Im probably gonna travel up to MT/WY pretty soon, but I don’t have “bear gun.” Might sound dumb but I’m curious what round you’d pick for a 9mm if that’s your backup to bear spray in bear country. I always have bear spray anyway, and I don’t do any crazy hiking or high risk activities, so I can’t justify buying a 10mm or anything right now 🤣
In the past year I've been to the range twice in the rain, and both times three of our officer's red dots were affected by the rain and projected multiple dots. My agency is now transitioning to enclosed emitter Holosun 509t's. Open emitters don't belong on duty guns. Concealed carry is fine, I carry a Holosun 507 on my off duty Glock 19.
Ive had multiple open emitter red dots be affected by rain also. They still worked but water in the emitter caused the reticle to split into multiple dots.
I'd never buy any Holosun with the "Holosun K" footprint. They really shot themselves in the foot by making a modified version of what everyone else is using (Shield RMSC pattern) the whole reason I bought a 508 T was because it uses the most common fullsize print (RMR) so I don't have to use plates. Want to get an optic for my Canik TP9 Elite SC, was going to go EPS Carry but then I either need a plate (additional failure point and raises the optic) or i have to send it off to get it remilled. Gonna just throw on a RomeoX compact instead, as it'll direct mount.

Point is I think the pinnacle of fighting rifle tech and optics was 2000’s-2015’sh. The only thing I know that has gotten much better has been flashlight technology. With that exception I’m still a big fan of T1’s, RMR’s, 4x erector scopes, 1913 quad rails, 20” barrels, baffles in suppressors, and carbine length gas systems. They just work, and they are bomb proof. My hands don’t kiss gasblocks through Mlock either as a big bonus.

Thanks for the video, I have a question for you. I’m looking to purchase a Wilson Combat SFX9 with a 3.25 inch barrel it’s cut for an RMR so I know the RCR will work, but the place sells an acro P2 plate so I can put on an Aimpoint acro P2 if I choose too as well! I don’t have any experience with the RCR or looking at it on a pistol in person, so which one should I go with or which one would you recommend? Keep in mind the size of the pistol.
I ran into a problem with mounting the RCR last year on a Glock slide that I had cut for an RMR. The company that did the work (Reformed Weapontry) tapped the mounting holes for a #6-48 thread pitch and believe Trujicon uses #6-32 screws. Just something to double check before hand.
Thanks for another great video! I’m still to find a pistol where one of those mail boxes will look good on… the first company that comes up with a good looking enclosed red dot will make billions! (More like thousands)
The included capstan screws are too short to mount to the S&W MP CORE. The longer screws are 7 bucks each plus shipping and took almost 3 weeks to get. Plan accordingly.
