Yep. But probably still so's you have to remove to change batry, and you'll have to change to extra tall irons for lower 1/3 co.

Holosun 509 Primary Arms ACSS has way too much functionality to not be the best IMO
Really wish the ACRO P2 had reticle options like Holosun. The ACSS Vulcan is really what I want instead of a 3.5moa dot.

Agreed. The small form factor matches up with a SBR or PCC very well. Scalarworks, Reptilia and ADM all make Mounts now I believe so it's getting traction in that respective use.

I'm glad somebody is pushing the fully enclosed for dots. My main carry gun had an open dot and was constantly getting lint and dust on the inside of the lens that would cause the actual dot to go fuzzy on the lens. I had others double check that it wasn't me. It was impossible to clean. So looks don't really matter to me. I'd buy this if I still had that gun or a gun with an optic cut. After the pain in the butt that dot ended up being, I just went back to my irons until I found a better solution. I'm getting hopefully with these.
Get a pack of cotton swabs to clean the lens and emitter once a week. Takes 15 seconds to make as good as new.
Same here. Back sides hard to clean. HS 507K that way. But I'm not sure I ever really look through the glass, but only on the dot. Can totally block out the front and still see dot and shoot just fine with both eye open.
A red dot has ZERO advantage over a good set of tritium night sights---you should have figured that out by now.

If you watch the portion of the review where he is looking through it from the rear you'll notice that you can actually use the inside if the enclosure, i.e. the tube, like the circle from the ACSS Vulcan. I noticed that portion of the reticle was somewhat redundant the first time I looked through it when my vulcan 509T was delivered.

Does the extremely high weight affect reliability on pistols?
Put a few thousand rounds through my G19 with a P2 on top. Zero issues.
Just realized the last video I watched on MAC channel said weight was much higher…just looked up and it’s listed on Aimpoint website as only 2.1 oz. Looks much heavier tho…it’s a sick enclosed window for that weight.

@@jimziogas8978 It’s a great optic. Been carrying both the P1 and P2 since they came out. Glass clarity and construction quality vs the Holosun 509’s superior reticle (ACSS), features and price. Both are great choices I just wish Aimpoint would have got on board with the ACSS.
Doesn't matter how good it is if the consumers can't buy them, they are useless. People are too carried away with open vs closed emitters... for concealed carry, open emitter has never been a problem.

I agree with not overtly caring about looks performance and reliability is far more crucial than cosmetics, I do prefer American-made gear but I am also practical which is the reason I prefer Holosun red dots with their add bonus of the ACSS reticle which in my opinion is far superior to any other red dot manufactures, Aim point is great and time proved but Holosun is to me is the best for the money hands down.
How do u think it'd handle recoil of 10mm?

How does this compare in your opinion to the Steiner MPS?
Neither of my P2 illumination buttons are very tactile. The Steiner MPS on the other hand has the most tactile buttons I’ve ever felt.
Found it in stock for MSRP, excited to get it. Had a 509T, wondering how it’ll compare.

@@JDqs-kg5sp after using the P2 and then going back to the 509T I could definitely tell the 509 had a fisheye effect. P2 glass is clearer, but smaller window. Battery life on both is great, haven’t had issues with either of them. But the extra money is definitely worth the clarity in glass in my opinion. I don’t care for all the fancy dot options, just give me a single red dot and brightness options.

I hope the type 3 is enclosed, has clearer glass (no distortion around edges and true 1x) and no longer needs to be removed to change the battery. It would easily be king. The ACRO P2 is still a badass optic. My question is can you replace the sacrificial lenses? I don’t recall if MGnG mentioned it.

The newer EPS Carry line seems fairly decent and cuts down the overall size a bit too. Not every SKU is readily availble right now, though.

Garrett Sayger I am with you on that. I have a lot of Holosun products. I have also found out that the green Dots are far better for me. Then again not many people will down play a FREE $800.00 dollar Optic even if it's a mail box. I have seen a lot of people pushing this Optic as they get theirs for free so I am sure they really think they are worth it to them.

Some people call enclosed pistol red-dots a fad. I say *open* pistol red dots were a fad that is thankfully reaching its demise.
Red dots on any pistol is a fad and just stupid...NO advantage over a good set or tritium night sights--red dot is slower to get a sight picture, more fragile, and often shifts point of impact--NOT a problem with the former.

How accurate is the 3.5 dot at 50 and 100 yards? I’d rather it been a 2 or 2.5 MOA dot instead of 3.5

@@DinoNucci well, most active shooters won’t be right up on you, hell the last Indiana shooting proved that and he was at 40 yards then. That should prove why I need to know how the dot looks at 50 and 100 yards itself.
3.5 moa is 3.5 inches at 100 so the dot should cover 1.75 inch at 50. My Aimpoint pro blooms, making the dot appear bigger if I crank it up

If I carry an optic for CCW it's always a 6moa dot. Most carry guns these days are super slim with a 3-3.75" barrel. No need for 100 yard shots in a CCW situation... I need that big dot to pick up as quickly as possible and get to work. 2moa is just too small for CCW but it's about right for distance/comp shooting
you know what in my opinion I think red dot prices are ridiculously over priced especially Like Aimpoint it is no wonder people buy more Chinesiam knockoffs then the originals I like Aimpoint dont get me wrong i am just a poor and am cannot and see no reason to spend more on the optic the handgun itself no matter what handgun a person has
I have a Horosun on a Sig with shake awake. Sometimes it doesn't awake. Looking at getting this for a new PDP. Big gun, big optic.

My P2 went down after about 300 rounds. Front interior glass broke they sent me a replacement after about a month and it has dust and a black piece of plastic floating around inside. Will not be sending this back until I can get another one because I will be waiting for this one to come back this time.

I'm pretty disappointed with Aimpoint too over the rollout of this series. Money in hand but can't buy one. I ended up just saying screw it and bought more Trijicon RMRs and Deltapoint Pros. Sure the Acro has advantages, but it's vaporware.

I had a RMR on my G17 Gen 4, but buddy got me onto red dot pistol wagon. I see CH Precision has Acro clone for $349. I’m big fan of EPS Carry for it’s 2 moa dot and compactness.
