The VTEC on newer Type-Rs (FK2 and FK8) works as a "reversed VTEC" which means it actually engages at lower rpms to compensate turbo lag and make the car get out of corners faster. The fact of the VTEC not engaging at higher rpms (usually 5.5k) doesn't mean it doesn't have VTEC. It is still variable valve timing.

I think that's because in Winter the cars (some of them) had winter tires, it kinda helps a lot in snow. While in Spring you have normal tires on rain...
Drivatars use the car that fits the requirements that the real person has spent the most amount of time driving in FH4. So everyone's in Zonda R FE or Ford Focus RS

Best car in game for Forzathons IMO is the Hoonicorn. It can do drift zones, speed zones, rally zones and works in snow as well. Best 500K ever spent.
I use the Ford RS200. It works like a charm!
