What’s the width? The Holosun K light looks promising also
Excellent comparison and review. Jon at FocusTripp needs to drop one of these on some ar500 plate.
Thanks Man!!!
What is crazy is that my tlr1 hl is way whiter than my olights and this Sig is insane
No, grifter.
@@Thatguy11351 who's grifting here?...
Why do you make me spend money
Right! Like seriously! Lol 😂
Others have said it but I’ll say it again, Mike has the best flashlight reviews that are super consistent and it’s important when doing things like flashlights/cans to have a consistent baseline. 👏🏻
I’m sure finding holsters will be fun.
😢
Werkz
they're out there
Yep. I got a holster for foxtrot 2, and it took years and only one vendor had one for it.
@AJ-xc4nm
Blackpoint tactical makes a ton of holsters for this light, and werx makes a couple too
The TLR7A/sub is going to be hard to beat.
Depends. The 2R throws light like the TLR1-HL but doesn’t have the spill the 7A does. Depends on what the user wants. I swapped the 7A for the 2R on my XTEN Comp.
the problem is there are almost no decent holsters for this light.
The Sig clearly blows the TLR 7 out of the water
@@connormccormack5819 The 2R seems promising, but we will have to see how it holds up long-term.
@@AJ-xc4nmjust give it a few months or contact Trex Arms or T1C. The more people that ask for it, the quicker they will make one
Fantastic light. The TLR 7 has finally been dethroned! Also, it's a perfect fit on an M&P with 4" or 4.25" barrel. Not many holsters out there for it though. Safariland (Incog X) is about the only one I've found that has if for non-Sig models.
I still think the TLR7 is sufficient for most concealed carry situations.
That being said I personally would go for the higher candela options.
I’m not getting rid of my TLR7s though.
Ditto
Foxtrot 2r destroys it in every category except for looks and it having less “ready to ship” holsters available. I decided to go for the better performance and I don’t regret it at all! Everyone I know that has switched from a TLR7 to Foxtrot2r have been glad they did. Definitely worth checking out!
Thanks for the video. I picked up a foxtrot 2r for my 320 m18. I particularly like the small size and high output of the light. I have an appendix and OWB kydex that accommodates the light. Feels well balanced and easy to manipulate.
I looked around and this literally appears to be sold out everywhere. OP has a 6 month backorder, for example. After digging, I found out that they are readily available on Sig's website for a buck fiddy in case anyone is looking for one.
Love Werkz holsters. Thanks for all your reviews, updates, and the Daily Deals emails!
Sig lights have been the actual worst light. Go streamlight 7a or 7 sub. My sig couldn’t stay on during recoil at all. Sent it back twice never could fix it.
I hope you and that neighbor across the water have a good report hahah
Not a compact light if it's passed the muzzle lol , the tlr 7 is the only compact light here , not a very good comparison.
people should keep in mind rechargeable batteries have a significant battery capacity drop. mah rating is a thing for disposables and should be kept in mind.
PS TLR 7 is my home defense light and always use something else with more power for outside.
too bad you will have to use an Uncle Mike's soft holster to carry it. The support offered to TLR is hard to beat
I don’t think it was mentioned in the video, but the function of the light, in terms of constant versus momentary as it relates to the switches is programmable with a tap system.
Will this work with the 43x MOS?
Amazing light. Beats the TLR7A/Flex in every category. OOS across the internet for months. Seems like Sig isn’t pumping them out in high numbers.
20,000 Candela Is Crazy
Have foxtrot1. Love it. Alien holster have a holster with this light compatible
I’ve had mine since early October of last year and I love it. Fantastic light for my Xmacro
Based upon this particular review I just ordered one directly from SIG. Many thanks !
The Streamlight wider hotspot is nicer for handgun light IMO
fair enough
Nice
Concur
Have you seen their new rifle light? They checked all the boxes and realesed it at the right price point. If it works as it should, its going to be a serious competitor.
Thats a cool light and I may pick one up in the future. I'll wait to see how it holds up. For now I will stick with my stiletto pro hand held and my tlr-7a.
Would love to see those drop tests.
Fires your gun even if its not a 320 😂 im just teasing
Should have been 4 Million subs by now. Thank you, Sir.
well done! hey yt I sure wish I had more info you werent blocking
You should’ve compared it to the TLR-7 HLX not the TLR-1 HL
It's absolutely ridiculous how YT seriously thinks the dumb rule of installing parts is somehow going to help anything 😂
So is there a reason to buy this over the Olight PL Valkyrie Turbo with 66k candela and 800 Lumens?
Mike reviewed the Olight some time ago and that fishing shack was lit up to the point that you can identify a person and whatever was in their hands.
Easily a great rifle light mounted at 12:00.
Great video. Great light.
I wish they offered another one with a throw lever quick mount so it could be quicker than screwing the mounting screw down.
Purchased one don’t buy cheap junk! Lots of clips and soft cheap cast metal used in light screw threading. Basically used now as a bright flashlight
Your link to buy one does not list this one.
Right….I thought it was just me.
Does this light fit on a glock19 and how is holster compatibility compared to a tlr7?
I'm skeptical of the battery life claims. RCR123s don't have a lot of energy.
fair enough
The only thing that sucks is The holster market it's so far behind on modularity ...
The link does NOT take you to the 2R. Amazon does not even have it, only the 1X 450 lumen comes up and the rest is Streamligbt, Olight, etc.
Just FYI
I can't get passed the paddles. Bought one for my Xmacro and they stuck out too much for me to easily get to the trigger. Swapped it to a compact P320 frame, and it worked out much better.
Does not fit on Beretta Centurion M9A4 rail....even sliding back the insert as far as possible the rail slots on the Beretta do not go back far enough towards trigger guard to accommodate. An odd quirky design for Berretta to have flat rail area with no slots.
Wait, so fits glock and picatinny rails... so sig made a compact weapon light that doesn’t even fit their proprietary rail on their compact handgun?
It would be interesting to see indoor lighting comparisons. I think that higher lumen/candela lights are detrimental for indoor use.
If you want to take close up pics like that rail clamp, get a macro lens around 120mm for your camera. They have a much closer focus range.
Durability and reliability? Anyone put a lot of rounds through it?
I own this light and over-All is a good light so much so i bought and extra light for back up !
thanks for the report
I bought one, spray painted it, and stuck it on my Glock.
Great review. Looks very versatile. Would be good on anything from a subcompact pistol to a full size rifle 👍
Wow! What an amazing difference between the TRL 7 and the Foxtrot 2R! Great video! ❤️
These are either extremely popular or they aren't making many of them. Don't see them in stock anywhere
I've had this light for a number of months and I really like it. I feel like it doesn't get that much attention, even from SIG (who doesn't seem to put much effort into promoting their lights).
Cool I almost bought a TLR 7A sub for my P365XL guess I will wait for this.
🔦
It is hard to take you seriously when it comes to light reviews as you were one of the guntubers who were pushing those shitty Olights onto the community years ago.
Tlr 7A >
This honestly looks like a copyright issue as well.
I can’t seem to find the foxtrot 2r in stock anywhere.
I love it. It’s what I run on my P365 AXG Legion
Any idea if this light will fit TLR 7 sub holsters ??
Nothing beats the TLR 7a....jus' sayin.
Are they compatible with tlr7 sub holsters??
Let's let that holster guy test the durability to see if it will compare to the tlr7
As much as I want to dislike them, Sig is knocking it out of the park on pistols. I'm loving the RomeoX
Optics Planet is misrepresenting MSRP.
Yeah I seen that. They are showing it 25% off and it’s $149.99 lol
Optics Planet only sells 10 round mags so
Agreed, the Sig is a bit brighter
Might have to snag a couple of these for my wife's Sig Rose and my P365XL Spectre Comp. The only issue is it always seems holster makers only make holsters for the more popular lights. Awesome review as always Mike! Thanks!
You're welcome 👍🏽
Word is getting out. The foxtrot 2r is a excellent little light. It's still kind of new, as their popularity grows the holsters will come.

I like pizza
❤ 🍕Do you like toppings, or just cheese and sauce?
I’m so over the always on quick tap that the light industry has started to push.
Glad this one isn’t implementing that.
I want quick tap temporary on, now if we could only get more compact lights to be that way it would be really great.
thanks for the report
🤝
Why does he keep saying human eye? 😂😅
8/2024-Any idea of where to find one in stock? Sig site has been out of stock for a while, no one else shows inventory either!
@storriesmith sig site has them back in stock as of date of this post
Bro, calm down with the erratic sweeps showing the hotspots. Love your videos but that drove me crazy. Slow down a bit lol...
Duly noted
Great comparison video. I like the short and long range beam comparison.
I didnt prefer the 2r til u got far out
OK, my wife just caught me watching a video for a flashlight. She will bring this up at parties. 🎉
😂
gives you an intro to start talking guns with the dudes.
At least it’s a flashlight and not a flesh-light she will talk about.
😅
Dude! This new music is kickin'!
Tlr 6 HL just came out
Lmao that anemic light is a POS.
@@ja0298 H L
StreamLight!
Out of stock every where I look
This is supposed to be comparing the Sig with the TLR7a, why are you adding the 300, or the HL, or etc!??? Haha 😂 so full-size against compact for no reason?? Lol 😂 come on Mike!!
Maybe i missed it but how is the footprint compared to tlr7 sub? Specifically will it protrude farther than a tlr sub?
This doesn't doesn't fit p365 non macro? Anyone else think they missed the mark? Interesting though just found the foxtrot365xr. 550 lumens 17,000 candela. Wish it didn't have a grip activated switch though
@@phillipgardner3297 grab a wilson combat P365XL or standard frame, they offer them with pic rails
I’m intrigued…. Looks horrible tho!! Haha 😂 looks like it’ll break after the first drop Lol hopefully we’ll see 👍 thanks man!!
May I please ask forbthe best budget light for a 12 gauge?
🙏love the channel,
Thank you for always posting deals.
IMO Streamlight TLR-1 HL are #1 and the best for the best price. I have 6 of them myself.
$147 on Amazon....not $250 or $300 like other brands and elsewhere.
Nahhh I'll stick with my Baldr Pro R with on gun magnetic charger plus has 1350 + 300 limes and a green laser for kicks all in a compact size
Hello. Love your channel. What holster will fit with this setup? Recommendations?
I’d join mug club if it weren’t for Brian Calen or whatever the little guy who thinks he’s tough cause he hangs out with fighters but he’s not at all😂 they drop him and I’d join immediately. Next time you want people to join just forget his name when you’re naming off the list. You’ll get more people to join😂 but when it comes to pistol lights it’s hard for me to use anything except the TLR1-HL with the price and quality it’s hard to beat. Idk what the Sig light costs but at 130-140 bucks the Streamlight is hard to beat. Now it is bigger so if that’s an issue for someone than maybe the Sig is the one to choose but my holster is are light bearing for the TLR1-HL so I don’t see myself changing pistol lights anytime soon. For new buyers this is a good option though. Well depending on the cost.
Edit: 149 isn’t bad.
Nice but I'll keep my Olight. Smaller footprint and usb rechargeable.
Give me the TLR7 over the 2R any day. I’m not interested in shooting a pistol long range at night. I much prefer the Streamlight's situational awareness. The Surefire is even better yet.
Glad your using your good seein eye lol. Im Seeing reviews the mounting hardware is suspect, breaking and side bolts are stripping out. Some quality control so far. Great review as usual luv channel!
I ordered my foxtrot2 for my Sig p365 legion through Optics Planet back in January. I still haven't received it
Comparison is huge. 10:39 you would know if they were in front of the white trim on the shack, but if they were prone in the grass probably not unless they had reflective glasses or something.
Based on that, my mind is made.
We have at least 4 sig lights on pistols. Love them. Blinding!
nice
I can't find this for sale anywhere.
As of 8/29/24 Sig Sauer has these in stock on their website
Thoughts on a variable lumen pistol light. (not sure if one exists) I'd hate to hit a mirror clearing my house with that bad boy at full strength.
Usp adapter?
Which holster brand makes holsters for this light? Never seen any in drop down menus win buying holster for other popular lights.
not on amazon.
But does it have holster compatibility
Yes. I have one on my XTEN Comp, carried in a Black Point Tactical AIWB holster.
nice valuable appreciated vid! can you also do a video on optics and/or iron sights for rifle? let's say even in ranges such as "short" and "long" distance whatever that means to you. I would say short is up to 50 yards and long up to 500. I'm more interested in a short distance quick acquisition sights
The 700 lumens and 20,000 candela make it a powerhouse in a compact package. Compared to the TLR-7, TLR-1 HL, and Surefire X300U, the Foxtrot2R holds its own with a solid beam pattern
Ai generated comment, ai generated channel 😂
This may be an unpopular opinion, but sometimes bright is bright enough. No need to keep chasing the brightest lights year after year
