Yep. I've got two 5906s (one round, one square trigger guard), a 6906, a 3913TSW, thinking of picking up a 6904 I saw at a LGS. Both the 6906 and 6904 are very early models, pre novak sights and in great condition
I still have my 6906 and it is a sweet shooting pistol. I have put less than 10 boxes through it. The first draw on the trigger is long but the follow up shots are very quick. I have the same break down issues.
I have the 469 model which as made in 1988 that I purchased in 1994 from a retired police detective who used it as his back-up CCW weapon. Mine looks very similar to the one you have here. It's a great gun and shoots very well to this day.
The Glock looked silly beside the 6904 which is a real beauty. My 5904 along with model's 36, 15. 64, and 686 Smith & Wsssons are my favorites among my gun collection.
I know this might be random, but I’d like to say that I was an atheist in the past, but thanks to a person who talked about God with me, using words different from the words everyone used to fight with me for being an atheist, I came to believe and realize the true presence of God in my life. That person talked about science, and when I said that God did not exist, the person told me that God does not need to exist, because it was God who created the concept of existence. God is infinitely beyond the laws of the universe and we are not able to understand the presence of God, but God is who he is, even though we, mere beings in the universe, are not able to understand this. I may not understand, but I feel the presence of God. I am infinitely grateful to the person who explained this to me, because he saved my life.
So the early models got the shaping to the trigger guard like the gen 2 era compacts following off the devel? I have what i assume is a fairly early 6906 (all stainless parts, no mim) and it doesnt have that forward shaping to it - nor do most guns from this era. You found a really nice one. That or something aftermarket nice was done to it Definitely jealous of this one. Edit: it appears the squared off trigger guard was one of the first features abandoned after release for cost saving purposes. Only very early editions have these it would seem.
🤯🤯🤯 I've never seen one of those before, I really like the way it looks, kind of reminds of a CZ 2075D RAMI, looks about the same size too. I really want one now, so thanks for that lol. 🥺🥺🥺
I have to say, what a beautiful effin piece. You gotta be kidding me. Congrats on your beautiful acquisition. Please let me know if u EVER want to sell it.
@@bennraxx7908 Thanks for the reply, I was able to get my hands on a stainless 6906 and I love it. If I was in Texas I would definitely contact you to buy yours if you were selling.
@@HillbillyNitroUSA no problem brother love ur breakdown of ur fire systems in all ur videos do more with old school guns please I love all the information. Breaking and building back up, clear explanations of everything. If you have a 1911 make a video and break that gun down please how u did this one love from NY cuomos state 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
I own one in the box. My example is in very good condition, but not as pristine as your mint example. It is one of the most cherished pistols in my collection. I purchased mine used in a LGS. I will own it until I leave this mortal coil.
They are great guns but many for some reason lost the safety lever on the off side. Don't know why but I've seen a lot of these missing them. Smith and wesson introduced the 40 Smith and wesson in this gun.
What a beautiful video. I have a stainless 6906 that was sold to me on consignment in commiefornia. Love it to death. Keep a lookout for it. It is truly a beautiful piece. Thank you for your video.
Hillbilly, I bought a used one came with no instruction on operation of anything, especially this single or double action you speak of. I have fired it, double action, I dont know how to make it fire single action, I,m confused. 😊
Hi Greg I came across a beautiful Nicole MARK III 357 Mag. 4" Colt Trooper. It is in super great condition. It is as smother of a gun I've ever Shor and really accurate. I've developed arthritis in my dominant hand. I'm thinking of selling it to get a S&W 6904 slightly used. What would you think a fair price for my Trooper would be?
I have several firearms I will not own a weapon I wont use even a collectable. Will not hurt the value that much . Will bring it down to 95% with the box shoot it bro.
Are keeping it for a while. Then I say yes. If not I don’t think I would that way u tell new owner never been fired truthfully. Or shoot it hell idk. Maybe not aaiihhh heck do know. Lol. If u never shot one u never know if u like it. Yeah shoot it that’s what it’s for. U might just love it. Lol stay safe. From ur ole wv hillbilly buddy. Yeah shoot it make video’s of it to show us all thanks.
This is the what we need today in 2022 instead of the csx like seriously
Yep! My thoughts exactly!
Found one today, new in box from a collector! It has 2 magazines, and I fired a 24 rounds through it this afternoon. Excellent Pistol!
I love the 90's Smith Autos. I keep my eyes open for these on the surplus sites and they are usually not that expensive. They def hold their own.

Found a 5904 mint first year production serial 0022 at cabellas for 440 . It’s easier to find stainless 3rd gen than in blued /black finish .
I have the black cousin gun. A 915 is a 5904 with cheaper finish , cheaper sights, and less fancy machined.
I still have my 6906 and it is a sweet shooting pistol. I have put less than 10 boxes through it. The first draw on the trigger is long but the follow up shots are very quick. I have the same break down issues.
Wow, that is a beautiful firearm! I bought a 915 "new in box" and it was absolutely unfired. As a Gen X gun guy, I just love these "old" Smiths!

Two brand new classic firearms 🤯🤯🤯
Beautiful gun I Would normally say fire it , But like you said it made it this far just give it a good home .
Nice! I've got a 1994 6904. Great gun. I carry it occasionally. It's 100% reliable and plenty accurate. Shoot it and carry it, man!

I hope hr explained that knowing God is nor the same as being saved. For that you must do as Romans 10:9&10 says. Believe on TheLied Jesus Christ 🙏
I still have my old 5904 with the box.
Looks like a good bed side blaster to me, thx for the vid
Don't need the history lesson, I lived it. Was looking for this old girl to put some rounds down range. I have one. Great firearm.
Straight outta 1990!
The "Spec Ord" 9031 on box label, translates to 1990, 31st day.
That's as clean as they come, a beauty!
Thanks for the info!👍🏻
No. The 9 is the last digit of the year, so 31st day of 1989.
a real Virgin!
Best ever .thanks.
Appreciate it! 👍🏻
I have been looking for a Model 59 like that one for decades. What a beautiful gun. Good job on video. I had a 6094 but had to sell it for cash.
Super cool.
Thanks brother! 👍🏻
Can’t find this beauty anywhere in mint condition. Thanks for show and tell.
You’re welcome brother! 👍🏻 👊🏻

Keanu Reeves ... Speed.
Sweet gun, knock the dust out of it. Think of it like a vintage car. Pretty to look at,but more fun to drive.
Beautiful gun like the looks better than the m&p
I have the same gun from 1988. It's a Gen 2 model 469. Only difference is the grips. Mine has 2 piece grips with a plastic backstrap.

Wow, what a find. I have a 5906 and a 5904 both in great condition, but no original boxes.
This would probably survive a house fire better than polymer
Yep.
This was my first semi auto back in the late 90's!! Sad that I sold it....
That's a cool 59
Find yourself a Marlin Camp 9 carbine made between 1985 and 1999 and you can use these S&W 59 and 69 series magazines. Whole lotta fun !😁
Looks way nicer than a glock
Where do you find old guns like these?
Absolutely you should fire it, at least one mag and clean it and never shoot it again lol
Sounds like solid advise
I have the same gun and mine was also made in 1989.
Beautiful gun bro
Thanks Ziad 😎

Nice guns, very good looking guns. I like both of them never heard of the tactical black..
Thanks Al
Shooting my 66-1 all the time along with my 1917 Smith and wesson. Also shoot my pre 64 Winchesters and Belgian browning hp.
Beautiful guns.
Thank you! 👍🏻

Muy bella 😍

I have an S&W 908 that has some holster wear but it shoots unreal. That 6904 is a beauty for sure,
Only guns I refuse to fire are my Colt Pythons even though I have a lot I haven’t gotten around .
