34 Billion in management salaries. 350 million spent on electric vehicles not yet used. 750 million on a new plant showing 750 million losses.
More than 15% has been cut from mail carrier salaries. Nothing has been cut from management and executive bonuses are guaranteed.
I can't wrap my head around a public company that thinks it's OK to keep my stuff against my will and still retain my future business? Obviously, once I get the package, they're holding hostage I'll never go back, but the assumption that this strike won't change my mind about using them again just leaves me dumbfounded. This is bad business.
Canada Post employee’s will only ruin their own Christmas.
What holidays ? Two statutory paid days off midweek in Ontario.
Then back to work Friday till New Years Day.
Be thankful, relief from the junk mail filling your mailbox.
Canada Post is an essential service in rural communities. Couriers are triple the cost and is killing small business during the make or break season. This government needs to get gone!
Won't ruin anything if it results n the Libs call ingfor an emergency legislative session to force them back to work, which would be necessary to do it, as it's acrown corporation. Jaggy Boy will have to vote against it, and that will either force an election in a non-confidence vote, or tank the NDP with every union in the country. Could very easily be a gift to the country.
I thought the holidays were about being decent to people and spending time with people we care for, not primarily presents which will only be delayed.
But still we should support small business, and be understanding of any delays in presents. Just my thoughts.
Happy Holidays.
The idiots on strike should not ruin the "holidays" unless getting presents is your primary objective.
I also think the holidays are mainly about friends and family. I am okay waiting for my gifts. But I just hope Canadians are understanding and support our businesses and the possibility shipments may be delayed.
I want this problem sorted out too, but the CP workers have lives too, so I hope they can work out a reasonable deal for both the employer and employee so we can avoid these situations.
Just my thoughts.
Hanukkah? Are you crazy?
canadian industrial relations system is broken
especially in collective bargaining in federal public sector
It'll ruin them before anything else
Nothing is good in Canada.
If someone only thinks the holiday is about receiving gifts then I guess for them maybe if all their gifts are delivered through the mail. For the majority who don't get gifts by mail...no. Christmas will go on with/without the strike. Nothing but hyperbole journalism.
Do you even realize your logic is flawed? Who said anything about “only caring about deceit gifts”?
@@p0ck3tp3ar You're a bot.
Get back to work
I hope you have a happy holidays with your family and friends. The presents will arrive sometime. I am okay waiting.
