One more side of this -
Govt. Spend so much money in health care but that doesn't reach to patients because of corrupt people in jobs...like hospital pharmacist sell lot of government medicine to medical stores .... You can notice some time the medicine you buy may have written behind it govt. Supply only.not for sale...
Hospitals gets lot of medical stuff but the staff present there also makes money from that

And about the commission we doctors are not angels some of us are also evil persons and that does not mean every doctor gets a commission and generic medicines are not effective in many cases just they are cheap and government boast about it they are famous otherwise branded medicines are best

@@namitsati5091 as a medical student I agree with you that there’s a commission but that totally depends on person to person like there are good and bad people in every profession and as long as that commission is not harming anyone it should not be a problem because they are getting medicine with better efficacy and hence better treatment if they can afford it. And about working in a remote village I don’t think if you were in their place you would choose to go there. Just see what kind of facilities are there and why would someone who has worked so hard for so many years go there where even basic human facilities like washrooms are not available. If government works on improving facilities then people will definitely go there. After all doctors are human too. They will do what profits them and get what they deserve. I don’t know why people want doctors to act like god but they treat them like thugs.

Why one doesn't prefer govt hosp., here are more reasons
    1. I would atleast expect a toilet for 18 hour shift
    2. You can rarely treat a patient(drugs not available), if you do you're a headline with lawsuit
    3. You have to entertain higher ranking govt. officials
    4. Peons/nurses(permanent jobs) don't listen well to instructions which are given precisely leading to loe fear/care for patient's health and its responsibility
    5. In case of death, you have to cycle to courts/committees while all work is pending
    6. Nobody values us in govt. hospitals. People treat like they own us because they gave 10rs
    7. Doctor's Opinion doesn't matter many times. Believe it or not when you pay good money you're going to listen to same advice seriously.
    8. Higher chances of confrontation as people have to wait long in misery, standing in hot/cold weather with their conditions(infrastructure problem)
    9. Media is against doctor. You also try to build that narrative to attract viewers. Cheap@$.

My personal experience. FYI: I have speed-watched the video and might have missed some detail
Had an accident about 2 years ago, had muscle damage on my whole left side and had 2 minor fractures in my skull I was admitted to government hospital also in the General ward. The only few things that bothered me were 1. Sanitation and hygiene (Yes, Toilets were shit in most literal sense) 2. Getting reports, like yes there are lots of queues and it takes time and it's a mess. But I think the doctors and all medical students there who treated me over the week were super nice, quite overworked but nice. As far as infrastructure is concerned, I think at least the Hospital I was in i.e. Ahmedabad civil hospital had all the infrastructure needed. But I also understand infra would be a major issue in other city's govt hospital

I thought this video would be the same old same old to garner view time & only to sell the product.... proved wrong. The ONE & ONLY video on UA-cam that's ONE IN A MILLION. My alma mater is NRS, Kolkata (one of the most subsidised healthcare in the country & govt. college providing reasonable service) - where 2 of my seniors (interns back then) were stoned & a nation wide longest protest of doctors followed, back in 2019. Even Tertiary care hospitals may not have the required medicines in the wards. Thank you so much for considering the root cause & presenting everything so clearly. Kolkata ki Garmi me OT, OPD dekhna, Emergency dekhna, PPE pehenna..... ekbar phir se sab sarthak lga bas ye ek video sunke jaha you gave a voice to the medical community, especially to young govt. doctors. Dr. Rohan voiced all of our thoughts.
We never had "as-per-protocol antibiotics" during COVID in Head injury ward back in 2020-2021. Literally the nurse would be like "this this" is available in stock & we'd have to write as per that. Age old needle holders & artery forceps jisse kaise bhi karke, alag tarah k surgical techniques use karke stitches bhi diye hai. Even state Tertiary care govt. medical colleges/hospitals can lack. Kabhi kabhi student hoke bed nahi mila toh hostel k room ko bhi dengue k samay ward me convert kiya hai. #nostalgia
So one would not even want to imagine what are the facilities available in a PHC or CHC.
Doctors bathroom k darwaze bandh nhi hote waha, someplaces doctors bathroom is half used as storage room. Jis samay us bathroom ko banaya gya tha, uska cement ka bora bhi mil jata hai kabhi kabhi bathrooms me. Public needs to understand that Govt. hospitals aren't run by Doctors. Neither is Pvt. corporates (Doctors are literally given targets by business persons). For a few bad apples, it's bizarre how they come with pitchforks against every doctor.
Security point is 101% true. It's the primary reason why many many Doctors across the country are closing down their own small clinics, nursing homes or small hospitals that's run only by Doctors. Many of them charged very reasonably & worked for the public. It won't be long until no neighbourhood clinics will remain due to fear of Mob violence. Corporates are already taking over.
Gaao me jaha proper roads nhi milegi, waha USG with a jhola chaap who knows how to differentiate sexes on a USG, wo mil jayega. Aisa haal hai desh ka. Have never commented on a non-academic video & that too sucha long one. But this touched my heart. Lots of genuine problems highlighted.
Also documentation issues - everything is files n pen n paper in State Govt. colleges. Adds to the burden. AIIMS & the centrals have digitised things which has helped make administration & accessing patient data & communication very smooth. I know this' a dream but one can wish.
Plus faulty posting. Politicians interfere. Many doctors are from Tier 2 n 3 cities or towns. Even when they want posting in the district hospital of their hometown (which is in dire need), unka transfer & posting in far off places. Instead of the hometowns or even rurals that need the doctor & where the doctors comes from.

Frustrations of the people in rural areas are real because they dont feel security around doctors. Everyone respects a doctor, even a jhola chap doctor but doctors dont respect people. They have a bad opinion about people. And you can't ask anything from a doctor "Its a rule in so many small hospitals". They are rude, abusive, and manipulative while looting from the same people. Ofcourse people have also a bad opinion, but reason is on that side too. And if you want proof, come with me, there are doctors ki "Litteraly gale padwa dunga tumhare"

In my city , You have to pay the nurses to take care of your patient. If you don't pay , they don't even come close to atleast adjust the saline levels. It is that pathetic. And let alone good treatment. I feel in todays market , if you have enough money, then only you can save your patient in good private hospital else they will probably get no treatment and may lose life in government hospital.

As I know Gov. Hospital's doctors are more experienced n their treatment is also good although facilities are not upto the level but treatment they provide private Hospital's docs can never provide...one more thing this doc didn't give any insight about what surgeons do mistake while operating Patients in OT ...they leave surgical instruments into the Patients...n this is not acceptable at any cost...ohterwise he said many things which we as a common people didn't know...so thanks Dr Rohan 👍

in my opinion the only way to tackle the healthcare problem is the development of better government hospitals and forcing the doctors to work for government hospitals for some years enforced by law .
