Hello, I have a speeduino spark v1.1 that i am trying to set \up on my car and I am trying to bench-test it however I am not getting any crank signal in Tuner Studio. i am using a Honda rsx crank sensor.. any idea of what I might be missing?
Great video, good detail explaining things. I got a question . I have a stock 01 miata with the vvt and the factory 4 nub trigger wheel. Which Speeduino would work in my case with Miata's vvt ? Thanks
Thank you for this video I have a 2004 Mitsubishi airtrek turbo that I'd like to modify for good performance. I would like a link to buy the complete ECU along with the case. A kit... Thanks in advance One love🇯🇲
@@ezradixon239 thanks for the check up. I located it locally. One week ago. Turbo failure and detonation. Complete rebuild needed. So... I'm taking life one valve or ENGINE 🤨 at a time. One love.
ok so first the arduino took over 3d printing with the Ramps Board now Arduino has advanced to the car engine gas of course however with the gas powered automoble going the way of the horse and buggy dont you think it would be better to experiment with electric motor control ,regin brakeing /battery charging/discharge ,inverter control, I know alot of people today are saying they will never buy an electric car however when they see the neighbor getting 250 miles on $10.00 worth of electric their mine will change.
Nah your smoking dope I’ll keep my car I can get a rebuilt motor and trans for 10 k over a shit be that I can’t drive whenever I want to and after about 200000 miles if you lucky it costs as much as the car to replace the battery that takes a shit
@@clutchboi4038 been trying to use the 1.8 wiring and a ecu connector for the speeduino v0.4 30 pin ribbon cable Hit me if u find out how to wire the speeduino
@@ezradixon239 i'm still learning about standalones in general. i have some experience with electronics but it will take some time to learn what's needed. do you have the service manual for the 1.8 for the ecu pinouts? The first thing I would do is get the service manual and figure how how the oem ecu is wired then wire up the sensors one at a time to the speeduino. with a wiring diagram you can find what color wires are going to your ecu connector and wire it up. what i did find is that it has built in decoder support for 4g63 crank and cam signals so those sensors should wire right up and work. I'm pretty sure the crank wheel signal is the same across 4gxx engines but there are various cam triggers that are used. for my year 2000 eclipse 4g64 I had to put in a cam trigger from an 03 or up model eclipse to make the evo 8 ecu work. so making sure that your cam trigger is compatible with the evo 8 ecu will make the built in decoders for the evo 8 work with speeduino. wiki.speeduino.com/en/decoders/4G63
Thanks 4 the information. I have factory service manuals. For 97 mirage and 2nd gen galant.(donor motor). My problem is understanding the wiring color codes from the wiring diagram. Iam attempting to buil#a separate wiring harness for the speeduino starting with the engine outputs traced back the the speeduino. This will be separate from the factory wiring. I also have an evoscan tuner cable otw. With the software installed on a dedicated laptop . Check them out. My car cranks with the 2.4 wired to the 1.8 factory wiring and ecu. But I can't trace a p0300 to the source of the misfire. I.did a cop conversion before the engine swap. I also have a factory electrical manual for the mirage otw. How can we connect directly to collaborate?
im no codr, so its probably just me but wow... search as i could through the code, i couldnt find any direct reference to pins and timers associated with the crank sensor. sure, theres all the different configs and trigger options, except... much like the whole speeduino itself... it aint got what i want. i only have one cylinder. so i dont need drivers for four. i only have one ignition coil, injector, etc. and, i also figured i can get the RPM from just the VR signal. i dont need toothed wheels or missing teeth. the RPM is right there, and i know how to implement it in assembly, on a pic chip... but yeah... i cant find ANYTHING in the code relating to even the setups that are given... trying to reverse engineer speeduino, slim it down somewhat... thats a bit beyond me at the moment. sigh. i guess i just keep plodding away on a pic chip as its something i started... too long ago!
Hello. Want to ask a question about knock sensor, speeduino doesn't got it's input( or if it is then i couldn't found it ), how you are dealing with it?
Finally, someone clearly explained the confusion to a Speeduino noob. Thank you!
Smack it again I didn't get enough of it in this video
Amazing video.
You covered a lot of what I wanted to know. I was like "What the h*ll are these things?"
I'm definitely interested.
Thank you. Glad it was helpful
Dwight the info in this vid was awesome however you needed to take the camera back a bit so you have everything in the shot lol but well done bro
Great explanation! Thank you 😊

Pnp if they make one or you can use a universal one and wire it in

Can or will u make a speeduino wiring schematic for any mitsubishi 4g64. 2.4
4g93 1.8
Or and 4g mitsubishi motors?
Might be doing this for my 4g64 soon.

Where can you get a ribbon cable and what kind.
I searched Google for a 40 pin idc ribbon cable. Was about 15$ ebay

Speeduino doesn't currently support knock. I tune spark advance, using spark plugs reading, ¼ mile trap speed, and or dyno numbers
@@DCWERX thanks for the guidance man👌
Can you use this on a automatic car ?
Yes
can this work for a 3 cylinder suzuki alto engine?
Possibly
