    It's labeled "Tournament Ranges", but no antes are shown in the quiz. Are the ranges intended for when there are antes?

    Very interesting video ben! Do you ever use a rng to close to preflop frequency or do you use explotive reads instead? I mainly play cg 6max nl100 and I only have a flatting range on the BTN and BB ofc I flat from SB or other postions when there is fish behind me or regs that have a low sqz. So I wonder if only having a flatting range i BTN and BB is a thing in full ring(8-9max) MTTs?

    Hi Ben..It's always nice to see you in action; any questions..this tool is set up with the ranges of raiseyouredge's MTT masterclass package? here we have an openraise of about 27% from HJ? also do you think I should finish the course first and then practice with these quizzes or should I do it at the same time? and more ... how do the answers to the quizzes change if the oppo range is tighter or looser? is it possible to choose the oppo range in the tool? could you explain me exactly what I will learn if I train with these quizzes? ty ... of couse you are the best !!

    Thanks for this study session, will you make a similar one based on 6-max someday ?

    • @arsendavtyan6775
      @arsendavtyan6775 4 роки тому +1

      There will be no difference, since HJ is still there :) 6 max is LJ, HJ, CO, BU, SB, BB

    • @RaiseYourEdge
      @RaiseYourEdge  4 роки тому +1

      Like Arsen says, same idea applies for 6-max. UTG in 6-max is somewhat similar as MP in 9-max. It's slightly different due to there being less antes

    Hi Ben, I have a question for you. I remember that some years ago people used to 3bet less than 3x OOP. Why do people choose a bigger size nowadays, as they did about a decade ago? I've noticed this tendency and I'm really curious about that

    • @dane2313198
      @dane2313198 4 роки тому

      I think CG players realised this when they ran 100bb preflop sims and the solver chose the bigger size often when OOP. When the 3better is IP for example the 3bet is still really small like 3-3.5x because we wanna force the opponent to play OOP or 4bet, if 3bet with a smaller size IP we can usally call more 4bets because we IP and the 4bet will be smaller.

    • @Smokopious
      @Smokopious 4 роки тому

      In my humble understanding, you want to be playing oop less often, so leaning towards giving opponent unfavorable odds is +ev. You want the fold more often.

    • @davidepiccolo4556
      @davidepiccolo4556 4 роки тому

      Thank you for your answers guys, but my question wasn't clear. I know that people have always chosen a bigger size OOP, but I don't understand why these different sizes have become smaller than the last few years. For example, around 2015 people used to 3bet 2.2x IP and 2.7x OOP. Why do people 3bet about 3x IP and 3.5x OOP nowadays? I remember that this sizing was common about a decade ago...

    8:52 Somebody explain me why KJs is never a 3bet and K9s like all the time?

    • @mattyjayj
      @mattyjayj 4 роки тому +2

      One aspect of it is that 3betting folds out hands that dominate us like K10o, KJo, A9o etc which HJ should be opening but folding to a 3bet, and when called still has good playability. On the flip side flatting KJs keeps in villain’s K9s, QJo and other hands that we dominate. You have to draw the line between 3betting and flatting somewhere otherwise your 3betting range will be way too wide and susceptible to 4bets.
