That'll be caused by mobs being too far from you when they de-aggro the pet. Try going a bit closer, probably either you're slightly further away or your pet was.
Great vid fella, one quick question tho, could you do this at say level 38 and xp at the same time? or are the mobs too high level? My hunter is parked at 32 atm, but waiting till we get 100% boost tomorrow (EU servers) and this looks like a nice chance to do 2 birds with 1 stone kind of thing.
Cheers. I think the main problem will be that since they are 44/45, your explosive traps/shots will resist a lot. It won't affect the frost traps so the kite should be fine, and I've done the pulls with lower level pets (to level the pets) but if you're lower than 40 I think the big issue will be your dps will just be really low because of stuff resisting.
Foobar im doing the farm but alote of times the mobs are droping aggro when i pull on first and second pull sometimes first pull half mobs will come and half will drop aggro any reason ?
It's most likely from them being too far from you when they switch from pet to you. Since we're out of a dungeon we have normal leash mechanics, so you have around 15 seconds from when a mob aggros to when it will de-aggro (assuming you don't hit it). If you aggro with pet, then when it de-aggros your pet after 15 seconds (or when pet dies/despawns), it will go on to the hunter if you're close enough, which is a little longer range than the pet despawn range. If it deaggros too far away, it will go back to its spawn. Just have to make sure you don't dally too long on the pulls and end them close enough to you. Also, if only a few miss and your pet despawns rather than dies, you can collect them with your pet like I do in the first puill.
Heh cheers, will def be more at 60 (and 50, and 40 :D) This one I discovered by going around on my wotlk lvl80 character trying to find places where I could jump up and have mobs path long way. There's this plank and the railing on the boat, but the boat railing is a pixel-perfect jump so this is easier :)
Near the mountains on the north side of the beach, there are areas with no mobs that are ideal for kiting. Most of the time I'm able to do it without clearing turtles, but if they are in the way they can be killed there. Even though they are high level, for some reason they seem to have a smaller aggro range than normal.
I've been getting like 100g/hr, but that's over a kinda small sample size (~3-4hr) and I've been pretty lucky. It's very good though, especially the opening of the treasure. If you can get cheap maps/fragments off AH def do that too!
Yeah, it's just been a bit nasty for me just really recently since frostadamus made a vid on it so everyone is doing it atm, was so sweet when not many people knew about it though!

Also not sure if it's still so viable, but I was having great success getting the map frags off AH for like 1g each a week or so ago, making it super profitable to just buy them up and open heaps of chests. They went up to 3-4g each just a few days ago though :(

Not at all! And even if you don't have enchanting on the hunter, you can just make a level 5 alt and give it enchanting. In classic, anything can be DE'd with 1 enchanting skill. All the greens are BoE so can mail them across no issues.
It's quite crazy to see people farming Tanaris without xp. 99% of players are happy to be done with this place, even if they enjoy it, the zone offers very little besides noggenfogger and ofc, timewalking dungeons connector zone. About it. Interesting that level 40s are farming the zone, thinking about it, no one in there right mind would cap their xp or level, granted not a thing in classic, but if it was, no one would do it. So being forced like this with sod is interesting. Biggest problem with sod is it's 6 months of content aprox, then all wiped. Wotlk classic is still meta :P Got a 40 rogue and pal, worked on alts, then reality hit me, reality hit me during the leveling, but ultimately this sod is wasted time unless rushed, experienced, then move on, even then can live without it :P
I mean, I play WOTLK classic too, and in that I'm capped at 80. In TBC I was capped at 70. Not really much difference between that and being different levels each phase.

Of course, the last time I did this an enemy hunter just corpse-camped me for half an hour, wasn't even trying to farm he'd just sit there in shadowmeld and kill me. Guess I have a fan XD
