puts out some pretty critical ax review videos, I feel like if there was anything wrong with your axes that he would find it and let you know about it. You two could potentially design that perfect axe for heavy users....Not that yours aren't perfect, but every craftsman can improve on their craft.
If I had to bend over and bend my knees that much to swing my axe into a log I’d buy a longer handle or get a taller log 🪵 kids got a decent swing though.
Just found your channel and subscribed. Great demo video of your axes, they're super nice! Hopefully I can gather the money for the camp axe, soon. I'll visit the channel often. ....13
I wish i can afford one of your axe now i got carjacked in run over with my own car. Is going to take a year for my recovery but i hope a soon i going back to work i will put money away to buy one love your videos
You were born 150 years too late. You would have no difficulty building your new shop out of hand cut logs. It was difficult to hear you speaking at times, but I loved the music.
That camp axe really caught me off guard. The penetration is unbelievable.
Down the road not far from you. Keep up the great work, making NC proud!!!

Jordan Hall I wonder if o sent you a reply you’d stop spamming
Technique is as important, if not more important than the quality of the tool. Your axes and technique are awesome! KEEP DEFINING YOUR LEGACY!
Music is a beautiful addition. Cutting the wood in the rain tops it off. Beautiful video. Makes me a little ashamed of my current status in life. Men are meant for greatness.
found out about you from wranglerstar
nice tools
found out about you from Buckin Billy
Your axes and axemanship are outstanding! great video Liam. ☺
I've had my 2.25# Camp for a little over a year now. Best axe I've ever owned or used. Nothing even comes close. A true piece of American craftsmanship young man.
Liam, have Buckin Billy teach you his famous splitting wood leg kick.
how useful is that double bit hatchet? i'd imagine it'd be pretty impractical since you cant choke up on it as far and batonning is inefficient
Man, your work is stunning. I'd love to have a Damascus version of your camp axe. The flamed maple looking handle looks amazing. Maybe one of these days.

Impressive doesn't even touch what you have just shown us. Outstanding work Liam.
Mate that is some spot on axe blows. Not sure I've seen such accurate chopping. Nice work and great axes. Cheers
Nice Axes! I love that you have been uploading more videos lately, keep it going and greetings from The Netherlands!

That Hoffman Farm Axe is a beast! Camp axe is a sleeper, very nice! You can handle them as well Liam. I need to get one of these axes, asap.

Wow! That Farm axe is very impressive. Great job! Impressed with your craft.

Bro, just found your channel today. Absolutely incredible craftsmanship, I hope to own one of your axes one day. Also, excellent selection of music
You make some beautiful axes. I will buy one some day to support a high end American made product.
That farm axe is a BEAST!
Great channel. I like your videos, and your boots. Happy Holidays to you from Canada
Dude, you make some impressive stuff! This was fun to watch!
I was sold on the camp axe on the third hit. Impressive.
Great videos! Why is chopping wood so satisfying? I can spend all afternoon splitting wood and then making kindling while camping.
Those axes performed great man! Keep up the good work.
Very nice tools. Well done. Jesse will be happy.
camp axe has the best bite I have ever seen. holy cow!
Hi Liam, what a beast of an axe that farm axe is congrats on such an outstanding job god bless from Australia

Editing tip... lower or stop music on parts where you’re talking/explaining.
your aim is phenomenal! keep it up
Found you from the Samurai Carpenter channel .......Great work!
John Ketcham same here
Awesome axe's , great technique on your swings.
your small double bit axe looks amazing
i want that hatchet lol seems like a nice upgrade from my GB wildlife
Beautiful axes!! When you can find an axe that will throw chips that size, you have found gold!!
Where do you acquire your Hickory for your Hickory handles? Big fan by the way!
"I'm sure you guys are gonna wanna see how this axe splits" *swings axe* .....*woods explode like dynamite was blowing it apart from the inside*
Those are some beautiful axes.
That farm axe... i would give anything for that beautiful tool
i have seen many videos of yours and you do some very solid work. im sorry that this may be a rude question to ask but how much would a camp axe like that run?
looks like they cut like a dream lucky samuraï!! i hope wrangler star ill get in touch with u!! keep the dream alive bro!
Would you make the handle on the farm axe a little thicker if it was put to an order
heard about you from Cody from Wranglestar when he unveiled your axe.
Have you made a splitting maul yet? I'd sure like to see whet you'd come up with.
Liam, is this video also a sneak peek into the new shop? If so, I'd say there's a bit more room than your homestead shop!
Ryan Egerter was
Diggin that Farm Axe for sure!

Obscenely efficient.
Going to make a cruiser double bit? I figure it you make a high hrc axe that's tough you'll greatly increase sales
Awesome! When did you make your first axe?
How much are your designs inspired by Gränsfors axes? They look pretty dark similar to me
Very impressive performance!!
You would kill it at a carnival. Beautiful grantsmanship!
Great vid. Awesome axes!!
are you not taking orders right now . I went to your web site and it kept saying url not found
This terrain looks similar to mine if I'm seeing that rhododendron correctly. You in NC perhaps?
Nice axe and work
Rain in the western NC mountains? Shocking!
Nice looking axes, but no need to chop on the top of the log like that. Get up close, move your feet and chop a notch on either side.
Great job there...👋 keep up the good work ... Peace be with you friend...
Liam excellent work. You are a champion
WOW nice work how much are they????

Out of curiosity how much do your axes run
Love watching those chips come off.
What song was used in the video?
fucking impressive young man
it's quite odd how you switch hands when your bucking. just an observation
I do the same thing. Its good to practice both ways. For me it's more efficient and it makes it easier to get even notches for me.
If I had to bend over and bend my knees that much to swing my axe into a log I’d buy a longer handle or get a taller log 🪵 kids got a decent swing though.
The best axes I’ve ever seen, but I don’t need to go bankrupt
سلام من از ایران هستم ....یک تبر 1kgمیخواهم؟؟؟
THEY ARE BEAST
Just found your channel and subscribed. Great demo video of your axes, they're super nice! Hopefully I can gather the money for the camp axe, soon.
I'll visit the channel often.

You should make an axe for Skillcult
where is your draw knife?
I wish i can afford one of your axe now i got carjacked in run over with my own car. Is going to take a year for my recovery but i hope a soon i going back to work i will put money away to buy one love your videos
Song?
You were born 150 years too late. You would have no difficulty building your new shop out of hand cut logs. It was difficult to hear you speaking at times, but I loved the music.
Making chips for sale to the OSB industry?
Chop the music...
Beautiful axes.
You would do better to stand on the log and chop from each side. Cant see that beating a serious chopping axe like a Tuatahi.
You look familiar. were you on forged in fire by chance?
Dana R yes he was
thank you
Greataxe great technique
I swear I saw you in forged in fire
so i could have heard you better if you had turned down the music by alot
Ten out of ten
That farm axe is a Hoss!
love it!!
def not our type of birch here, looks like our balsam , bush weed..
Tyler Witty that is black birch. Most people know birch as the paper barks and the silvers
