This is such a great plane! Lots of fun and super precise and cuts thru wind so well! Proof of its precision is the dandelion decapitation shot we did, seriously did it on the first try. You guys are gonna LOVE this one :) ~HH camera guy

Maiden flight was today, and it was awesome, perfect for the park on 2s 300mah smooth and easy to fly just the right size and speed, and easy transportation with the wing off. RC Winged OutLaw approved 💯 very nice job E-flite !!!

Ya me to. The full size on a 4c batt can stay up for 45min. But kind of need this one 2

After more than 5 years, my Conscendo Advance finally burnt out its esc this year, happened mid air, quite high up, after who knows how many total flying hours, likely well over 1000, and since it lost all power mid air, it still triggered fail safe to some extent, but ultimately came down hard and the crash killed the motor and receiver when the plane crashed, so it was a loss. At that point of course the yellow Evolution was out and it still is, I've been considering picking one up since I loved the plane so much, and now you guys do this.
I don't think you're going to be able to keep these in stock if I'm being honest, the fact that it's as powerful as my old advance was, still running on 3s while being practically less than half the size, I mean you can tell from the video, that's a rocket ship of a plane, and if it's anywhere near as locked in as the full size one, that is a dream come true. I just hope it doesn't have propeller spinner longevity issues, I already like what I'm seeing with the nuts on the pins, but on my advance I had to use some metal wire to reinforce the spinner to keep it from braking apart after like 2 months of flying. I hope scaling it down means the plastic holds up better, but regardless, I'm sure I'll find a way to bullet proof it if it's got any issues, this is looking like another must have E-flite.

Horizon/E-flite have really stepped up their UMX game lately and I'm here for it. The little Air Tractor is one of the best small planes I've ever flown, I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Waco in Australia and now this little beauty will definitely have to find its way into my hangar as well at some point. Really loving these releases, guys, keep them coming. 😎👍

yeah i just ordered one, i like my micro radian but its just too light for a lot of days. this thing is a lot heavier for its size and should slice through a lot easier.

Some of us who know how to navigate UA-cam would like to go straight to the point vs. video after video after video after video.

They will release all of the Umx planes and re releases before they drop a highly anticipated new plane.
From all the BNF planes, this is my favorite. It can go slow, fast, do aerobatics, even thermals. It does it all. And it’s small, so it’s easy to transport. The perfect plane for me.

Not sure what you're talking about...we're still shipping lots of products to lots of dealers in Canada (and the rest of the world too)! @@HorizonHobbyProducts according to my hobby local hobby store ABC Hobby in Kelowna British Columbia. As well as other hobby stores . They are having a hard time receiving products from you guys they said as well as the rest of Canada I pre-ordered the UMX turbo timburr evolution and I got it 6 months later. Call the hobby stores that I've contacted are not happy with the way you guys are shipping and distributing Horizon Hobby products. So they will not order from you guys anymore that's pretty much counted the wide. What are you guys doing wrong to make everybody in Canada not by your products

@@HorizonHobbyProducts Thanks , From my observations as an RC enthusiast , And regarding all new releases , Canada has had immediate availability as soon as everyone else . You might need to shop around , but several reputable stores , as well as Great Hobbies , whom are excellent to deal with BTW, have had some of the very first shipments .
The only drawback in Canada right now is current conversion rate , which is totally out of your control .

@@jamesturncliff5960 we updated our backend systems a few months ago and there were some issues filling orders in the US and Canada, but most of those issues have since been resolved. Many reputable Canadian dealers, including Great Hobbies (the largest in Canada), are ordering and receiving products from us without any issues!

Horizon hobby tell me there is a way to manually disconnect as3x. It's garbage. Especially when you use the linear servos. I just bought my 2nd umx conscendo, AND BOTH OF THEM BOTH, have fluttering servos. PLEASE tell me how to get rid of as3x.
AS3X has proven to work in MILLIONS of airplanes, including in many thousands of UMX Conscendos, without any issues. You cannot turn it off, and yes, the servos will move whenever the airplane is moved and not flying once AS3X is initialized. They will only move as/when necessary during flight to counteract the affects of turbulence. And when you move the control stick any amount in any direction you will be in complete control. AS3X simply smooths the airplane out automatically, like shocks on a car, and does not limit your control in any way. The airplane would bounce around more and feel less precise with AS3X turned off.

Have you flown it on 2s? Mine won't respond to throttle on a 2s at 8.1v ... but fine on a 3s. Telemetry also reports 2.66v/cell on the 2s - as if it thinks it's a 3s that's very low (8v/3=2.66v) - any thoughts?
We did find a bug in the original production version firmware that caused the receiver/ESC control unit to not run the motor at all when a 2S battery is connected. We ended up reprogramming all of the control units with a new version of firmware to correct this, but it's possible a few airplanes and replacement control units that don't have the new version firmware slipped through. If you'd like to use 2S we will need to send you a replacement control unit because you won't be able to reprogram it yourself (it requires a special programmer and interface). Other than that everything will work perfectly with 3S though (so there's no need to replace the control unit if you don't plan on using 2S)!

Man I want this so bad! Can I use the Specrtum DXS RTF transmitter with this. I’ve read you can but can’t enable SAFE. I’m thinking you can but can’t enable SAFE and flapperons at the same time, it’s either one or the other. Is this correct?
I would not, just buy a DX6 and you can connect it with all Eflite planes 👍
Is this plane supposed to go on an upward climb at almost like a 60 degree angle when you have it at 50% throttle? If I do a full throttle pass in safe mode it will try to loop at much as it can with SAFE on. I have to literally hold the elevator down to make it fly straight. When you went 100% on throttle do you use the transmitter to nose down all the way?
No, what you describe is not normal. And it likely means your CG is off and/or (more likely) the elevator is not mechanically trimmed to level/neutral. Center the elevator trim and stick on your transmitter then power on the airplane and make sure SAFE is turned OFF. You CANNOT check surfaces for proper level/neutral with SAFE on. If the elevator is angled upward at all relative to the stabilizer then you need to remove the ball link and adjust the linkage so the elevator is level/neutral with the stabilizer when the elevator trim and stick are centered. After that the airplane should only require minimal elevator trim to fly level with SAFE off. And when SAFE is on it should descend slightly with no power, maintain altitude around 40-60% power, and climb at ~20 degrees with full throttle.
To charge the battery do you half to have the adapter to fit the smart chargers ? or how does that work ? Thanks !
You don't have to aquire the smart charger. I just use a converter cable and charge with my trusty old charger. However, I have come to realize after buying so much wire and different battery adapters it equated to just purchasing a smart charger, which they now have some really inexpensive ones. 🫤
Hi, I have a question, I purchased this model today but I noticed that in the package there is no adhesive velcro to attach the battery to the model (in addition to the belt which is already in the plane)
I noticed that with the belt alone the battery moves, did you put self-adhesive velcro under the battery to secure it?

The belt/strap alone will hold the battery securely in the model during flight, but it doesn't hurt to add some adhesive backed hook and loop material in the fuselage and on the battery to keep it from sliding forward/backward!
Another question, I read that when the light is blue on the model the mode is SAFE, while with red light the mode is AS3X.
The thing I noticed is that when the model is in SAFE mode, the control surfaces move quickly and noticeably, while in AS3X mode you can hear the noise but they don't seem to move (unless you they move very little) is this normal in your experience? Thanks for your answer.
Yes, this is normal. AS3X makes minimal movements to help keep the airplane smooth and stable when flown in the wind without hindering your control (like shocks on a car). SAFE constantly works to level the airplane as quickly as programmed so the surfaces will always move noticeably if the airplane is not level.

Please please develop a decent mini servo and stop using the linear ones. The only micro or UMX that has them that I have never had an issue with is the night Vapor and it still costs almost as much as this bird! This looks like a fun plane but geez after what 13-14 years and can’t come up with a rock solid tiny durable normal servo?? (BTW, Night Vapor is the greatest plane you all have ever made….but why oh why is it still so expensive???)
Even though some electronic component costs have gone down over the years, most others (especially chips) have gone up, as have material and especially labor costs (Vapors are more labor intensive to build than even the Conscendo). Expecting anything to cost less now than it did before is not really reasonable...not to mention the BNF Basic Vapor is $50 less than the Conscendo which means it's 2/3 the cost :) And we continue to improve the design, function and reliability of linear servos because they are lighter, lower profile and more durable than similar class rotary servos.
@@HorizonHobbyProducts Thank you for the prompt and informative reply. All good and valid points. But the Basic Vapor is not a good comparison to the Night version, though I see your point. And of course everything is more expensive. Fully agree there! Now with 2 grandkids, I want to bring them into the hobby and Horizon Hobby family with their own Night Vapors! If you want to join this hobby I would recommend buying a DX6, then you can buy any BNF you want and you have one Transmitter for every plane of yours. 👍
