Just invested 6 mins watching this and am none the wiser. Something about a cleaning product, a private mobile call, etc, but I have no idea about specs, bass response, midrange, treble, any sibilance, warmth (or not) of tone, price, how it compares to the comp and who they are...I could go on..
I know it's ridiculous posting a comment 3 years late HOWEVER I just wanted to say that this is an unboxing channel. He's gonna show you what you get, but he's not going into extreme detail.
I have a pair of RS 175 and love them. also, the receiver can support 2 different head sets at a time. If your looking a 185 with a closed back design, the 175's are your best bet and slightly cheaper. Wireless headphones help so much considering you almost can't route a headphone cable.
***** No, the best i found is going on Spotify, making an artist radio with Nujabes or go to the chill section and find the "Tranquility with a beat" playlist.
I just got the RS 195 from EBay for $369 and I have them hooked up to my TV using the optical input. I have never heard such high quality sound from wireless headphones. The 50mm drivers can play up to 117db output and they have a very extended range frequency response with all the bells and whistles turned off. I use Plex media server from my TV to play my ITunes music from my computer. Most of my 24,000 song music library is cd rips(16bit 44.1khz) but there is a lot of 24bit 48khz downmixed from 24bit/96khz vinyl and 2.8 and 5.6 mhz 32&64bit DSD files. I am especially impressed with the extended base response and clean treble, the soundstage is phenomenal, the volume and dynamic range and the comfort. Wow!
I have a 10 year old pair of Sennheiser 590's and they the most comfortable headphones of all time. The velour is partially gone but it still kicks ass.
Just got these. I have Sennheiser 363D wired open backs and wanted wireless. I am so impressed with these. Love open back too because I use a mic for gaming
It's fine to have all sound devices with max sound lvls, then adjust the source (your player) to the desired, so you aren't cutting the signal down by the physical speakers, you're just sending lower signal and letting all go throught (helps to improve speakers lifetime). Im really sorry english isn't my main language and I have no idea if I wrote it ok to understand.
Comment on the BlueTooth comparison - these actually operate in the same frequency range as BT - 2400-2480Mhz. So they are a lot closer to BT than traditional analog RF 900mhz. In fact, so close that interfere with WiFi signals.
Cortlin Korman I really like them. It has a solid bass sound to them and two levels of surround (high and low). The surround sound is simulated though so there is no Dolby or DTS built into these which for me is fine, living in an apartment I can't really have a surround sound setup for my tv so having a pair of headphones like these at a decent cost is great. I keep the surround on low because the high setting has a reverberation effect to it. Wearing them for a prolonged period of time can make your ears feel warm but the fit of the headphones for me is overall comfortable. I had an old pair of 170's before that held a 20+ hour charge and these only held a 16 hour charge (which isn't bad). I bought some Panasonic Eneloop rechargable batteries to use for them and I got a few extra hours of charge out of them. The sound quality overall is great. Even if you have the volume at half way you can't hear anything (or much) outside of the headphones. Just recently we had some snowfall where I live and when I went outside to shovel the steps and the stoop I looked over and saw the driveway to the building was plowed. I didn't hear the plow guy at all plowing, same goes for the city plow. And these headphones are not noise cancelling either. At certain volume levels they drown out a lot of outside noise. Overall I am enjoying these headphones. You will have to let me know what you think when you get your pair.
I got the Energy Sistem BT8 and they are very good wireless headphones. The sould quality is awesome and the battery is very strong.I was using them for 4 days with 5 per day.To recharge it takes 1 and a half hour.
Other wireless headphones that don't suck are the RS 220, RS 180, RS 170, and the RS 120. Bluetooth headphones that don't suck are the Momentum Wireless, Chord MS530, Zik 2.0, RH1060, Air-Fi Matrix2 AF62, JayBird Sportsband, Zik, MDR-1RBT, UE9000, and the MM 450 X.
Hi! Saw you on the Joe Rogan show and typed in your channel only to discover that I had already subscribed. Now, I set the notifications to let me know any time you come out with a new video. I was looking for a bluetooth headset review when I found this one.
+Dalty D Not enough that it would wake anybody up. Open headphones can only disturb somebody in the same room as you, and even then it probably wouldn't wake them up unless you were destroying your ear drums with drum 'n' bass.
Tom Moccia Listen to some good headphones and you'll hear why. 1000 dollar headphones will give you performance that 100,000 dollar speakers can't match.
+Tom Moccia Huh, you'd think that people would be more informed by now about audio considering the beats craze and the following beats hate. Interesting.
Bravez wireless isn't right. unless it's from sennheiser. sennheiser makes the best wireless products imo. there's a reason any self respecting tv studio uses sennheisers for wireless audio.
base station = deal breaker. i guess its the tradeoff for lossless transmission. I suppose this is important if you are listening to flac/wav files tho. i would gladly tradeoff a tiny bit of quality loss from bluetooth for no wires. but alas, i have still not found any that don't suck in some way.
so torn between the 175 and 185 :/ I will be mainly using them for games/music. Never had open back before and I am not sure if I would like it, however for an extra $30 for the 185 doesn't sound bad considering I heard that the sound quality is a lot better.
Wish they would make these again mine are not great now lol!! BEST HEADPHONES EVER!!! Around 15k Hours here replaced pad once... Seriously loved them!!!
Zachary Michael Nolen no way this can be actually called wireless or even portable, this thing could have the most beautiful sound in the world but I wouldn't buy it, should be in the "suck" session
Jota + C This isn't meant to be a portable solution. It's meant to be a thing to hook up to say a TV or a receiver and instead of using speakers, you use these.
They aren't Bluetooth so I don't get why you'd use these. I mean most people use wireless headphones with their phones so this would be a wasted purchase
+Joel Perez Most people don't buy studio headphones for their phones... Studio grade headphones are used in offices and for TVs etc. Not for showing off at the gym. It's not an accessory it's a tool. These happen to have amazing sound quality. If you want bluetooth, get bluetooth. These just don't happen to be what a consumer like you are looking for. But there are consumers who need these. Not a wasted purchase.
Unbox Therapy I recommend you try out Bluedio Turbines unboxing on one of the most interesting headphones they feature: about 40 hours music, standby 1600 hours, 48 hour talk time battery life, 57mm drivers for great sound quality, latest bluetooth, charging time 2 hours, multiple device connection, Audio sharinng.. I'm freaking out on these headphones few more features you can cover. .
Daniel K Not really... It's probably currently the greatest wireless headphones that offer uncompressed audio. Plus it is only $350! There are way more expensive headphones out there that offer the needs of other people. For me I dropped $150 on a pair of M50s... It's all what you want.. if its a waste for you cool but don't make a stupid comment.
Depends on what you define a waste of money. Most people wouldn't buy but some would. It's made by senheiser hence the price, but you're guaranteed a quality product.
Yes! Its almost like you read my mind! i am tired of buying earbuds every 3 months because the cable gets damaged...and I think i am going to invest in some good quality wireless or bluetooth
I want a pair of good headphones, preferably wireless but not essential. Also Ideally I would like them to look nice and have good noise cancellation. I listen to Rap and rock mainly. I love bass and want headphones that have good base but still have a overall good clean sound.I don't want to spend over £250. Any suggestions ??????
I could feel the bass from a pair of wireless headphones held kinda near a microphone. *_WOW_* Can we get an update? Wireless headsets are pretty known for not lasting a long time, so if yours are still working a year later I think I'm sold.
+Shelton Burnadeski I work for a consumer electronics store and we sell these things. Basically never got any complaints so far, they seem to last for a long time (like pretty much all Sennheiser's). :) You also get a 2 year warranty that covers a lot. Like literally, a lot of the times they don't even ask what happened to the product, they just send you a new set!
Tamerlan Respawn That sounds really awesome. I recently switched to corded headphones (not headsets, done with those) and a mod mic because of my awful experience(s) with a pair(s) of Logitech G930s. I'm a little leery about buying another wireless headset, but they're so damn convenient when they work, and as far as I'm aware Sennheiser has a completely spotless reputation.
sound-wise it is clearly better to use the digital input. Well if you use digital media at least. Otherwise your digital signal gets converted to analog in your source, back to digital in your sennheiser base unit and then to analog in your headphones.
I got a second hand pair of Rs 180s for dirt cheap. Basically the same and sound bloody great and the range is goddamn godly. I'm so used to Bluetooth connections that barely go to the next room, I can literally just wear my pair in all the rooms of my house.
How is the range on these? My dad always watched TV with some old cheap ass radioshack headphones. He doesn't complain about them but I'm sure he'd love these for his birthday or christmas
Okay so honest question, because I never thought to ask this before. How do you (and other unboxers) get all those products? Do companies just send them to you so that you can review them or are you seriously rich enough to buy all of those?
I am wearing my Sennheiser HD 650s, as I listen to this review. Besides actually having good base and the obvious advantage of wireless use, is the RS 185 better? Also, do you have a DAC buying video out? I am in the market for one.
Hey man. I appreciate the giveaway that you are doing with the iPhones. It just shows how you care about your fans. I just wanted to say that I love watching your videos and they bring me joy. If I ever got a chance to win one I don't care color or size it'd mean the world to. So I hope one of these days you'd see this comment. Thank you Lewis
The Best Bluetooth headphones I have owned for the best price is the Zealot B21! The best loudest bluetooth speaker for the price is the Jam Party on amazon! The yellow one is 30$ its louder than a Jbl Flip 3
used to have wireless sennheiser headphones with dock like that. even though that was like 15 years ago they were great. no control on headphones though.
ive been looking for wireless headphone to work out in. everything seem to suck. best headphones i had were not wireless from like 1995. they blew my ears apart. my question is am i able to workout in these? do i need to be near that transmitter for these to work? or can i just sync to my phone and ve on my way? thanks
I've never been a big fan of wireless headphones as it's just something I either need to remember to recharge, or something else I have to buy, and replace the batteries, also the extra cost of them never appealed to me either. I mostly just use my $9 Meelectronics M9 Classic earbuds with custom extra large single flange tips, and they honestly sound better then many earbuds, and headphones I've payed way more for over the years, which have not lasted me 1/2 as long, as my M9 Classic buds have. Also I should say at this price if something happens too my M9 Classic buds, they are cheap, and easy to replace, and nothing I'd have a heart attack over like these cans.
Just invested 6 mins watching this and am none the wiser. Something about a cleaning product, a private mobile call, etc, but I have no idea about specs, bass response, midrange, treble, any sibilance, warmth (or not) of tone, price, how it compares to the comp and who they are...I could go on..
This right here is why this video is terrible. Absolutely insipid video with near zero content.

i have the Bose QuietComfort 35 and they dont suck
QC 35 didnt exist when this video was uploaded.
Ricky these r way better than the qc 35s tho and the rs 195s are even better
Even then, QC35 is still inferior in the sound quality department, and Sennheiser has bluetooth headphones even better than these ones
I just purchased the Sennheiser RS 175 and will be getting them on Tuesday. I can't wait for wireless surround sound for movies and games.
savedfromdeath75 how have the 175s treated you so far? I have some coming and interested in your thoughts.
Cortlin Korman
I really like them.

Yes! Its almost like you read my mind! i am tired of buying earbuds every 3 months because the cable gets damaged...and I think i am going to invest in some good quality wireless or bluetooth
i have the sennheiser ie800..and yeah SENNHEISER ROCK!
Lewis, whatis the title of the song your playing @5:00?
Your videos are so clean and nice to watch! thank you.
Where can I find instrumentals like the one at 5:30 on spotify, seems like spotify doesnt have that genre
I was just wondering if you had any recommendations for portable Bluetooth speakers. Thanks!
I want a pair of good headphones, preferably wireless but not essential. Also Ideally I would like them to look nice and have good noise cancellation. I listen to Rap and rock mainly. I love bass and want headphones that have good base but still have a overall good clean sound.I don't want to spend over £250. Any suggestions ??????
go on , share your instrumental playlist. this covid-19 lockdown needs more playlists!!
I could feel the bass from a pair of wireless headphones held kinda near a microphone. *_WOW_*
Can we get an update? Wireless headsets are pretty known for not lasting a long time, so if yours are still working a year later I think I'm sold.
buy pioneer lasts long
+Hplays Which one?
+Shelton Burnadeski I work for a consumer electronics store and we sell these things. Basically never got any complaints so far, they seem to last for a long time (like pretty much all Sennheiser's). :)
You also get a 2 year warranty that covers a lot.
I'm a little leery about buying another wireless headset, but they're so damn convenient when they work, and as far as I'm aware Sennheiser has a completely spotless reputation.
what knife is that you use? can you send me a link to where you got it? thanks and keep up the good work.
sound-wise it is clearly better to use the digital input. Well if you use digital media at least. Otherwise your digital signal gets converted to analog in your source, back to digital in your sennheiser base unit and then to analog in your headphones.
What's the song you were sampling in the headphones?? Do you have a playlist of all the music you use? Those are some awesome tracks!!!
I love this guys hoodies
I like how he talks about jack. It cracks me up
I got a second hand pair of Rs 180s for dirt cheap.
Can you please start linking the tracks you use in the videos
Woah.. What is that kind of music called? Is it just something you put into the video as background music, or can I actually find and download it?
Okay so honest question, because I never thought to ask this before. How do you (and other unboxers) get all those products? Do companies just send them to you so that you can review them or are you seriously rich enough to buy all of those?
Corsair Vengeance 2100. Amazing crisp quality sound, decent battery life, small dongle(I don't like the stand concept, takes too much room)
Wireless headphones are supposed to be easy and travel friendly. Although the stand is good for display, it kills the idea of "wireless" headphones.
The corsair 2100 are awesome! They are also wireless and not that expensive, I got them for 60 bucks on ebay
Would you a stil reccomend these? or would you suggest one of the newer models?
Seriously Unbox Therapy! What is that amazing sound at 5:04?!
Found it yet?
I am wearing my Sennheiser HD 650s, as I listen to this review. Besides actually having good base and the obvious advantage of wireless use, is the RS 185 better? Also, do you have a DAC buying video out? I am in the market for one.
The headphones look great. Any thoughts on the weight of the base station? It sounds well constructed but a little on the light side.
Enjoy your vids man
Hi, they look great... but how do the feel on the ear (with the glasses) after a long ware??
The Best Bluetooth headphones I have owned for the best price is the Zealot B21! The best loudest bluetooth speaker for the price is the Jam Party on amazon! The yellow one is 30$ its louder than a Jbl Flip 3
Your side cameras looked very good this episode
used to have wireless sennheiser headphones with dock like that. even though that was like 15 years ago they were great. no control on headphones though.
hey Unbox Therapy you should be on randomfrankp room tour project series
Unbox Therapy Have you tried the Parrot Zik? What are your thoughts about them?
ive been looking for wireless headphone to work out in. everything seem to suck. best headphones i had were not wireless from like 1995. they blew my ears apart. my question is am i able to workout in these? do i need to be near that transmitter for these to work? or can i just sync to my phone and ve on my way? thanks
Just realized im wearing the exact same hoodie... It is also one of my favorites.
