I like the camera position because I can see the tach and speedo and other gauges, also the best part, that long Peterbilt hood! Also, no radio is good, I like the sound of the engine and shifting.
Steve Miller I totally agree with you. This is a more dynamic angle of everything. It’s interesting too to feel the driver’s head movements for looking to his left and right.
I want to thank you for doing this video. I retired from driving 20 years ago and the view from your camera put me back in the driver's seat again. You made my day!
Kevin Chladek Your very welcome Sir, I might post another sometime, heading up towards Boston so I might get some decent footage thru up state Ny, might put something together next week
You made my day with your comment Kevin sir., My father worked for coalmines and used to operate Komatsu dumptrucks.. I wish I can show him a video of dumptruck. He is now retired from his services and enjoying his second half of life.
I love videos of trucks like this one rolling down the highway with the radio playing. What an amazing view at the end! I may only be 17 years old, and I never got a ride in a truck before, but I long for the moments similar to what this video displays.
John Bach I'm 17 as well, but I've been in and around trucks all my life, and let me tell you, if it's in your blood, any experience inside of a truck is unforgettable.
Thanks for not playing the radio/music. I loved the sound of the engine purring/revving and gears shifting. Always drive safe and remember, we appreciate what you guys do!
Hello from Russia! This is the best video about the work of the truck driver from all that I saw. As if driving, I drove along the roads! Many thanks for the wonderful video watched with friends very much. Clean to you roads, good weather and good payment. Added to subscriptions :)
I'm a driver but unfortunately only a personal car :) I really like American tracks and I watch a lot about the work of drivers in America and their tracks. I really like that you have a whole culture or way of life. It's great. We have cargo transportation in Russia ... but I do not like European trucks myself. Yes, and the system of tractor stops like you do not. Our country is huge, you need a lot of money in infrastructure development.
What a beautiful, wonderful, truck!!! Love everything about it. The stripe you added made a HUGE upgrade in the looks. I like the head mounted camera (could be even tilted down a bit more) so we can see what you see; the mirrors, gauges, maybe even some of the shifting, and over the hood view. Like hearing about what you are discovering about the truck like how to shift, how it pulls, and look forward to hearing about the mpg. Looks like you run about 69 mph @ about 1400 rpm. Every single one of us would LOVE to trade places with you, I'm pretty sure. Enjoy the ride; the rest of us will, too!
Frank Swain thank you for the kind words, I had my seat on the floor and the head strap as low as it would go, I could change the view of the camera to wide angle and it would get more of the dash, might have to play around with it a little, this is a learning curve and new territory.
That's a beautiful truck. I'm working on getting my CDL now and I hope to become an O/O someday and a long nose Peterbilt is my dream truck. Stay safe out there brother
I agree, this is a nice camera view. Really enjoy the width of the shot as well as the seat movement in correlation to the rest of the truck. Great video and stay safe!!!
Life is Good! Enjoy the ride and that awesome new machine. I do like the head cam. I might suggest tipping it down maybe 10 degrees to see a little more of your dash. Amazing how quiet smooth and powerful is your Peterbilt. I like your choice of music too. Amazing scenery, low traffic, good weather, wow... gotta be living the truck driver dream.
Drove 84 many a time, headed east from Portland past Multinoma falls, headed across the wheatfields of Oregon and Washington towards Spokane and beyond. Bitch in the winter, rutted ice and all the rest that make trucking as challenging as it is satisfying.l
I drive a KW always wondered what it would look like looking out of a windshield at a long Hood Peterbilt. you're a good driver with great skills thank you for letting us ride along with you. Keep up the videos
We have a haulage company in the uk and I now see the pros and cons of the way we do it, videos like this inspire me to keep pushing on so maybe one day I can expand to be in the USA. Great video bruv keep it up 👊🏻
I've driven through that part of Oregon in an International cab over but never in a Pete. I'll bet that you're in a smooth ride. I've always wanted one. I test drove one around the block once. Peterbilt really makes a good truck
Love the head strap cam. Gotta get me one. Enjoy the driving vids. Guess you know your addicted to trucking when you start watching other drivers drive.
gday mate im an aussie restarting my life i go for my heavy vehicle licence in a couple of days your videos are really helpful so i hope the truckin lifes for me anyway all the best ill keep watching
Like the camera position much better like most people are saying. Nice rig you got. My step brother drivers for a living up here in Canada. I'm wanting to get into it as well, would love it.
Thx for the video , I love the head strap view , it really gives you the drivers point of view and really gives us the chance of "being in the drivers seat " keep her shiny my new friend, keep the videos coming and be safe my new friend
Ah... cabbage pass... brings back memories. I miss being behind he wheel, shifting through the gears, and seeing this amazing country. I'd still be doing it today if it weren't for ongoing medical issues from the Army. I grew up around trucks. That's all my dad and uncles have done. Once it's in your blood, that's it. All I've ever known are trucks and the military. Even though I'm no longer able to do either, I'll forever be a soldier and a truck driver. No regrets. To all those still running the roads and slamming gears... keep it between the ditches and out of your britches!
Good job.....I think a second camera and you might have an academy award in the future... great drivers vantage point plus smart phone for quick look when the unusual rolls by. See ya down the road.... look'n forward to them summer seat covers...
Such a comfy video, wonderful truck. From time to time I get interested in being a truck driver, but in my country that's a much worse profession due to poverty.
very beautiful truck!! I love watching videos like this even though I do the same thing lol. something about this stuff gets in your blood ? lol. I haul a gasoline tanker and I run the northwest mainly but only i have a kenworth 900 l now. I have the cummings isx 550hp and absolutely love the engine. we run 105,000 and I'm getting around 5.8 mpg with it. My previous truck was a Pete 379 with a 550 cat, which is still running in the fleet with over a million miles on it, still a great truck, but I have to say peterbilt steve specs some of the most beautiful Pete's I've seen including yours!! Beautiful truck buddy!!! love it, and keep up the good work and drive safe!! will keep watching!!!
Joseph Wilber thank you, W 9 icon 900 was my first choice but the dealer wouldn't take my call and Peterbilt Steve's customer service is what convinced me into the Pete plus the level of specs on it, thank you for watching and safe travels to you as well.
thank you chief for shearing the video recording i like the. second part up the hill couse the video it turns on super HD it looks all real that was nice .. but also the beautiful view at the rest erea that's awesome our creator its wise and he created us the feel to appreciate those gorgeous creations great job God bless your way

Thanks, nope i m going Temp Controlled division, just waiting on some medical paperwork to be sent to company to see if DOT DR. will accept a letter about my meds
That would be neat if you could do a two way mirror mount you'd definitely get some great shots. I'm coming your way at the end of next month, wife wants to go to Gatlinburg I always go down 55 and take 4 over to 64 and go the Paducah way. Other's have said to go to Indy and take 69 South to 24

Петр Казанова Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed my video all the way from Russia 🇷🇺, modern technology is great, are you a driver?

It's so hard to choose between a KW W900 Studio Sleeper or a Peterbilt like this! If only Peterbilt could have a Studio Sleeper haha
Wildjesta ᄋོུཉᄌᄋོུཉ then nobody would buy the W9 lol

Well done man, great video
Sound of that engine is nice
I drive a day cab and broker freight. maybe someday my efforts will end with a truck like that lol great truck man. =)
