I don't know what I would do without Lowko. I haven't found anyone I enjoy watching cast games as much since Husky. Every day at work when I go on lunch break I am basically watching a Lowko cast.
Another thing that I would find interesting would be to change the way ling bane works. Since they removed the +5HP on the bane research to decrease splash damage (which I am fine witth) they could maybe add that +5HP to the zerglings through adrenal glands. That would make sense logically when considering the name of the upgrade and serve the purpose if decreasing splash damage while not punishing ling bane too much. This would make zerglings able to act like more of a meat shield for the banes when both are in big numbers, while at the same time preserving and even increasing the importance of sniping the banes.
Adrenal glands is also an upgrade that you get late enough to not make the zergling boost to OP while still preserving the early game and working as a driving factor for zerg-players to tech up faster.
Honestly I like the best of 2 format. If we get a best of 5 for example, and the score is 2 - 1, but there's 5 minutes left in the video, I know who is going to win
Yeah, I was thinking about suggesting to add another 10-20 minutes of black screen to those games, but this wouldn't be good for the algorithm I figured, so I didn't suggest it 😂
turns out balancing Zerg around Seral was a bad idea
Right? It's been half a year, and it's obvious that 1) the Cyclone rework did not do what it was intended to do, 2) Zerg has really lost out in build variety as players adjust to the new reality of banelings being pretty bad in pro games, and 3) widow mines somehow missed the double nerf they really, desperately need. Where is the balance council?

I think that the best balance option for widow mines would be to double the targeting time. They are the only unit capable of extreme splash damage where you do not get any time to respond. Other units are visable or their attacks have a pretty long timer before all the damage is dealt. But the widow mine is invisible and does it's full damage in about 0,5 seconds, which is ridiculous. I really like terran as a race in SC2, but I always find myself cringing HARD whenever someone recieves a cheap win because of a unit that is based purely on luck. It also destroys a lot of fun builds against terran which just serves to limit the amount of variety of styles possible in high level games. To me that makes SC2 a bit less interesting to watch in all honesty.
I personally think that variety in builds as well as a focus on more strategic plays as well as mind games would be a better focus for the game, meaning that as many luck based factors as possible needs to be removed or minimized at the very least.
The example of the widow mines behind the vespin gayser was a great show of just strategy, but I do find it unreasonable that your mutas are instantly doomed even though you are fast on the keyboard and instantly retreat after seeing the lock on. Just forcing the mutas to retreat would have been good enough in my opinion.

In competitive boxing or fencing they'd call that medivac move a "feint", and that seems appropriate here too.

There's something about that intro that makes me smile every time!
Honestly. Widow mines are just not fun to play against or watch. They require no micro, no precision, and deals way more damage than burrowed banelings, without dying. I'm not even saying they're imbalanced. They just shut down way too much interesting stuff, way too easily.
I for one am thrilled about using SC1 music! Terran 2 is a banger.

Zerg charging and backing off against Terran always loses them so, so many units.
Either flee, or commit; I see so often half an army is whittled away for no gain, without even making an attack.
